What would you say was their best match? I've always been a fan of the BATB 94 match because it was the first time I had seen a match between the two as the UK never showed the MSG shows on any Home Vid releases. I can't be certain but im pretty sure WCW filmed one of their tour matches because when I used to watch DSF a german channel which was the only way to see all the WCW TV they showed clips of one of the matches in Germany. Hopefully someone else can confirm this as im unsure if the footage aired on US versions. I'd go with their '94 trilogy as their best -- Bash, Clash, and Havoc. All really strong matches. The SuperBrawl IX match was really uniquely good and violent. They were on their way to building an amazing match between legends that lost its way when the booking kicked in, but that match makes me sad. If Flair had won that clean, or even if Hogan won without the David Flair crap, I think it would be their best match. I don't think it would be remembered that way because of problems with WCW during that time, but it would be the kind of match people look back on and are wowed by. I still think that's the case to an extent, but now it feels more like a missed opportunity to have a great match, one where the work was there but the booking wasn't, than a great match. Why are the WWF ones looked down upon saying they didn't jell like they hoped so Mania got cancelled? Or did 2 years later make everything work out better. For me I loved the Beach & Halloween matches in 1994 they were awesome. Superbrawl was a good match and yeah I agree without the BS David Flair thing probably would have done better, still no reason why Hulk couldn't wrestle like a face and be aggressive like a heel I mean ive seen Rock & Austin do it while faces. An asskicker Face Hogan would be great, yeah WCW had problems a year later when Russo took over getting rid of the Legends while in the process making himself and the heels the top dog which I absolutely dispised. Least the Heel NWO group there was a point.

Absolutely. An extremely underrated blunder in the monday night wars. A big turning point. That match was somewhat confusing in itself. Wasen't there some stip on the cage match and they just changed it during the match? Seeing as Hogan was the Champion it was a bit odd no NWO tried to help Hulk.

Mahal is not a "I hate that guy I want him to lose" heel, which is what heels should be. He's more of a 2004 JBL "I hate that guy I'm changing the channel he bores me call me when someone interesting is champ" heel. Which is NOT a good thing. Jinder may bring ratings in India but sure as hell doesn't do anything for USA Network.

Enzo didn't really make alot of sense being there as he is a established WWE star. Same for Neville. I get its cruiserweights but 205 seemed better if it was just for stars who havent made the jump to Raw or Smackdown to showcase their talent and get noticed.

It seems ironic that as soon as Flair came in that Ricky Steamboat left which is a shame as imagine Flair/Steamboat in WWF but then again im sure management wouldn't have made it work like NWA did. Feuds from other feds don't seem to transition well when WWE does the matches years later. This. Even by early 1999 they drew the biggest WCW PPV buyrate in a long while, and were still working quite decently together, with Hogan carrying the bulk of the work at this point (yeah, I said it, Hogan was better than Flair then). The first match in 1994 is everything it should have been and one of Hogan's best matches. How was the buyrate for the Hogan/Flair strapmatch in 2000?

Has Lana actually won a match yet? I know she lost to Naomi a few times which didn't really make alot of sense changing her from Manager to wrestler.

For me im glad Ric didn't leave NWA in 88 as Id heard about him wrestling Savage at Summerslam 88 but then we wouldn't have been treated to the 1989 feud with Ricky Steamboat. If they had kept Flair in 93 as Main Eventer who would he have feuded with? Hogan, Piper, Warrior were all gone and Randy was back commentating.

Looking back at Wrestlemania 8 I think Hogan/Sid HAD to go on last, I know alot of people rave on about how Flair/Savage should have gone on last but Warrior returning was a massive deal and him returning needed to be at the end of the show. For me personally I wasent all that pleased that Flair won the belt at the Rumble as felt the way WWE portrayed him as a new star coming into WWF he seemed to have gotten the belt way too quickly. But honestly thinking back I don't know what the best scenario would be I mean sure I wanted Hogan to win but then if hes leaving how do you figure Wrestlemania sending fans home happy with Hulk losing the belt or just keep it on him when hes in Hollywood, ideally Hogan beats Ric for the title but alot of different scenarios. I don't see Sid as World Champ being a ideal choice either as he is too fresh to the WWF audience and well he got busted in April anyway. Its a difficult one to do because likely the world champ would be a face at Mania whoever walks out with the title but from a stand point I'd have loved Piper to walk out of the Rumble with both belts as they mentioned it several times.

