  1. I thought the post-match did more than the match. Too much Percy during the match for me.
  2. I like how Aja was so good at making herself such a juggernaut that it's BIG when the faces start to put her down late.
  3. I wanted a little more out of this. Like more extended fiery Hamada comebacks. But I got what was there and it was pretty good. Aguayo has great offense and I could watch him all day.
  4. Was not a Kendo fan myself. I saw little charm in most of what he did. But he could take a drop toe hold and make it look OUCH! Perfectly good trios match but nothing special.
  5. Wow, what a match! I always love when Hansen plays Ricky Morton. I say it that way for a reason. Both are effective at gaining sympathy from a crowd because they never stop trying something. Of course not a lot of it works once you're really taking the brunt of this kind of assault. But the key for me is the continued efforts to attempt a comeback despite little to no good results thus far. I liked how Hansen cut off the usual MVC borefest early, taking Williams out of the armlock and to the outside. Williams adjusts pretty quickly and really comes after Hansen with a vengeance. You wouldn't know from the crowd or the match that Williams is such a big underdog coming in. That's how much of a genius Stan Hansen is. Another awesome Hansen bit, using the supporter adjust to maybe signal a desperation lariat a few times before whiffing the one that sent him outside. My recollection is these guys have a series of matches that build on one the previous at some point in the early 90s that I really liked. I'm almost sure this was a part of it.
  6. Tatum continues to impress. He's out to kidnap Tessa because she's too stuck on Dundee. Lawler thinks she should go with Tatum because he's a "real man."
  7. Great, great mat-based war. I loved the intensity and struggle. Easily a top 3 match on the set for the first five plus months.
  8. I liked this one a lot. I can't imagine you'd get a wrestler to be any more honest about wrestling who came up during the kayfabe days and was still involved. Still some strangeness, but it's wrestling. I can't imagine anything documenting pro wrestling would come off without being more than a little strange.
  9. Good slugfest between two heavy hitters. There is more to this matchup, can't wait for that.
  10. So Tony Atlas is going down to Memphis to follow up after the Snowman angle finishes right? I mean, who wouldn't want to see this guy go up against Lawler? The microphone battles would be incredible and Lawler could carry him to good matches in MSC.
  11. Flair with the kind of promo that makes you wish he would just talk about women and jets and titles. How did a rinky dink promotion in Memphis do a racial angle 100 times better than WCW?
  12. Trying to figure out what exactly is going on in WCW at this point. I finally get it. Ole is absolutely clueless how to book what he has here.
  13. Couldn't they have put this on the PPV somewhere? Or would that have taken valuable Robocop time?
  14. Great studio brawl. Looked almost legit, should be a ton of fun watching Lawler and the Snowman in the ring.
  15. At least you don't have to see Champion's hair. Also, cowabunga dude!
  16. Snowman pulls off his role really well here. Probably because he would have liked to go farther than he got to.
  17. Some incredibly cool looking figures and rings. Would love to have a few of those.
  18. Great little brawl that ultimately is a set piece to further the feud and turn Percy. I like the idea that these two continue the hate-fueled brawls a lot.
  19. I can't see this working out well for Tessa or Dundee next time Tatum sees them. I still like the Tatum character, it fits whats going on in the angle to a T.
  20. Great way to work a barbed wire match. Unexpected, but no complaints at all. Austin getting caught trying to drop Adams over the barbed wire was a perfect finish.
  21. Jumbo makes Misawa the new star! And I gotta ask, why the Kabuki hate? The uppercuts are great. He rips up Kobashi's arm and then his leg when that's what's going on. Great, great match and the kickoff to the Jumbo/Misawa feud.
  22. I noticed Lex was incredibly over here. I mean like world champ level over. For having a legit injury like he did, it's amazing we got what we did. And umm, yeah...fuck whoever came up with everything involved with this finish. Had Robocop left the building? Did Sid get lost somewhere after running away from Giant Gonzalez? What did Gonzalez even do during this segment that amounted to more than ambling around? How did Ole get all that time to mess with the cage? Last but in no way least. WHO thought putting a finish to the match that made NOBODY look good at all was a good idea? Flair looks like he lucked out keeping the belt. The Horsemen look nothing like the most elite group in wrestling. Luger looks like a guy who just got fucked over one too many times and never gets to win. Sting gets one or two good licks in on Flair I guess. I'm struggling to see where this seemed like a good idea in terms of how everybody comes out of it.
  23. New rule. Jim Ross CANNOT talk about goddamn college football or any other sport while a wrestling match is going on. Ever again. Fun power match with almost a late 80s Jumbo vs. Tenryu feud at its height feel to it. Just big dudes hitting each other hard and tossing each other around some. Oh and about 300 too many college football references. Fucking JR. Did he go home and masturbate to some NCAA football after the show?
  24. Great match, Z-Man doesn't stink it up early. Pillman plays a great FIP and then...fuck you Z-Man. Maybe try a little after your hot tag? In answer to Sleeze, I enjoy Lane quite a bit. He just can't quite measure up to Bobby. I think he'll always be the lesser half of the team to a lot of people.
