Hopefully it will be in a similar mould to the Bret and Shawn DVD from a few years back. Even if it were a case of two guys sitting down having a laugh about their memories and showing mutual respect (Piper and Flair for example). I wouldn't expect anything controversial but there are certainly some fun possibilities that would make a nice watch.

I'm in a very similar position. I look back at how much wrestling I used to watch, hunt out etc and it is nowhere near what I ingest today. I used to have 20K posts on a board which was mainly me talking about wrestling. 20,000! Thinking about that makes me shudder a little. How much wrestling talk was I willing and able to get involved with, not to mention how much spare time I had on my hands Jesus. Today I have a cat, house, career and family. My spare time is spent looking into home improvements, holiday's, day's out and all that good stuff. I still enjoy wrestling obviously, but my fandom is nothing like what it was which is frankly a good thing IMO. EDIT: an honourable mention must go to the ease of access to podcasts over the last few years, especially the last year where they have seemingly exploded. It's so easy for me to get my wrestling "fix" twice a day going to and coming home from work. Also being able to read boards on my phone at the same time, WON updates, etc.

I think you nailed it Jerry. Honourable mention to the late, great Paul Bearers double chin.

To his comcast Email address I imagine.

I've been looking out for this since it aired and I've finally stumbled across it: Madusa, Bobby Heenan, Roddy Piper and Sting on Bill Maher's Politially Incorrect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SFrlIVJdBg -
To be fair Shawn did used to walk around wearing this. I saw it in an Apter mag at the time and my 15 year old mind was blown!

Shows Rude worked her good and proper then.

Well, some of his movies were but that's a different story (For the record objectively there is some absolute trash there but how can you not get a kick out of them as a wrestling fan? Similar to how I put No Holds Barred up there with Raging Bull).
-
I've spoken with many people who think this; it's subjective after all. It's not like they are claiming he was a bigger star as that would be totally asinine.
-
Good shout. I completely forgot they did away with it completely for a while.

Ah I see. That article was only put out a couple of months ago, how strange. When I referred to Rock posting on Twitter, it was at the actual time. Makes you wonder why they wouldn't go with such an article when he was rebranded in an effort to put some shine on him.
-
He was pretty upset that WWE.com gave some coverage to Axel but ignored him being there as well. I know Rock was sharing photos on Twitter, I don't recall WWE even mentioning anything.

Getting Street Fighter 4 on PS3 was one of my fondest gaming memories of the past decade. For a few months I was 10 again. -
It's universally accepted that the IC title is not what it once was and the reasons are clear as to why. But when did it fall off a cliff for you? I was having a debate with a friend recently and he suggested as early as 1999 citing the Godfather as champion. I disagreed calling that reign a blip on the radar - not dissimilar to other blips on the radar at times when fans generally considered "Golden Ages" of the belt (Mountie in 1992 and Dean Douglas in 1995 for transition purposes). 1999 to me was good for the IC title when D Lo Brown and Jeff Jarrett were having spirited scraps for the belt and it felt like it meant something, and that both men could climb the roster. You had Chyna on the scene shortly after which was a joke, but then we got into Jericho, Benoit and Angle territory which was an enthusiastic period. For me it was post 2001 when there was an ungodly amount of titles on the roster. You'd have great periods (Guerrero coming back going against an over RVD) one minute and then filler trash the next, with the latter eventually winning out.

These are my sentiments. The drama should be building up to executing the finisher, knowing that if somebody hits it it's over. Is there any finisher going today where somebody hasn't kicked out of it / tapped out? I can't think of a single one.

The Jim Cornette Experience

For the Adrain Street fans, try and obtain a documentary Jeremy Deller made about him. I watched it at his exhibition back in 2012: -
Was going to post something similar; he had some fun heel nuances. Haven't seen the footage in many, many years. I'll have to keep an eye out.

Where can I find reliable information about Randy Savage?
Sidebottom replied to Martyn's topic in Pro Wrestling
Here's a Randy Savage interview... -
The episode would have been great... had it not been for the fact I watched Rise and Fall ten years ago... Another lacklustre episode there for sure. Again, it would have been refreshing to get some honest accounts which haven't been tapped to death. For instance, cover Shane Douglas coming in as Dean Douglas and honestly acknowledge why it didn't work on screen and off. The fact that Douglas was saddled with such a mid 90's WWE gimmick would have fit the tone of the show perfectly. Or how about covering the Public Enemies cup of coffee with the WWE and how that could have effected the Dudley's upon debut? Justin Credible was interviewed but no mention of Aldo Mantoya? Again, everything there would have fit the tone of the show and would've been fresh... Hell, cover the entire Jerry Lawler / Tommy Dreamer feud and all the cameo's it brought. Something. Anything...

Ken Patera won medals at the Pan American Games, his name belongs in the discussion of strongest wrestlers for sure.

Great match line up, I'll be purchasing this for sure. Hopefully there are some interesting interview contributions for the documentary. -
You've missed the point.

PAUL PAUL I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS Who the hell was supposed to be responsible for that? Or was it just a way to get rid of that segment in the craziest way possible? 2008 WWE was fucking weird, man. 2008 was a fantastic year for WWE I thought. The roster was stacked with Cena, Undertaker, Edge, Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Shawn Michaels, HHH, Orton, Ric Flair, Batista, Umaga, CM Punk and JBL on a full time basis.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Sidebottom replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Another WWE cast of is the last thing they need right now if you ask me.
