  1. Holy crap! Had no idea about any of this. I’d hope WWE culture wouldn’t be that backward, but…ya know. BUT… Wasn’t he still in NXT last June? Even if he had already been called up by then, he was on TV until much later in the year, so I’m not quite understanding how you’re connecting the two. Still, the actor Terry Crews got ridiculed by other celebs (I think certain shitty rappers or hip hop musicians) after coming out about his own assault, so that kind of toxic masculinity is still all over the place.
  2. Breaking his what? I am not trying to be obtuse, but I genuinely cannot figure out what you mean. In addition to the sexual assault allegations, Riddle was accused of physically abusing - choking - Candy Cartwright. Getting choked is obviously never good, but it's a million times worse when it's done by a trained professional fighter who knows exactly what to do to injure and incapacitate someone. She also sued WWE, EVOLVE, and Gabe Sapolosky, but those suits were dismissed. However, the suit against Riddle was allowed to go forward. I think that's where we are now.
  3. Considering that he was implicated very badly in the #speakingout scandal, he should thank his lucky stars he's being used at all. So far, they've used him far better than I expected - certainly 1000x better than Keith Lee at least - but I can understand why they're not going all the way with him yet. If things don't go his way legally or more allegations come out, WWE could cut bait with him tomorrow and people would barely notice. But this is the same company still holding onto a major liability like Dream, so who knows what the fuck they're thinking. Didn't she have an association with Rock and his Seven Bucks Production at one point? Stupidity like this probably jeopardized that. What an idiot.

LOL. I didn't participate in the GWE in 2016 and won't be participating in 2026. It's an awesome idea, and I love reading all the threads as a lurker and spectator, but it sounds like way too much work for me to actually participate in. Didn't things apparently get toxic toward the end too and end up driving great members away from PWO? (I could be wrong about that part.) If we ever do GCE (Greatest Commentator Ever), sign me up for that - Mamma Mia! (Seriously though, even that would be tough with all the regional commentators most people weren't exposed to that have been lost to time forever.)
  5. Hart contradicts this in the book by saying he wanted Muta to eventually turn babyface.
  6. Well, I'm pretty sure the allegations broke out right before that weird parking lot match with Adam Cole for the title.
  7. Already taken down? @BadCOVIDTakes Account suspended Twitter suspends accounts which violate the Twitter Rules
  8. I finished the Gary Hart book. It definitely lived up to the hype as one of the best wrestling books ever. He buried the shit out of Sting, as mentioned above, and also Dave Meltzer. I think he made some good points about Meltzer's reporting style though. Definitely worth seeking out. Other wrestling books in my queue: - The Eighth Wonder of the World (Bertrand Hebert/Pat Laprade book about Andre) - Rowdy (the Piper bio written by his kids) - Memoirs of a Mad Man (Mad Man Pondo book with the greatest cover ever) - Wrestling with Pixels (which is still available at storybundle.com/games for a limited time in the $5 tier in a variety of DRM-free file formats, including Kindle) - Young Bucks: Killing the Business from Backyards to the Big Leagues - Wrestling with the Truth (Bruno Lauer/Downtown Bruno/Harvey Wippleman book) Any recommendations on which one(s) I should tackle next?
  9. In Gary Hart's book, he said Low Ki and Homicide were credible but short, lol.
  10. Even Joey Janela is speaking out now. Not sure what's "funny" about any of this though. Tucker too. At this point, I feel almost sad for Drake Wuertz. He is obviously a severely, profoundly mentally ill man. Combine that with drug and possible CTE issues, and it's a recipe for disaster.
  11. Since this seems to have become somewhat of a catch-all thread for arrogant clueless assholes, let's welcome DA BIG GUY to the stage!
  12. I'm no Charlotte or WWE stan, but Dave is the reporter and should be the one making those phone calls - Charlotte is under no obligation to do so, their personal relatioship aside.
  13. WWE stans and proxy shills like Satin and Rosenberg are one thing, but Charlotte herself responded to Dave, and she wasn't happy... Update: Andrade too (but already deleted).
  14. Sounds amazing! Without a doubt THEE highlight of Striker's career, and let's face it, the highlight of every TNA wrestler who will find themselves in the same building with a living legend like Mauro.
  15. I hope there are washers and dryers on site then.
  16. No, no, @The Thread Killer, you shouldn't feel stupid at all. Your message doesn't sound at all like "a cry for attention" or "looking for sympathy," so don't worry about anything like that. Your health has to come first, and I hope you reach a point in the very near future where life is no longer kicking your ass. Sending prayers and good wishes your way. As for the computer, even if the motherboard died, there may still be a way to extract the hard drive and either put it into another computer or turn it into an external drive - so you may not have actually lost anything - but all of that will require someone slightly more tech-savvy than me to walk you through. It should be possible though.
  17. Did Hugo actually break anything about Saudi though? All I remember him doing is regurgitating everything we had already read online in the few days after it happened. I could be wrong, and I'll stand corrected if I am, but he seems like another guy spouting secondhand hearsay to me.
  18. As easy as it is to pile on WWE, Hugo Savinovich isn't there, hasn't been there in years, and doesn't know shit.
  19. Done! Battle of the Tough Guys: No Holds Barred II - Austin Aries vs. Low-Ki
  20. Forget about Rip and Zeus, BRRRRROTHER - Austin Aries vs. Low-Ki is the real Battle of the Tough Guys, and their presence guarantees plenty of DOOKIE! Who is the better/worse worker, tough guy, draw, etc.? Basically any metric you can think of is up for discussion here. Austin Aries is an arrogant asshole has its own thread, so keep those comments there. This is more about the rasslin'.
  21. I could see him doing something like listing a bunch of house show matches with, say, Rey Mysterio, and then using that to discuss Rey as a wrestler, throw in some personal, stories, etc. But who knows. Wish this wasn't only available on a specialty site.
  22. Didn't the book's publication pre-date most of that though? So, I remember it all being really fresh and interesting at the time. Glad I didn't pay full price for this. I'll wait until it's a couple of bucks on KIndle, just to have it for the sake of completion. Drew McIntyre and Jericho both have new books coming out. The Jericho book is seemingly only available from a specialty website for a jacked-up price, but the concept is cool - it's basically a diary of every match he's ever wrestled in (up to a certain point, I would imagine). https://thescribestore.com/products/the-complete-list-of-jericho-by-chris-jericho
  23. This is basically a WWE Network/Peacock doc, except on A&E instead. I thought it was fun too, but the whole thing was faker than pro wrestling. Like I really believe Triple H was just waiting around the WWE Warehouse for Mick's call...lole. But I enjoyed it anyway.
  24. Particularly Jerry Jarrett - HOLYYYYYY SHIT! Speaking of which, is Jerry Jarrett okay? He used to have a podcast with @Sean Liska@Sean Reedy (not sure which of these names is current, if either) and was active on Twitter, but the podcast hasn't been updated since 2019 (at least on iTunes) and I haven't seen him on Twitter in a while.
