  1. I remember hearing he'd lost interest in wrestling, and became involved with the rodeo, with indy shows supplementing his income.

The only memorable singles he had off the top of my head was with Bryan, which is cheating. Though, I was impressed with his selling there.
  3. I don't think it's hard to believe at all. He strikes me as someone who's only aware of WWE and maybe WCW from childhood. His insulation coupled with the developmental at the time is probably why he's such a bland worker.
  4. It's kind of surreal that Orlando Jordan of all people got his last match.
  5. I think there will be at least one title change in between, but an end game of Cena/Bryan for the championship at next year's Mania makes sense.
  6. As far as him working next year, he doesn't owe it to anyone and I didn't think the 30 match was an awful note to go out on. That said, I think its naive to say they haven't considered putting him in there next year with someone that could carry him and treat him with kid gloves to milk a retirement match. Warrior's death will hopefully give them pause. I hated the 28 match, but in any other form of storytelling that would have been a logical conclusion to the streak narrative they'd built. Everything since has been an epilogue.

Yeah, it was superb, but it's not like he hasn't been giving great promos every week for nearly 2 years. You could tell Vince was in love with him during the, "I'm a promoter!" promo.

I started to ask this a minute before the Warrior news broke last night: does anyone know why they're interrupting matches on Main Event with commercials when they don't have to?
  9. It was so sweet that on a night where Warrior was the star inductee into the hall, he took the time to put his kids first and make them a part of it. It's no consolation right now, but I'm sure his daughters will find some comfort in having been able to see their father appreciated and respected by his peers and fans.

There's a chance he was supposed to appear at Mania towards the end of the show, but it got cut when he went to the hospital with Taker. That wasnt reported anywhere, but it would make sense. I will say from the picture of him backstage with Warrior, it looks like he's aged another ten years since he was last on TV.
  11. I'm not sure about the law, but there's no way the McMahon's don't take care of his family. Between PR concerns and their close relationship with him at one time, I'm sure they'll pay out the deal.
  12. I wish I could glimpse into the alternate universe where Schwarzenegger and Devito decided to make Suburban Commando when it was pitched to them and Hogan and like... Bob Hoskins made Twins.
  13. His family looked like they adored him during the HOF. This is really strange.

If Main Event is only on the network, why are they running commercials during matches?
  15. Maybe next year they'll do an angle where Taker is in denial that it's really over and try to redeem himself in a title match against either Cena or Bryan. If they're smart about how they lay it out either one of those guys could carry him to good match.

Teddy putting together a new Doom would rule.
  17. That makes sense as a subtle heel move. Thanks!
  18. I don't know why he's gone overboard with the fake n' bake tan the last few years. He looks like a burn victim.
  19. I was watching a Bret match from his first intercontinental title run, and he broke a pinfall by getting a foot on the ropes. Gorilla immediately began making excuses for him, saying he did what he had to do. Was getting to the ropes to break pins/holds strictly a heel move until recently?
  20. I don't know why he couldn't just come out in the paint and talk to his hands for five minutes. The cutesy, "this is me putting on the jacket and mask and getting into character," felt uneccessary.
  21. That was the only crowd that would work in front of. Bo and Rose make it to the main roster intact, but it looks like they're taking away everything about Paige that got her over in NXT. Paige Turner didn't look good, but at least the smark crowd knew it was her finish. If she's a plucky underdog face this will fail, and she'll probably be heel using her submission finish by the end of the year.

No Sting : / This has to end with the MATCH BEYOND!
  23. That's the Larry the Cable Guy tie-in movie.
  24. She was introducing him and he backed her into a corner, got on the second rope, and gyrated in her face. She tweeted that he hadn't discussed it with her in advance and was outraged, but backed off shortly after. I'm pretty sure Aries refused to apologize.
