  1. Thanks guys, I'll have to check this out
  2. Has Jim Herd made any public appearances, done interviews, etc. since leaving wrestling? I can't recall, it's like he fell off the face of the Earth after WCW. Just curious since he's a pretty important part of history. Apparently, he's still alive at age 76.
  3. The answer is Rey. A lot of those guys were good to great, but Rey was a can't miss once in a lifetime star. Rey got over huge in 1999 when they actually did give him a main event rub, then of course they cut his balls off. Rey also had the merchandising potential that none of the other guys had. I think most of the other guys peaked in that particular company's setting. maybe they could have got more from Eddy but his personal issues would have prevented a serious run.
  4. LOL Austin Mania rumurz
  5. Paige was awful tonight. Audibly called spots at least twice. Was smiling when she was selling. Was fixing her hair when she was supposed to be knocked out. What the hell happened to her?
  6. Titus felt like a star in that match
  7. I need to watch Cena vs Owens again. I got the feeling first time watching it that there was no sense of struggle on Owens's part. Now I'm not sure if that was deliberate, but I didn't get the feeling that he was fighting for his life against the biggest star in wrestling.
  8. A lot of guys looked nervous in the Chamber tag. Way too many bodies and very high chance of injury. If I was a talent I would hate working in one of those. Case in point, look at those bumps Ryback and Sheamus were trading. Those things must have absolutely killed. Yet they kind of look like shit on tv because you can't go full force bumping on a steel fucking grate. So you're taking half ass bumps yet they're ten times more painful.
  9. He's been doing that multiple times a match for a while now. It's annoying. And yeah, not really buying this finish....
  10. Good for Ryback. Guys been having a pretty good year under the radar.
  11. I enjoyed it a lot even though I felt they had no chemistry in NXT. Bo didn't embarass himself anywhere and the match was laid out perfectly as a Neville showcase. Bo actually brought some unique offense too. Perfectly fine wrestling. And holy shit, Mark Henry!
  12. I think that finish was an audible. Two nasty head drops on Paige minutes apart. That was ugly.
  13. Layout for the Chamber was fine but it was executed poorly, lots of nerves. Making Ascension the generals instead of Cesaro/Kidd was dumb. Ascension were horrible here.
  14. I think Quake would have been an awesome nostalgia entrant into the 2002 Rumble a la Mr. Perfect and Goldust. Has anyone seen his dark match from around that time? It saw it on YouTube a while back, not sure if it's still there.
  15. Having a "good" career is not a Hall of Fame metric. If you want to make a case for Kane, how about back it up with some evidence? Pull some numbers. Attendance figures, PPV buys, etc. Just saying he's been around forever doesn't really add anything.
  16. WCW vs NWO in general didn't produce many good matches. I remember liking both of the War Games well enough but can't remember much else standing out besides the odd tag here and there.
  17. I do that all the time. They're both Hard black guys, lol. And could Big Show count as a Paul Bearer guy? Wasn't Paul Bearer managing him and Taker as a team in 1999?
  18. Even though it would make no sense, I would love an "I need to talk to Dolph" style swerve/beat down on Ziggler.
  19. Is there any chance that Harper and Rowan jump The Matadores or Dragons and take their spot in the chamber? They seem like a perfect fit for that match.
  20. He had at least one, I think it was two, really good hardcore matches with Drew McIntyre that seem to have been completely forgotten since that was during the "LOL Fatt Hardy" period where he was posting a lot of dumb shit online. His last televised match with Del Rio was good too. Hardy is pretty much the epitome of a "good" wrestler.
  21. Are you really asking this? Come on now! The answer is EVERYTHING! People on the bottom of the card don't get the same chances to showcase their skills. You know that. There's a tendency around here to make the false argument that the way a wrestler is booked doesn't matter, when the reality of it is, it absolutely matters and has a major effect on every aspect of someone's career and ring-work. Card placement doesn't really matter. It means that the person higher up on the card will probably get more air time and more chances at longer matches. However, that in no way means that someone like Matt Hardy isn't better in his role of ten-15 minute matches compared to Jericho's 15-20 minute matches. Also, in this case arguing that Jericho is better because he was more over doesn't really hold water. We're not talking about drawing power, we're talking about their skill in the ring as workers. In that regard I think Hardy is definitely better, and the longer they both wrestler the wider the gap becomes. Agreeing with Bill here, but I wanted to add something. The main event usually isn't the longest or best match on the card. And that goes for all promotions. You get plenty of opportunities to have good matches in the midcard. And long matches. I understand how card placement can sway opinion, but using it as an argument ender, well...
  22. Are you really asking this? Come on now! The answer is EVERYTHING! People on the bottom of the card don't get the same chances to showcase their skills. You know that. Sorry but I don't agree with this it all. Subscribing to this logic closes the door on any type of scrutiny or debate. If you weigh card position that heavily, then Sid is better than Arn Anderson. Goldberg is better than William Regal. HHH is the greatest of all time. And so on.
  23. "Didn't know how to use Microsoft Outlook" Needs to be the epitaph on their tombstone. So so so so good.
  24. Everyone needs to hear the end of this show, absolutely epic.
  25. Great topic, and I'll admit I knew what exactly what you guys were talking about all the way through! Wasn't there supposed to be a Bastion Booger figure in that unreleased Hasbro series? On the Earthquake/Bigelow body?
