  1. In some guys it massively enhanced their character - Sandman, Balls Mahoney, The Gangstas etc and I think when the music is taken away, some of what made them click with the audience is lost.
  2. I voted Arn. More consistency and longevity. I'm another who never really got Tully as a "super worker".
  3. Current rotation: Wrestling: Any Melty show Where The Big Boys Play Shake Them Ropes VOW Goodwill Wrestling When I like the guests: Anything that Joe Gagne recommends Non Wrestling: After Dark Simon Mayo's Confessions No Such Thing As A Fish
  4. Underwhelmed by the 'Mania direction

  5. Dave mentioned on today's audio that he know's someone who knows Vladimir Putin. He then goes on to say this person says Putin is extremely intelligent but evil. Rather random.

Might be a coincidence - but this happens the day after Frank Mir calls out Brock at the UFC Brazil show.

They might (and rightly so) have the attitude of "well, if you can't up with anything better then shut up and do the damn angle", but then again, they might not. As it is WWE and they love contradictions/mixed messages/total headfuck decisions that don't show rhyme or reason on occasion.
  8. He might of learnt something from what Punk said to him and Vince, you never know.
  9. How do you know they don't have a long term plan for Triple H? Come on, if Reigns beats Brock for the title (which is the expected outcome) then who's Reigns going to feud with past Rollins and Rusev? I wouldn't be surprised if we see Triple H work a program with Reigns. Popping the crowd is great and all, but the wheels do keep turning post 'Mania, I don't think for one second that WWE aren't scared shitless in a drop in subscribers and will try to avoid that if at all possible and have plans for the rest of 2015. We are conditioned to think wins and loses don't matter, and that's evident in your post, because people should care if Triple H loses.

The thing is, unlike others, Brock can stand up because he has leverage. Do you think Wade Barrett is going to to Vince "nah mate, I'm not jobbing to R-Truth, as I could leave tomorrow and headline PCW"?
  11. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hunter winning given the WWE vs. WCW narrative being spun. Plus, what is Sting's future? All evidence suggests that at age 56, that this is likely his final match and that WWE have no real plans for him afterwards other than a Hall Of Fame induction next year. Agree with Keith here. Why put Sting over unless they've got some long term plans for him?
  12. Will look forward to reading it, as I'd love to explore his weird fucked up relationship with Vince. Also his Mid-South and Jim Herd stories will be a hoot.
  13. Really summed up my current thoughts on ROH in that post Dylan. I agree with your thoughts about Hanson, I am happy that he's being pushed, he's got a good upside. (Ditto for Moose (MOOSE!). Warming up on the product as a whole after being put off greatly during the Richards era. I think that the TV this last few weeks has been really fun, I am very much looking forward to the PPV next month.
  14. I'd be happy for Bryan to simply work NXT at this point. Really.
  15. Russo blocked me on twitter suggesting he's been talking to Konnan who's been talking to LU on his behalf to come in and write for them.
  16. I voted for Mizdow, as it's provided me with a few laugh out loud moments, which means I must of been entertained.
  17. I wonder if we get a sturdier Andre The Giant trophy this year.
  18. Just spotted this. Really great topic for a show. Excited to listen.
  19. "I don't recall the details" Pretty much this.
  20. Those Big Sky squashes were a hoot.
  21. Those damn shambles. If he didn't do them I could still be watching WCW Worldwide from Disney/MGM.

Austin has always been worried about how he'd be perceived by people, peers and fans alike. He's stated that if he came back, he'd have to perform to the same standard he did before he retired.

I don't think the in-ring has been the issue though, overall. It's been more the general direction of the product.
