  1. The mania match went like five minutes, but I remember the Extreme Rules match where Punk lost his hair being really great. I'll have to check it out again on the network.

It's commendable he's still so good with what he's been through. He just seems like a physical wreck, and it'd be nice if he got out before he got seriously hurt.
  3. I'm guessing Bryan over HHH, sledgehammer attack post match, then Taker/Brock and divas match. Have Bryan limp out, and then overcome the odds. I just don't think HHH can help himself from getting some heat back.
  4. If Bryan takes any kind of fall at any point, regardless of it being overturned later, it'll let all the air out of the building and they'll never get the crowd back.

I'm with the majority that loved Christian's ECW run and generally like him, but enough is enough. He's spent most of the last two years on the shelf, and a concussion at this point in his career is really bad news. He seems like someone who's good with their money, and he'd be perfect as an agent, so I don't think he absolutely needs to be out there still. I'd think at some point the office will start to see him as a liability.
  6. The Sheamus/Christian feud isn't a good example because the storyline itself could be compelling with two guys the audience cared about. Christian is always just biding time between injuries, and Sheamus has been in a protected-but-irrelevant spot for a year and a half. The crowd's been conditioned to think that neither guy matters.
  7. I don't know if this would make him a hit, but there was that one time Muta used his mist to impregnate Ling-Ying with an Akebono baby.

The only suspense left is whether Taker can pull off a good match in questionable condition. Last year he succeeded, mostly because everyone was so disenchanted with the build up, and Punk literally made it clear that people should lower their expectations in interviews. I have no idea what they do with someone like Brock, who looks great when he can be very physical, and Taker, who's too brittle to work stiff.
  9. The network airs it live, and it's scheduled for 8pm.
  10. If the media hadn't been such marks, Phelps would've stayed a curtain-jerker in the Kansas territory.

Now that it's definitely a three way it just follows their normal pattern of the three guys all working singles matches against each other going into the ppv.

Harper/Cena ruled, but the segment with Cena and the mirror needed Bischoff yelling, "John I don't see anything!"
  13. Haha Hogan totally John Travolta'd Manganiello's name.
  14. That four way was really fun. That was the most I've enjoyed any of those guys in months.
  15. WWF had the same problem with Goldust's umm...gold dust.
  16. I'd hope most of the heat for that is on Fandango. Goldust was clearly shaken up by what could have been a serious injury.
  17. The Andre Battle Royal will make everyone appreciate what a better concept the Royal Rumble is than a regular royal.
  18. The Test/Stephanie wedding Raw is on right now. HHH channeling Beetlejuice in the tunnel of love drive thru is gold. Sometimes he's almost as funny as he thinks he is.
  19. Did anyone ever get smashed in the head with the York Foundation computer? Everything I know about wrestling tells me it should have happened.
  20. I wish the like button worked.
  21. "He's in there throwing punches like he learned to fight in San Francisco from a guy named Lance or Bruce." Oh JR.
  22. Not a great panel, but I remember Road Dogg being an awesome hardcore champion. It was the only time he really stuck out as a singles wrestler.

Harper doing the trombone dance will be a dark day indeed.
  24. I think there was some finger wagging afterwards. From what I recall, the agent didn't know about it.
  25. It doesn't have the atmosphere of MITB 2011, but their execution is definitely a lot cleaner. They are really wonderful at getting across that they have each other scouted to a virtual stalemate. The Cenacanrana as the setup for the finish is great, because it's Cena wildly trying something Punk hasn't seen before to throw him off. Punk and Cena always worked together like they had something to prove, either to each other or the audience.
