  1. Not that I'm defending Warrior, but weren't those comments made 10+ years ago? Who's to say he hadn't changed since then? Many of the people who were homophobic or at least ignorant back then aren't now. There has been a lot of education about gay rights in the past decade. Even Obama wasn't pro-gay marriage when he was running for Presidency.

LOL. For the hell of it, here's another one... Nattie (in front of pink screen): You know, maybe it's wrong of me, but I feel threatened by TJ's friendship with Cesaro. Flashbacks of TJ and Cesaro acting like two puppy dogs in love. Nattie's Mom [at the house with cats nipping at her sandals]: When I was your age, dear, I felt the same way about your dad's friendship with Uncle Bret. Nattie: I know, Mommy, but that was Uncle Bret and Daddy. This is different. This thing with TJ and Cesaro, I don't know, it's... Nattie's Mom: (Puts her arms around Nattie) You have to let TJ have his own friends and his own life. He's been through so much this year already. Nattie (in front of pink screen): I've decided that if TJ can have a best friend, so can I! Flashback footage of Nattie sharing coffee and giggling with the newest Total Divas cast member Renee Young. Nattie (in front of pink screen): I'm really nervous aboot asking Renee Young to be my new BFF. She seems so with it, so together. What if she says no?
  3. I think it's a combination of Sasha, etc. not knowing the history and 90% of past wrestlers being immoral pieces of shit anyway, so they're respected for their accomplishments and everything else is overlooked. The McMahons probably respected Moolah for being "tough" and "a good businesswoman." Plus, around them, I'm sure she was respectful and laid on the "Southern Charm." Also, childhood nostalgia is a powerful thing. To use a recent example, Zack Ryder seems to idolize Razor Ramon, even though Scott Hall - by all accounts - was far from perfect.
  4. Technically, NXT is a different company, but yeah... Bet most people thought it was a Funk/Ambrose reference instead of a movie reference.
  5. I got the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reference right away, but it was still kinda lame IMO.
  6. Two totally straight dudes.

I can see the storyline now... Maryse: My husband doesn't have the biggest tool in the shed, but he satisfies me. I don't know though, should I see what else is out there? Nikki: Girl, if you're not sure about your man, you should totally, you know, explore your options. Just don't ever tell Mike [Miz] about it. [ignoring that they're filming this for the whole world.] Cue a wacky misadventure involving den mother Nattie trying to help Maryse find a male prostitute. Nattie: [in front of a pink background] If Maryse is not happy in the bedroom, she won't be happy in the ring. That could put me and the other girls in danger. I have to protect myself out there, and helping Maryse with her love life is the only way I can do that.

Nothing wrong with vodka, but did he have to write a chapter after every shot?

His "appreciation of vodka" made him come across as an immature drunken asshole in his third book, which was almost unbearable to read as a result. Sucks, because I adore his first book and didn't mind his second either.

Bet you it's Seth Rollins. I think that would qualify as "someone nuts."

WTF was the point of that?! Miz hardly needs yet another I-C Title reign (and I like Miz). Poor Zack.

Sickens me how quickly Breeze has been turned into nothing.

Sucks that Breeze is his sacrificial lamb though. What a waste.

How the hell did Apollo Crews get a call-up when he hasn't done jack shit in NXT?!?!

Is this Barrett's swan song? I know he didn't renew his contract, but I'm not sure when it expires.
  18. Some more that I don't think have been mentioned yet: The Sheepherders The Bushwhackers The Hart Foundation Vicious and Delicious (Buff Bagwell and Scott "Flash" Norton - shit team, but good name) I think it's a cool as hell name, and a perfect mirror to their all-time archrivals, the Midnight Express. Could be a cultural translation thing - I have no idea - but far be it for me to tell you that your opinion is "wrong" somehow, when you're perfectly entitled to disagree and feel the way you do.
  19. The Blackjacks The Rock 'n Roll Express (surprised this hasn't been mentioned) The Public Enemy
  20. He's not wrong, folks. I was honestly wondering the same thing about the Nakamura character myself. Hence why I made the comment about Vince and Dunn seeing the act and turning him into someone who wears pink tights and shoots hearts out of a glitter gun. Nakamura has very weird, effeminate movements and mannerisms. If noticing the obvious makes us homophobic, *shrug*. I don't think so though. This is pro wrestling, where they trot out acts such as Goldust, Adorable Adrian Adonis, and Johnny B. Badd - all of whom were far more subtle in their "flamboyance" than Nakamura. Based on the "grammar" of pro wrestling, it's a very reasonable question to ask. No one is saying these characters represent homosexuality and homosexuals in the real world - of course not - but you could definitely make a case for wondering if Nakamura represents what it historically has been in wrestling, for better or worse (always worse, of course).
  21. It came across to me as a weird speech at first, but only because it was delivered by an actual human being and someone wholly outside the wrestling bubble. You could tell she was more bemused by her dad's crazy career than anything else. There was a bit of affection for wrestling but none of the reverence you got from the rest of the speeches (even Dana Warrior is "all in" now), and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
  22. He tried, but see, on Total Divas, Nikki whined to Cena for being a hardass rehab trainer and *gasp* - are you sitting down for this? - not letting her drink wine.
  23. Steph being spared was a - wait for it - WrestleMania Moment!
  24. Maybe it's because I'm exhausted, but this made me laugh hysterically.
  25. I have no idea what's happened in this match at all. Too damn tired.
