  1. You're still very down on Williams, Stephen. I doubt Tenta, Barbarian, Meng or Boss Man could have delivered in All Japan in 96 like he did.
  2. What book is this? Sorry, it's the solie chronicles by Robert Allyn
  3. Update - Up to Funk-Brisco and he's still off with the racing every few paragraphs. Annoying.
  4. I dunno, I thought it was effective and fairly well-enforced until about 2010 or so. There's talk of a Smackdown 6 in 2009 for a reason, y'know?
  5. Reading the solid chronicles. Getting fed up of scanning through it for wrestling stories. When does he quit the stock cars?
  6. Jake Roberts at Rumble '96 maybe?
  7. Agreed. Does Wade watch much else apart from WWE? I get the impression he/The Torch was big into RoH in the mid-00's but don't see/hear much beyond WWE these days.
  8. Thought this might be a bit dodgy when your guest said he hadn't watched any Million Dollar Man but this was interesting overall.
  9. No worries. Yes, I'd certainly love the healthy, full of potential version of Kurt Angle that he was in his first year or two (unless I'm deluding myself about that too), but that ship has long since sailed, and his trainwreck of a career and life is one of wrestling's saddest stories. He does deserve a last hurrah, but I don't think a wrestling ring is the healthiest place for him to have that. A WWE Hall of Fame induction and speech is the best we can hope for.I caught up on a lot of 2015 TNA a while back. Angle's still pretty solid in the ring.
  10. Ah, right. Was it ever brought up as an issue in WWF?
  11. eagerly awaiting that explanation too, Matt.
  12. Adonis and Murdoch guzzle opponents? Never heard that talking point before. Which opponents?
  13. Fair enough. Just listening the Ted v Windham talk. You still haven't completed my comparisons homework, Parv!
  14. On a bit of a roll here. Chad, what was your point about Hogan defending the title more than people realise in 1997? All I can find is the Souled Out, SuperBrawl, luger switches back and forth, and Starrcade listed. http://www.profightdb.com/wrestlers/hulk-hogan-19.html?year=1997
  15. And (and!) that point about how much footage hardcore fans had watched in the early 90s as opposed to nowadays - you're blowing my mind with all these great thread ideas!
  16. Also, that 'when were JCP/WCW and WWF most and least alike' is a great talking point.
  17. Chad, Fair enough that the Sting-Vader title switches during the March '93 tour didn't resonate with you. I can tell you, however, that LittleBadMick was thrilled to make his way to the big city (Belfast) on the 16th and watch Sting defend the title against Orndorff. Vader demolished Hayes too. For the record, the switches were to Sting in London (11th, I think) and back to Vader on St Paddy's Day in Dublin.
  18. So next week covers 1992. Just letting you know that the greatest WTBBP was the SuperBrawl 2 review, so step up boys!
  19. We are turning Johnny heel after all, then?
  20. I remember reading about John's trip stateside on Power Slam all those years ago. Nice hearing all about it again.
  21. when would you say that was? I'd peg him as below par from early '99 to start of '02.
  22. Where's that clip from, it's hilarious.
  23. And we've grown up. And expect others to do likewise.
  24. I think we need all the heavy hitters (Pete, Dylan, Will, Parv etc) to give their weekly average.
