  1. I'm still watching and enjoying Impact as well, I think the show is very good more often than not. Agreed with Lashley's year, he's become one of the best dudes going today.
  2. I don't see anything special in Bayley, or sami zayn.
  3. I agree on Broken Matt and Lashley. Both are two of my favorites right now. Lashley is perfect in his role and has become fantastic on the mic. I actually think TNA has done a good job with the flow of feuds and story progression though. Drew/Lashley was a nicely built long title feud that has transitioned well into the Drew/EC3 rivalry while Lashley has multiple possible challengers that they can cycle in and out, like Eddie Edwards last week. Also thought the introduction of Moose has been very well done and a match between him and Lashley already feels big.
  4. I'm with you, but including the Dolph win for me.
  5. Best thing about tonight was I think Ziggler only hit one superkick - and won with it. Battle of 100 superkicks is what I feel like I was watching Kevin Owens in on Sunday.
  6. They'll stick with which one they are taped with. Superstars w/ RAW and Main Event w/ SD. Tom Philips doing commentary for Superstars w/ Graves and Main Event w/ Otunga. This week's Superstars features Bo Dallas vs. Sin Cara and the Dudleyz vs. Swagger & Titus.
  7. Glad to have discovered this is where the reviews have continued! Never been in this section before. I too enjoyed the original KOTM match a lot. I love the rise of Chris Harris at the time and thought for sure he was a future world champion. Was a huge fan of the other matches you reviewed as well with Harris against Jarrett and then Raven, the road to the cage was good stuff. I hated when Harris didn't get his shot and then of course never won the title at any point later on. Haven't seen since it aired but the upcoming week 6/9/04's AJ Styles vs Frankie Kazarian match was one of my all time favorites from back then, aside from the execution of the finish.
  8. Ever since Raw went to three hours they have had multiple 10+ minute matches in a single show. The 4 minute Raw match hasn't really been a thing in years. Its the exception now, not the rule. It's usually a balance of both with a few longer matches and a few 3-4 minutes or less. For example last night had the opening tag go a little over 10, the 12 man almost 20 and Ambrose/Rollins over 20 while Darren/Alberto, the women's tag, Corbin/Cara, and Rusev/Sheamus vs Ryder/Ziggler were all under 4 minutes. On a side note, I still think Summer Rae is awesome and hope she gets used more with the draft and doesn't end up in that mid card washouts category
  9. Glad to hear you're still watching (and enjoying!)
  10. Agreed, i didn't mind this as just a wild brawl in the woods. But it definitely made me want to see the feud continue in that direction as a blood feud and just a have a chaotic street fight at Battleground.
  11. Sounds like the fuel to keep you going!
  12. I don't really see this triple threat as that "special" of a match, considering the amount of times all three have wrestled each other in singles and they just had the four way on PPV last year with Orton which was close enough for me.
  13. We will definitely be here hoping it continues. "Every year of TNA"!
  14. I thought he had the biggest pop he's had in awhile this past Monday, seemed like one of the strongest reactions of the show IMO. I'm still glad to have him back full time anyway.
  15. Yes please! One of the best veteran midcarders of the original brand split era. Awesome mini feud with JBL on SD In 04-05, fun low card matches vs Sylvan and Orlando Jordan, awesome underrated tag teams with Haas and Billy Gunn, plus the later ECW work including his classic vs RVD. Of the names mentioned, I think Carlito and Shelton are the most likely ones. I think Jeff Hardy in time maybe since he's expressed interest but not soon. I support bringing back every one of those names mentioned though. Would love to see Kurt back but just can't see it happening.
  16. I wish they didn't do that last round of cuts, could've kept Alex Riley. Though now I do look forward to bringing back any possible veteran midcarder there is. Hopefully get some legend runs like Animal, Tatanka, and Hacksaw had in 05-06.
  17. Did you see Asuka/Emma from Takeover: London? Loved that match, one of my favorites of last year.
  18. Aries/Nakamura and Asuka/Nia were badass matches. Plus that tag team match, awesome again and I love the appearance of Paul Ellering I love the theme music, reminds me more of something like Chyna's "Don't Treat Me Like a Woman" theme.
  19. I have also really enjoyed Impact a lot for the past several months and think they have done a great job building up to Slammiversary. Lmao at the video above. Awesome.
  20. I really enjoy what I've seen of RVD in shoots and I'll second Kevin Nash as a favorite. For a left field choice, I recently watched some of the Youshoot with ICP and thought they were very funny, real cool and had some great stories.
  21. Really awesome segment that felt like something special, loved the crowd reaction. Not sure about turning AJ at this point but looking forward to the match(es) for sure.
  22. I think they switched the champions' brand enough that the two champions usually felt on equal footing. the WWE title was SD from 02-05 then RAW from 05-08, SD from 08-09 with even HHH as the WWE Champ on Smackdown for most of 2008. I personally loved that run with stuff like the HHH/Hardy series and the shows were constantly feeling fresh. Looking back there's definitely a lot I loved about the split and it made the years stand out a lot more compared to the last couple years kind of blending together. It just seems like such a big change now since Raw is 3 hours and they've always needed most of the whole roster for that.
  23. Ha I loved those, especially LOD 2k5 I marked for their title win. I want more legends/returning veterans in today's WWE midcard.
  24. I always liked him as well and thought he would be a much bigger star than he ended up being. He was a regular for NWA Southwest in the years prior to TNA (99-02) and seemed to have a great look, good in the ring, solid on the mic, etc. Rodney Mack was a regular there as well and I thought when he moved on to ECW then WWE, that Northcutt wouldn't be far behind. Shame he never ended up doing much outside of his 9 reigns as NWA Texas champ.
  25. TNA delivered the goods for two weeks straight at least! I haven't watched it since it aired but I remember loving the Juvi/Teddy Hart match at the time. I sense it probably wouldn't hold up on rewatch.
