  1. Doesn't anyone else ruthlessly cherry pick at raw? Makes for a pleasant 50 minutes or so for me every Tuesday.
  2. Different strokes.
  3. This is something that's puzzled me a bit for years. The decisions to allocate wrestlers music, and when seems quite arbitary. Warrior had his tune by WM 4, yet DiBiase came out to silence until 1990 (I think). By 1991 it seems every featured star has a tune, but why was it so patchy until then?
  4. I think Parv said 5th November. Not our fault Americans can't date things correctly.....
  5. Sorry to be that guy, but I'm guessing joe malenko was on an spring 98 nitro - that's when the Jericho feud was happening.
  6. The compliment was for Tim.
  7. Completely agree. Really good analysis here. Your practice of watching everything twice for reviews really pays off.
  8. Really? I should watch it again. Previous viewings have always left me with the impression it was really rushed (for tv time, presumably).
  9. Looking at TNA's second quarter of last year, Aries v Angle (aired on 10th June) really stood out. Angle also had a three match series with Young. I enjoyed the stretcher and Bully Ray-refereed ones. The Magnus-Storm streetfight at Slammiversary was enjoyable but went into overkill.
  10. Lots of great stuff in there. Seems like you've spent your limited time wisely. You've requested opinions. Just a couple that I find out of place in a Top 100 - Rock/Mankind at Rumble, Awesome/Tanaka (One Night Stand), Undertaker/Mankind (KotR 98), Windham and Luger v Horsemen (Clash 1 - a little too short for classic status to me) and HHH/Michaels (Hell in a Cell).
  11. I was looking at results from TNA at the beginning of 2015 and remembered Meltzer having some positive things to say around that time. I've skimmed through the January to March shows this week (watching matches of interest, and a few promos), as well as the Wolves v Dirty Heels series as they happened last May/June. Without watching the whole shows, and potentially skipping through some nonsense, I've really enjoyed the stripped down feel to the show. The dark arenas (yes, I know why they have dark arenas) feels like a throwback. Crowd reactions in January were perfectly acceptable, and way better in the UK tapings afterwards. The format is to my liking also. Plenty of good talent (Roode, Young, Aries, Joe, Low Ki, Storm, Hardys, Angle, Lashley, Spud, EC3), plenty of good talkers and I feel that in it's own little world it's a perfectly acceptable wrestling show. Standouts were a couple of Joe v Aries, Aries v Ki, Spud v EC3 and the second Angle v Lashley match.
  12. What's Cabana's issue with New Japan?
  13. Jimmy, didn't you write a glowing reviewl of Cesaro v Rusev v Owens (on Raw) during the summer?
  14. I'd say WrestleMania 6. He was still doing monster business for rest of 87, 88 and 89. It was only after he came back in summer of 90 that a slip in popularity becomes apparent, and then 91 is worse.
  15. Good to have you back guys.
  16. Sorry to hear that Goodear. I've always found your contributions here interesting and thought provoking.
  17. Cheers Parv. Did you put Angle through the computer yet?
  18. Two and half hours in and really enjoying it. It's cool that Tim doesn't like to put on recent stuff, letting the dust settle before adding matches to something like this list. And Stephen has given himself an interesting challenge of only including matches watched and rewatched since 2013. Produces plenty of variety, even if there's a good bit of saving matches both have ranked til later.
  19. That is a really good tip, cheers Kelly!
  20. The other one. Seems massively polarising. Doesn't have the same 'brought in a style that I hate' stigma as Angle, unless you credit/blame him entirely for self conscious epics. Do folks have a preference for pre- or post injury?
  21. Any suggestions on updating, Loss?
