  1. There was that one time in that 2013 period when the crowd suddenly got hot for a Titus/Roman staredown, I think it was during one of those Shield vs the roster matches. For a moment at least, he came off like a big deal the people could get behind. I did enjoy his brief feud with Rusev before they turned him again and I generally dig the Titus Brand though found it odd that Tozawa just disappeared from it.
  2. Agreed on the mentions of 2004 and 2007 for RAW. For 2004, I really liked the period around Survivor Series with Orton, Jericho, Benoit, and Maven as the top babyfaces opposing Evolution. Recently rewatched the Raw after on the Network where they build the show around Maven challenging for the title or joining Evolution, really fun stuff. In 2007, the Cena/Federline feud was so great, I wish K-Fed stuck around to do more. I'd also throw a mention to mid/late 2008 for RAW, there was some excitement there from when Punk cashed in MITB through to Jericho's reign having some solid big time TV matches.
  3. Agreed 100%. That was a hell of a run until the Superstar Shakeup nuked SDL. Loved the Alexa/Becky and Miz/Ziggler feuds especially. That and the summer of 2009 Smackdown were two of the first that came to mind. Morrison, Punk, and Hardy were all killing it against one another with awesome matches.
  4. Agreed. She's become my favorite performer in the company over the past 12 months, from the Becky feud to now with this being one of her best overall performances.
  5. Agreed with most of the posts above. On a side note, regardless of her height, Alexa's knockout punch has always looked killer and was usually sold as such. I can't recall for sure but thought she won one match with it before.
  6. In most cases, she's only winning the blowoffs, she isn't winning everything every week. Coming from SDL (where she put over Naomi three straight times on the way out), she comes to RAW and beats Bayley quick for the title to establish her on Raw. From there she went in to the Sasha feud, where she lost by countout at Great Balls of Fire, got pinned in a tag the next night, lost clean to Bayley the following week, and then lost the title to Sasha at Summerslam with no wins in between. Then she regains the title in the only time she ever beat Sasha. After that it was back to losing tags and a clean singles loss to Nia on Raw before No Mercy. Now she only looks strong because she retained in a four way and has two straight wins over Mickie James, who had basically been brought back as the veteran to put others over, which I believe is only being done to build her up some to feed to Asuka. The fact that when she does win, is usually a clean win, is actually refreshing to me. I think she's one of the best talkers in the company but as far as not losing promo battles, I feel like Mickie punked her out almost weekly in their feud including laying her out with her finish just last week. Personally, I'm a big Alexa fan and feel like a lot of some peoples resentment towards her push has been because it's finally pushed Bayley to the background somewhat. Everyone else in the division is kept pretty strong. Alexa beat Sasha one time ever, hasn't beat Nia, etc. Asuka's there now, Mickie got more usage in this feud than she has since returning and even Alicia Fox is getting used this month.

    WWE TLC 2017

It would certainly have been the most logical choice, considering the Shield stopped Strowman from beating Matt up a couple weeks ago which led to Braun being in the match in the first place. But I am greatly looking forward to seeing Kurt in the mix.
  8. The only babyface he wrestled but didn't actually beat; John Cena. During his recent media tour in India he did a Q&A where he said he'd want Cena at Mania. They've started building Jinder/AJ off AJ claiming Jinder's beat everyone but him, though Jinder did pin AJ back in May the week before he won the title.
  9. I'm with you all the way on this one. This felt like the most heated rivalry in WWE this year. Not wrestling every week but 2-3 times a year makes him come off as a real special attraction and he goes all the way out to deliver every time. He was in my personal favorite match of 2017 (v Styles) and 2016 (Survivor Series) so I look forward to his matches every time. Didn't love the finish here but enjoyed the entire 35+ minute match as a wild spectacle.
  10. Agreed on both accounts. Of the Shane matches, this felt like the one he could've come away with the win considering he was avenging Vince and all.
  11. Agreed. Asuka/Emma is one of my all time favorite NXT matches and maybe my favorite Asuka in NXT match. Well-built feud with those mentioned spots adding amazing drama when Asuka's streak was still early and Emma was at her heel best so it was totally believable that the Emma/Dana duo could have pulled off cheating to win.
  12. This is absolutely not true and is almost completely opposite. Alexa lost clean to Nia on Raw just last week. She lost the title clean to Sasha at SummerSlam after losing by countout to her at Great Balls and in between those lost clean to Bayley on Raw to originally set up SummerSlam. Yes she won the title back and retained it here (which I think is clearly to set up her eventual destruction by Asuka), but her losses are a lot more than her wins. Even her last month on Smackdown, she lost to Mickie and put over Naomi three straight times. She's gotta have some credibility so she has to win the big matches sometimes, even if it's rare.
  13. Maven, I marked for him all the way and loved any time he got near the main event scene, and Alex Riley who I wished would have been the breakout star of 2011.
  14. It is a matter of Jeff Hardy being a fucking terrible pro-wrestler. I have yet to see a single match where I can say he was *good*. I loved his last WWE run 2006-2009. Don't know if you'd like any of it but thought he had some great matches with Johnny Nitro in 06, Umaga in 07, Triple H in 08, and Punk in 09 among others.
  15. Amen to all this. Sums up my favorite period in TNA history, 2011-2012, and agreed that shortly after Lockdown 2013 was when things took a downturn

    WWE TV Sept 4-10

I'm in the minority but I thought last year was Ziggler's best. The promos building up to SummerSlam were his career best (Ambrose's too IMO) and the Miz feud was consistently delivering good-great matches.
  17. They were planning on showing footage of Lashley and Moose from TripleMania on the episode, so they probably figured they'd cover the Rosemary part too since it got the most attention. But no Sexy Star hasn't worked GFW.
  18. Maybe we'll get HHH/Angle since it was a rumor at one point for Summerslam. If they are gonna have Angle do anything in the ring, I feel like it would be against HHH.
  19. That actually got "This Match Sucks" and boring chants. Thought it was one of the worst reactions to the division yet.
  20. Khali fan here as well, reading that post about the coverage when he won the title is awesome. Wish he stuck around after returning last month, at least as a special attraction. Aside from the great Cena matches, thought his title run and feud with Batista was a lot of fun, really dug the match vs HHH at Summerslam the following year too.
  21. It was going to be live this coming Thursday, surprised they didn't just have Ki go over him for it.
  22. Greg the Hammer Valentine using Roxette's "The Look" though, was greatness!
  23. That bizarrely led to a double turn at the end of 2015 with Paige re-turning face. Before she left as mentioned she was sorta back feuding with Charlotte. She beat her on Raw twice then lost the title match. Her last match was teaming with Sasha against Charlotte & Dana in June 2016
  24. I was hoping for HHH/Angle, but it seems too late now for them to try to rush HHH back for SummerSlam. Starting to wonder if they're going to put Kurt back in the ring after all. Maybe for Mania.
  25. I'm one of the very few fans of Mike here, loved their TNA run and thought he had plenty of good matches against different guys.. Moose, EC3, Edwards, etc. But I definitely agree it feels like WWE is already giving up on them being anything special here. Losing on the PPV *and* taking the fall 2 days later teaming with Aiden English... like damn.
