  1. Cody as a mock-up The Miz in a 2017 RoH main event scene is sure something to behold.
  2. Seems they're just changing the logo Here's the world title (apparently) https://pp.userapi.com/c621702/v621702787/2955d/iom-k4Fm1Jw.jpg And here's the knockout's https://www.instagram.com/p/BaRvWN5AiwE/ The X-Division one seems the best of the bunch.

    Quite literally
  4. If it's limited to all-time great matches then it's probably Funk/Jumbo in 1976. If it's more broad, then definitely O'Conner/Rogers from Comiskey Park in 1961 - it's a legitimate great match and historic moment.
  5. Roy Lucier's Youtube channel has a few https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCniRPlJVbD4-7CY7o_Uo9Q/videos
  6. It'd be comedic if they misread the crowd enough to think creating rumours of Enzo being in the doghouse (and subsequent depush to king of loserville) would rally fan support behind him and that's the whole weird reason behind this.
  7. Ambrose and Cesaro had a Trick or Streetfight a couple years back on Smackdown. It was pretty good and had the usual comedy props to boot.

What do people dislike about the JBL push in 2004? It had good promos and matches.
  9. I know it's just the last few minutes, but those are some rather dull and uninspiring performances for a finishing run. Odd upload.

    FloSlam

PWTorch is reporting that FloSlam are suing WWN/Gabe - apparently claiming that WWN lied over viewership numbers and Gabe was sharing data with WWE.

  12. For a self-professing artist, Jeff's only really good at paint-by-numbers wrestling. If he's plugged into things he can deliver his end of the deal. Those 2001 TLC tags probably still hold up as fun popcorn matches because of a few spots, but I don't think they're fundamentally good. I'm not too high on the Hardy/Young Bucks match that got a lot of praise a few years back, for instance, but Jeff is a by-part to a few great matches - even if he's probably not the leading cause for them being great. There's also the Undertaker/Jeff ladder match that people still hold in high praise - and is probably the best match I've seen between two guys I don't think a thing of. I don't find it earth-shattering, but it blew away my expectations. Jeff did what was expected of him. There's the CM Punk feud (which I don't recall enough to give my opinion) and that's it to his positive output, really.
  13. Co-sign the Super Astro mention. It's not a "dislike", for me, but it's more the fact that I don't get the hype behind him.
  14. Outside of clips, how much lucha exists? None?
  15. PWG in a different building just wouldn't feel like PWG. Their armory is part of the charm. Also I'm not sure I've ever seen people chalk up PWG drawing 400 people as impressive. It's never been the number of people, but the people it draws.
  16. So we're all gonna be heading back to the TNA thread, then?
  17. It's all relative. Lucha Libre is clearly an attraction in Mexico, but it's a niche facet within a semi-niche sport. When Mayweather/McGregor are running an expensive PPV, to a worldwide audience, it's to little wonder that they drew so much more (Triplemania grossed a ~$500k gate). Yes, money-to-money, I agree that a wrestling show will most likely never draw those figures but, within equal parameters/fields, Wagner did pretty damn well for himself. I'd wager even better if it was Parka/Wagner instead of Psycho, too.
  18. Promoting wrestling or any fighting sport on the promise of great matches and no storylines has never really drawn big mainstream interest. We know what does draw, and we saw that with Floyd/Conor, which did more than any wrestling show will in the next 10 years. Everyone knew that was going to suck too. Well...

This is probably stretching one of Cena's lines to the fullest, but John mentioned that he let Roman run his mouth until the perfect opportunity to "cut him down" arose. It did seem as if Cena was holding back and allowing Roman to get ahead of himself. Cena letting Roman succumb to his own hubris would make some sense in isolation but it's in stark contrast to the Cena personality we've become use to.

It makes you wonder when "get over!" became "get over it!"
  21. I had thought Cubsfan alluded to it all being a work as the promos cut by Morrison predate the actual Vampiro/Taya issue. Regardless, Sexy Star is Sexy Star and she seemed to not take kindly to a move by Shani early on and then the spear by Rosemary at the end.
  22. Every source seemed to think the Taya/Vampiro angle was real, too. I don't know what to believe, anymore, with AAA. All I know is that my takeaway, with regard to either outcome, is "Vampiro sucks".
  23. Brutal.
  24. El Mariachi being Solar, correct? Holy shit
