  2. This makes me sad - I am sure Grimmas, Kaufman316 and yourself could go and meet up at a SMASH show? I am probably going to be in Toronto for work purposes once a year and if timed correctly would love to go see a SMASH show with some of you guys.

IF they keep him then they better finally wise up and start using him to elevate guys. I've been saying all along that he should be defending against more than just Cena because even guys losing to Brock will look strong if it's a competitive match. Rollins at the Rumble is proof positive. He looks like a million bucks after that match. Hopefully that's the start of a trend. If WM is indeed Brock's last match then his whole run will feel like a huge wasted opportunity. The problem with Brock is he never defended the Title. Wins at Summerslam defends at NOC and then you dont see another title defense till January. Surely they could have come up with a better option than this. Is he going to be booked for the Feb PPV? Cena has lost quite a bit recently so im expecting Cena to go over at Mania as he cant beat Takers streak now so Rusev will have to do. Its still odd why they dont just save the match for Mania to make it feel something special ie matches that havent happened before. The thing is when Cena loses he doesn't seem to care about it and moves on, teaching the fan's that wins and losses don't matter that much.
  4. Interested in your music project podcast Parv, will keep an eye out for it.
  5. Dave owns a physical copy of the footage, he reconfirmed this on twitter earlier.
  6. Without giving specifics due to the size of the country/area I'd assume the British guys in the 70s/80s had an easy loop so to speak. Love to see what the Stampede loop consisted of.
  7. I've just realised each instalment isn't just one page!
  8. Really enjoyed the Jan Match Book - Video Preview #1 - great work!

A blue dot to the face would fix that.
  10. In 1993, that would have been fantastic. But 7 shows in 8 days, as well as dinners, lunches and Q and As, sounds like overexposure. I went to Pigeon Forge, TN last year whilst on Vacation in the US. What a wonderfully bizarre place. Some call it Redneck Vegas.
  11. A great fun show. Glad I made the decision to get up at 7am to watch this before work.
  12. I always thought it was when he replaced Ray Morgan which would of been after 8/23/70 as that was Morgan's last day in the promotion.
  13. Umaga would of been so great in 80s WWF.
  14. Jimmy had such a random career, worked Florida in the dying days, had tours in FMW, had a good little run in WWF and worked WCW inc. WW3 1996 A great worker who stood out as someone not as aesthetically pleasing on the eye as other contemporaries.
  15. I can also attest to this as I spent the evening previous to this hanging out with London and he is just one of the nicest blokes ever.
  16. Memphis Mark would beg to differ about Brian Christopher.
  17. So before this thread is locked, is that it? Rovert is gone, end of discussion? If so, I begrudgingly accept the decision of the mods.
  18. Can you answer why you hounded him on DVDVR as you've yet to comment on this. Also why should this of been done a while ago? Obviously you've got your reasons, I'd just like you to make them public for clarities sake.
  19. I think I just gave some reasoning there, but like I said, this isn't really worth the time. The guy isn't worth the time. He was given rules. He was given warnings. He was given chances. He refused to follow the spirit of it. I thought that Charles' decision was both warranted as part of a greater whole and probably something that should have been done a while ago. I'm moving on. I've got a lot of Giant Baba to watch apparently. He obviously has been worth the time for you previously though, hence the comment I made about you hounding him over at DVDVR. The "Look-At-Me-And-What-I-Know bs" hasn't ever come across to me in that way. Rovert has stated that he has some friends in the business, and he will clarify or correct people on inaccurate information posted on boards/twitter based on what he has been told by sources. Rovert has a proven track record as he was the first to break the Chikara shutdown and the Elgin/ROH situation for example. Why should this of been done a while ago? Has he derailed threats to the extent of JVK vs. JDW? Not for me. I don't think we are better off without him overall, but that's just my take on things.
  20. Matt, It's come across to me from time to time you have a personal issue with Rovert. You hounded him over at DVDVR in the past. What's the beef? You took issue to Rovert saying that Devitt was respected in the industry from memory.
  21. What value? NXT information primarily but overall he's a wealth of knowledge who sees things in a logical manner.
  22. I saw it as a joke, which I have publicly stated to you Charles. I don't agree with your decision, but you have your reasons and I have to accept them. I would however like you to potentially reconsider down the road as Rovert ultimately adds value to this board.
  23. I got a big batch of stuff from your source the other day and will be in British wrestling heaven once I get through all this 2000s puro. But you really have done a great service laying the groundwork with your reviews. John Lister is another good resource for information.
  24. Tom Magee for his look, he looked a million dollars. For people who had talent though, but didn't fully achieve I'd go with Pillman.
