  1. I wanted Toni to start beating the shit out of Falk at the beginning of the match, but oh well. They again work an extended chinlock sequence to drag things out and Toni gets some measure of revenge. This feud is too one-sided despite how good it is. What have Toni and Chris really gotten back on Austin and Jeannie that hasn't been repaid three times over almost immediately after?
  2. Arsenio and Bobby really have a good rapport. Rude's tights at the end were horrific in all the right ways.
  3. Arn knocks this one into the upper deck. Somebody is sure gonna pay!
  4. I love how both of them were clearly enjoying themselves and getting into character. Atlas is so incredible. "I do what I wanna do! Who are you to tell me what do do?!?" Damn those fans and their demands on the world champ to go to the gym!
  5. Guessing this is from the 80s. Either way, not a great drawing of Kerry by any means. Hard to condemn USWA for the money grab given the nature of wrestling.
  6. I was hoping somebody would hit Falk. I pretty much do every time I see him now.
  7. Tatum is really good at cutting a fired up heel promo. Also at sounding like a douchebag.
  8. Jarrett and Iceman are carrying this off as well as can be expected. It's just the booking is kinda screwy, throwing Iceman into a role the crowd is probably not ready for him to be in.
  9. At least they mentioned the Warrior match this time. Even so, it's not exactly in a way that makes it seem overly important.
  10. That is one tough lady judge! I mean, she can throw a guy who is letting her throw him for crying out loud. Brilliant stuff, but not as good as the in-studio match/post-match. Gilbert is really making his presence felt.
  11. Not sure which I liked more, Lawler's setup of the heels or Anthony's completely psychotic promo after. Either way, great segment.
  12. Seems to me this was more about furthering the rivalry between MVC and Hansen than anything else. If you really wanted to put over Jumbo and Kabuki, Hansen wouldn't have been there interfering.
  13. Impressive pushups by Gaylord, but the rest is....ugh. I don't know what to think about Iceman having the belt but clearly being on the undercard. It makes sense for who they have around. But he's your world champ.
  14. Nice long segment with some of the best talkers from Memphis AND a crazy enough interview from Tatum that it tops all of them. Great stuff.
  15. Tony Anthony really impresses in both interviews and the ring. Lawler is a force of nature, but now on the right side of the fence.
  16. Gilbert decking Curtis was amazing. I was wondering if they'd let Dave take a shot too, but that seemed like a bit much. Gilbert is such a great psychotic asshole here.
  17. Great promo from Hogan. He hits all the right notes and it got me wanting to see that match despite how likely it is to disappoint.
  18. I didn't mind the post-match promo. It set Sting apart from Flair. Sting is a humble guy who will give credit where it is due (regardless of face/heel). Flair would have gone on and on about how Sting couldn't get the job done. It makes sense. Match is perfectly fine, but they rushed Sting back to get the strap on him so I get it being short.
  19. Really good little brawl and then we set up Hansen returning to Japan. This was a lot of fun and I'm glad I watched it.
  20. Fuchi and Kikuchi is tough to go wrong with. Fuchi is still actually kind of nice to Kikuchi here, so that's kind of weird.
  21. I thought it was a much better match than the crowd did. Doom's power offense looked really good against the RnRs. Not as flashy as the MX vs RnR, but still effective.
  22. I think it was mentioned in another thread involving this build. WCW needed to assure their fans that there would be no screwy Horsemen interference ending here. So much so that they forgot to hype the actual match. That was pretty much left to Flair and Sting. Sting seemed more interested in being a good company man and hyping the stips more than the match.
  23. Anyone else notice the Midnights get some face heat both in their entrance and the FIP? And that finishing sequences was so damn good. All three were viable nearfalls in a Southern tag, so it works so well.
  24. Very good match for two guys as seasoned as they are. Harley's neckbreaker was about as picture perfect as it gets. Tommy selling the piledriver was a lot of fun.
  25. Better match than expected from Callous. Both get to look good and the crowd eats it up. Strange this is happening in WCW.