They actually announced that Hogan vs. Flair was going to be the Main Event of WM8. Like on TV, and everything. I remember it very clearly. Then they changed it. Why would they announce it and promote it if it was never really the plan? That sounds like more than a fanboy fantasy to me. Theres been this rumour for years Ive heard going all the way back to 1992 that the plan for Mania 8 was Hogan/Flair but Sid played his card saying he was guaranteed the Main Event slot at Wrestlemania so that being the reason it happened because of his contract. Then you hear the stuff about it being changed because Hogan wanted to do films. But I also heard they wanted to build Hogan/Flair for a solid year and actually do the match at Wrestlemania 9 instead but things happened where Flair wanted to go back to WCW and Hulk was gone to Hollywood. No idea whats true and what isn't as not sure if any shoot interviews covered it.

Didn't Eddie Guerrero do the same thing but time he got clean it was too late for him?

Sky One has a new comedy show called Living the Dream and I noticed Buff Bagwell & Kevin Nash in it. -
If you believe that's the whole story. If it is he's really stupid. Neville comes across as having a major sulk because he wasen't going over but why do UK wrestlers go this way? Barrett was another one who got a mildly decent push but because John Cena won their feud and other things he just quit. I mean they get the whole world given to them and it just seems they don't appreciate the opportunity they are given, Paige looks like she's another one who doesn't appreciate where she is. The are thousands of indy wrestlers who would love a shot at going to WWE but no it seems the wrestlers who they have get greedy over it. I did see the show where Barrett was on stage and he said did anyone want to see him lose to Cena? Well, yeah you're the bad guy and im sure lots of kids loved Cena winning and some of the adults too.

Why can't Kane just disappear back to where he went. Honestly I'm sick of Strowman being forced down my throat week after week, I didn't like him in the Wyatt family and I sure as hell am fed up of him hogging the spotlight on Raw every damn week going over everyone.

I can see an argument for 97 Hart Foundation for the promos alone. Plus they had way better rivals. Even DX had better feuds and were a better stable than The Shield.
-
Well they did all they could with Roman/Lesnar last time at Mania and it seemed obvious Roman was about to lose before Rollins added himself into the match. The Sheild reuniting should have been set at a major PPV maybe some way like Ambrose goes heel distancing away from Roman so when it happens it's totally unexpected kinda the way HHH went heel when Chyna went face at Mania 15. That moment went offguard and was unpredictable so surely WWE could have done something not predictable next year.
-
Would it not have been better saving it for Wrestlemania when Roman goes against Brock?
-
If people say wins and loses don't matter it obviously does to Neville. Walking out on the job just because he didn't want to lose to Enzo on Raw.
-
Why was Matt Hardy treated like a jobber on Raw? Sometimes I feel he should have stayed in Impact.

Im sure i've asked this question before but I can't find the answer. During a Shawn Michaels interview he was talking about a match where the Rockers battled the Brain Busters and said it was one of the best tag matches he ever had. Does anyone happen to know which match he was talking about? I think he was referring to a house show match which likely from the time frame was televised but I can't remember which show it was. -
Hopefully when Smackdown airs on Tuesday Shane fires Sami for that stunt he pulled. I really wanted Shane to win considering he hasent won a single match since hes come back.
-
I would have thought if WWE was going to do a War Games match they would have done it on a PPV featuring Raw and Smackdown stars.
-
Well at least the first hour of Nitro was entertaining and had decent wrestlers that could work!
-
Are they referring to Parade of Champions matches that were part of WCCW TV or the actual Supercard shows? I couldn't find the Parade shows.
