I was always a big Kidman fan and wished he didn't retire so early. the Kidman/London team/feud in 2004 was awesome and one of my favorite examples of the original brand split allowing lots of time and focus on a smaller mid card feud.

I'd love it even if it just an FPR update. FPR is pretty much the only game I play (or sim rather) and it's been my constant for 13 years but at this point I'm falling behind on my game being current as far as missing a lot of today's stars with a limit on amount of edits. The idea of unlimited edits sounds fantastic. But I don't yet have a PS4 and my comp likely wouldn't run Steam well.

WWE TV 07/02 - 07/08 BELGIUM WITH THE UPSET AGAINST JAPAN
Alucard replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Awful. Same thing they tried to make a huge deal out of when Braun pushed Kalisto in the dumpster two feet off the stage. Braun hasn't been interesting since the initial Roman feud last year IMO. -
Agreed 100%. Felt like a massive step back to me. As a more casual follower, once Cody dropped the title, I stopped hearing much about ROH outside of Bullet Club stuff here and there while when he was champ I always knew to follow along the results of big shows and Castle's reign felt entirely forgettable.

I've been bored by everything the bludgeon brothers have done since this gimmick, so not looking forward to Bryan going to the tag division now but I hope it's with Kane of course (or his WrestleMania tag partner Shane O Mac!)
-
They worked the Main Event tapings before Raw last night so guessing they'll be back on TV soon. Figured the B Team was just a feud to stall Drew and Dolph getting the titles but with Dolph getting the IC, maybe not and AOP will be next in line. Sanity finally debuts on SDL tonight too.

I think Alexa has had some very good matches against plenty of opponents and has proven to be quite good in the ring. Yeah she didn't do much in the MITB match but I thought she was the star of the Chamber match with that crazy Twisted Bliss off the pod. Her match against Asuka from Jan 1 and her series with Sasha last August are two of my favorites, plus the Nia matches being way better than expected. Her title reigns all come down to timing more than anything. Outside of the first one being just because she was the new rising star. She won it a second time only because Naomi got injured and dropped it right back to her as soon as Naomi was back. She beat Bayley because Bayley had a long reign and literally beat every other woman on RAW at the time so it was time. This one feels more like just to be the transition to Ronda at SummerSlam.

Yes! Loved that and Alexa as champ again. Ronda beating Alexa for the title will be more epic anyways. On the other hand, Braun winning was so boring and not needed. Could've been a real boost for anyone else in the match, a shame.
-
I'm pulling for Alexa as it's her against 7 babyfaces tonight. Figured Natalya wouldn't win since she won the big 4 way on Raw last week. Like the idea of a cash in tonight when Styles and Nakamura both go down, except I'm thinking it will be Joe not Miz but either one works.
-
And won 5 seconds after :/
-
Agreed, he always loses the big ones. Show has been rather predictable with every match going exactly as expected. Shayna/Nikki didn't really feel special but the other three were all great.
-
Amen to that! One of my favorite tapes to watch and one of the all time greatest video packages.

Got hyped for a second as well. I think Reigns/Khali would be pretty fun.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Alucard replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
For what it's worth, after the next 2 weeks of TV air from Orlando, the July TV, Slammiversary and the following TV for August into September will all be from Canada so hopefully they'll have a real lively crowd there. -
My favorite bit was learning that Vince was apparently a huge fan of Sabu and had big plans for him if only he cut promos. Makes me wish we got to see a big WWE Sabu push. I felt bad for Braden Walker. Dude had some legit great singles matches in TNA (most notably the all time great Texas Death vs Storm in 07, but also good stuff over the years vs Jarrett, Raven, Christian, etc.) and they made it sound like he was just some tag guy who never wrestled singles matches or cut a promo in his life. Back in 08 I felt they never even gave him a chance, they threw him on TV after maybe 7 months in developmental, give him 2 under 5 minute matches then he's cut a month later. I think Benoit was definitely cut, the way they abruptly went into the Johnny Nitro title win. Speaking of which, I wish they talked more about the Nitro/Punk series, specifically the night Punk finally won the title as that was such a 'everything comes together perfectly' kind of deal with a massive crowd pop for Punk finally winning in a legit great match after all of their prior matches never coming close to that level.

Next week's Bruce pod is gonna be on AJ Styles 2010-2013 TNA run. Conrad said they were trying to work a deal for footage from Impact's GWN.

He's always in and out, he'd usually appear in their backstage segments at the "LAX clubhouse" and when he wasn't at whatever taping, they would refer to him taking care of LAX business in Mexico or something along those lines. I believe he last worked the barbed wire massacre against oVe in November (aired in January) and then a couple Xplosion matches at the following tapings. -

Yeah. It looks like they're doing EYFBO & Eddie Kingston vs. Homicide, Hernandez, and... someone. I guess Konnan or an emissary.I saw Homicide & Hernandez vs. EYFBO 2.5 years ago at the Rey-Ki show. First half was an excellent brawl all over the building. Second half was EYFBO getting the heat really badly. They're MUCH better now, so I'm to Switch around, Kingston is with Homicide & Hernandez while Konnan is with Ortiz & Santana I didn't realize I was that far behind. I'm still at the Eddie procures hookers for EYFBO phase. the latest Homicide/Hernandez return portion won't actually air on TV for probably another month -

Conrad says the new episode on the topic of ECW on Syfy will not be going up tonight due to "creative differences" and WWE wanting to edit it, so it will be up Friday instead.

Kind of felt like they were going to rush to it after last night, making it like Dolph cost Drew by getting chumped out in two minutes. Originally figured they were next in line for the tag titles but depends how far they wanna take the B Team. And yeah, Sonya/Asuka are amazing together. I wish Sonya had more of a push and they built to that as a big showdown later on.

Wrestling moves/holds I'd like to see mount a comeback

Randy Orton's used it a few times over the years, most recently last year. Feel like someone else has in recent times but blanking on who else. -

I loved when Neville started using the Superplex as a finish. Agreed, The Usos were using it last year during their heel run for awhile. -
I always thought Test was awesome. Even later on, his one off match with Brock at KOTR 02 was pretty fun, and he was a really great heel in '03 during the Steiner/Stacy feud.

Yeah as mentioned Bryan absolutely destroyed Cass this week. But then he's in a MITB Qualifier vs. Samoa Joe for the last spot next week so I guess we'll see. That should probably be a Joe squash regardless, especially if Cass is going in injured from Bryan's attack.
