  1. Pringle with the line of the year so far. That is going more than a little far, but it made TV so Jarrett must have been okay with it. I do like the crazy bastard with a yellow streak that Pringle is playing here. Put Tatum with him and Borne and you've got quite the trio.
  2. First, what did that jobber ever do to Austin to deserve that? Christ, next Austin is going to pull him into the parking lot and run him over with a car. One thing about Texas is that you get guys like Shane West here and Chris von Erich with Borne just killing themselves to make heels look good. And I can't imagine the money was anywhere near enough to cover the long-lasting effects. Toni really gets worked up at Jeannie and she still seems to be getting more time than Chris.
  3. Pretty clear the Horsemen don't care for Herd here, but they cover for him anyway. Yeah, Ole as commentator....you know, him and Funk would make a pretty fun team on commentary.
  4. Seems like this feud was not meant to turn Lawler face, so they had to make it clear that Snowman was the babyface and Lawler the heel on this show. Wonder who is getting fire thrown in their face in MSC?
  5. Snowman and Eddie Marlin getting along? This is strange, but makes sense with what has happened and Marlin's role as the promoter (wants to see bigger crowds).
  6. I caught that as well, with Toni being the aggressive one out of the two and chasing down Austin and Jeannie. Who really wears the pants here? Good outing for everyone and it's kind of strange to see a match involving the ladies where they get every bit as vicious and aggressive as the men.
  7. That was such a nasty injury. Huge credit to Hokuto for being ridiculous amounts of tough. You can hear her start to go into shock at one point before she catches herself. Ugly, ugly injury that I don't think would have been shown on TV in the U.S. if it wasn't live.
  8. I really enjoyed the third fall. The multiple turns based on reactions to the injury and resulting events were really well done. And Satanico was incredible in this match for sure. Sangre continually running away from Perro was pretty fun too.
  9. I am in agreement with the Dr on Dragon 100%. The guy simply has no clue on selling when it's his turn on offense. BUT he always makes his offense look good and I also agree that Casas provides an excellent base for all of the highspots. Best match of this show for sure.
  10. Seemed like they were a little off all match. Until they hit the finishing stretch and really brought things home well. I also questioned shrugging off the low blows, but it's a ten minute exhibition match.
  11. Toni really takes it to Jeannie here. This is a great feud, but it's still the number two feud of the year so far. Memphis USWA has it beat right now.
  12. I was thinking that Craig should stay out of the shot with Dundee as well. He just looks so much bigger than Dundee. Lawler needs to give Dundee a little bit of credit, but he seems like he's a one-note guy in Dallas.
  13. "Sid would never interfere in the match!" Love ya Corny. What a great botched finish that was. Sid is really working out as a Horseman.
  14. Loved Arn and Flair. Windham did fine, but you have to do more than that with Arn as your partner.
  15. Yeah, I always think of Hansen first as a football play....wait, no I don't. Dammit JR, will you just knock off all the college football crap? Hansen cuts a Hansen-y wildman in the States promo. For whatever reason, he never seems to loom as large in the U.S.
  16. I enjoyed the bone turning into the phone. Goofy hotline commercial that works as seemingly intended humor.
  17. So you have the WCW botching main event feuds over and over, WWF pushing Warrior on the national level. And in Memphis there is a completely professionally booked promotion probably not making money at all. EXPLAIN!
  18. Lawler and Snowman continue to knock it out of the park. Can't really add much to what was mentioned above, but you really do get the impression that it's a real fight going on.
  19. I thought the post-match did more than the match. Too much Percy during the match for me.
  20. I like how Aja was so good at making herself such a juggernaut that it's BIG when the faces start to put her down late.
  21. I wanted a little more out of this. Like more extended fiery Hamada comebacks. But I got what was there and it was pretty good. Aguayo has great offense and I could watch him all day.
  22. Was not a Kendo fan myself. I saw little charm in most of what he did. But he could take a drop toe hold and make it look OUCH! Perfectly good trios match but nothing special.
  23. Wow, what a match! I always love when Hansen plays Ricky Morton. I say it that way for a reason. Both are effective at gaining sympathy from a crowd because they never stop trying something. Of course not a lot of it works once you're really taking the brunt of this kind of assault. But the key for me is the continued efforts to attempt a comeback despite little to no good results thus far. I liked how Hansen cut off the usual MVC borefest early, taking Williams out of the armlock and to the outside. Williams adjusts pretty quickly and really comes after Hansen with a vengeance. You wouldn't know from the crowd or the match that Williams is such a big underdog coming in. That's how much of a genius Stan Hansen is. Another awesome Hansen bit, using the supporter adjust to maybe signal a desperation lariat a few times before whiffing the one that sent him outside. My recollection is these guys have a series of matches that build on one the previous at some point in the early 90s that I really liked. I'm almost sure this was a part of it.
  24. Tatum continues to impress. He's out to kidnap Tessa because she's too stuck on Dundee. Lawler thinks she should go with Tatum because he's a "real man."
  25. Great, great mat-based war. I loved the intensity and struggle. Easily a top 3 match on the set for the first five plus months.
