  2. Without a doubt def going pre 96, as much as I enjoy the attitude era and past for me it wasent real wrestling, I loved the Hogan era and all the cool characters they had like Jake, Demo, LOD, Rude, Ted, Andre, Superfly, Razor, Rockers and on the other side you had The Horsemen running things so yeah ill pick that era any day.
  3. Randy was well known over the years for wearing some really colourful attires so thought id ask if anyone have a particular favorite attire that he wore. Alough the question does have a double meaning because I want to wear something for things like comic-con events so after ideas. For me as a kid I always loved his Summerslam 1992 attire he wore One of my all time favourite attires had to be the one he wore during WWE tour of the UK in 1992 against Shawn. My last favourite one has to be the one he wore the night he regained the WWE Title after a 3 year wait, alough not courful like others it was just cool. Cant wait to hear what other favs other fans liked, was never really into his black attires he wore during his NWO days but heard he recycled alot of attires in WCW.
  4. Outlaw Joel Deaton. I don't think he was ever intended to be a jobber, he unfortunately only had the one angle during his brief time there. A series of 3 matches with Rich and a tag match Rich/Gilbert vs. Deaton/Samu (during Samu's month or so run where he was not affiliated with the SST for whatever reason). Not sure he had any other TV matches outside Saturday nights. Last week I came across another Rich/Deaton match from Power Hour where Deaton used Brass Knucks to score a victory, on the Saturday show from memory I think he just pulled the trunks so deff a different match. Last night on my next show for Power Hour I did notice Deaton tagging with Samu to face Pillman & Zenk so looks like he was wrestling outside the Saturday Nights, I may have seen him wrestling on Main Event also but cant remember.
  5. Who was Outlaw Deaton? Been watching NWA TV from 1990 and noticed this jobber who beat Wildfire Tommy Rich twice, once by pinfall which did seem a little odd for a jobber at the time.
  6. I myself have just finished watching the World Championship Wrestling show the one before it was called Sat Night the week after Clash 10, they like to get alot of tag matches on these shows weekly. My big question is now im into Feb 1990 are there any big Televised matches in the coming months I should be keeping my out for before I hit the Bash?

  8. Ive been slowly going through NWA to catch up on the shows I missed during my WWF rewatch project and kinda wished I had watched each week side by side. WWF I got up to end of october 1990 and felt I wanted I should be viewing NWA at the same time so started from Starrcade 1986 and only now have just got up to WCW TBS Christmas 1989 as the last match had Sting vs Luger for the US belt when Gary Harts cronies got involved so Flair & The Andersons evened it up.
  9. I didn't even know Martel was TV Champion until I read Powerslam Magazine because whoever was in charge of giving the UK a edited version of Nitro didn't show us anything of his run.

  16. Upon finally getting to WWF Summerslam 1990 I felt I needed a break for a bit from WWF TV. Well main reason is I need to start watching WCW TV so I can see a comparrison on both promotion on the same dates. Ive finally made a decision after much deliberating and felt the best starting point on NWA/WCW is to start with Starrcade 1983! I did want to start at the beginning of 83 but felt because of the lack of episodes available apart from a small run of what 24/7 aired I think they covered 81/82 and as all episodes of Mid Atlantic exist from the week after Starrcade is where im starting a rewatch project. So as I start from Dec 83 episodes of Worldwide to 1984 is there any other shows that are a must for viewing this era? Obviously WCCW Parade of Champions 1984 is due to the Title Change and the rematch in Japan but any other shows from this era I need to watch as I gather Flair did shoot Angles with the Von Erichs but unsure what else.
  17. Was browsing Youtube last night and I came across this video As it was taken 25th July I think it is probably his last ever televised interview.
  18. On my ongoing saga to go through weekly WWF TV from 83 - 94 the first match that came on last night was Piper vs Conquistador.
  19. This is pretty sad news and to think I was watching a Piper/Conquistador match last night not knowing he had passed away till this morning. I kinda always expected Piper, Hogan & Flair to be the ones to outlive everyone.

  21. Thinking about WCW in 1992 what broadcast order did they air in? I think 2 shows aired on the same day didnt they? Reason I ask is years ago I had a old WCW magazine from back then and I seem to recall it listed a bunch of stuff like when shows aired and the times they aired. But dont have the magazine anymore to check.
