  1. I would like to add something to the discussion, but it's a struggle given how well this match has been covered. Satanico and Dandy are both so damn versatile and seemingly the most fluid wrestlers to ever live. All while making their shit look brutal. Amazing stuff.
  2. Bobby Eaton is absolutely amazing. Easily the best Steiners match I've ever seen and it's not because of the Steiners or Stan Lane.
  3. Loved this match! Takada seems motivated throughout, which is truly his major weakness in most matches. Might have been Fujiwara keeping him off-balance that kept Taada so involved this time around.
  4. Really good match for a lot of the reasons mentioned above. Funaki is really impressive at this stage and I look forward to seeing more of him.
  5. Good enough promo for a promotion like UWF. Wondering why WCW couldn't find something for Orndorff to do though.
  6. Definitely a fun segment, Lou and Andre were both having a great time with it.
  7. Jake is so damn incredible. Even as a sympathetic babyface he never loses the edges of his character.
  8. Loved this. Bill Dundee the father is actually a little more entertaining than your average Dundee promo.
  9. Dave really hasn't had the kind of material to react to that the King gave him. Nice to see that they are giving Dave a little love with things like this.
  10. Eddies's return to Memphis is easily one of the highlights of the year. When a talent like that can't make it in your promotion (*cough*WCW*cough*) maybe you need to take a step back and look at what you are doing.
  11. Undertaker looks really good and Lawler is the champ again! Seems like all is right in the world to me.
  12. Bossman cuts an incredible emotional promo. Something tells me Traylor has all kinds of missed potential when he was in the Big 2. 1990 was a really good year for him and he seems just now like he's overcoming the limitations of his gimmick. I'm sure the Big Bubba gimmick will give him more room to explore what he can do...
  13. I like the randomness of this match. The work was good and the pairings somehow came off better than you would think. I've been a Kabuki fan for a while, so it was nice to see him make an appearance.
  14. Warrior forcing Brother Love to put on the dress seemed a lot like a heelish act. That's not the kind of shit your top babyface should be doing. It's the heels who are bullies when things don't go their way, or maybe it's opposite in Vince world.
  15. Roddy shitting all over Warrior is such a great thing to hear.
  16. Idol and Gilbert kill it here. It's nice to see some villains back in Memphis who the fans don't want to love so much they will never boo. Especially when they are as great in a studio setting as Idol and Gilbert are.
  17. If I liked WWF style nonsense, this would have come off a lot better for me. As it is, just some funny stuff featuring a bunch of cartoonish versions of wrestlers I like far more in other settings.
  18. I'm with Drew on Sherri after Piper's slap. Macho should have joined in as well. Good stuff from Sherri and Savage during the promo (surprising, I know) and Warrior...well, we're stuck with him for a while.
  19. Tenryu in a spotfest?? Odd for sure, but definitely very good. Tenryu brings enough gravity that it makes this match into something more than what it would have been.
  20. Dusty was tremendous here as the sympathetic father trying to protect his son. Most of this WWF footage is new to me and Ted is really impressive as a heel.
  21. Better than the Warrior in promos or regular matches, so it has that going for it. Not to say that means a whole lot....
  22. Best comeback ever? I'm still going with the HUGE comeback against Bock or the LLT match (the one after the one-eyed Lawler) with Dundee. Even so, this one was very close to that level. Idol did his part with the double cross that I don't think anyone was surprised by. But this was 90% Lawler being incredible.
  23. I watched this months ago and still remember it. Funk is completely and totally insane, what a great great performance. That Lawler's sympathetic babyface performance here is overshadowed says a lot. It's one of Lawler's two biggest strengths and Funk can just overwhelm it like it's nothing.
