Hopefully John Travolta is rolling around Billy Bobs with Scott Glenn and the mechanical bull. I love the change up and the shows. I am still a little on edge with Benoit in the main events at this point in his career... but when you look at his resume in this world we've created... it really makes sense and works on a different level. I congratulate you guys on building him into one of the premier rookie talents in the world.

I thought about allowing pinfalls and submissions... but I think I came up with a better way - or, at least, another way - to differentiate the JWA Rumble from the American versions. I wonder if anyone has/will pick up on it? In regards to the teams? I was trying to dissect it more but that's what I was coming up with. I almost thought about running a house show style rumble with teams of 4 ala the old N64 Wrestling Games but also only allowing 4 men in at a time or something to that style.
-
Very fun rumble. I always liked Japanese battle royals for the pinfalls for some reason.

PWO 1988 - 1992 Draft Discussion
LowBlowPodcast replied to LowBlowPodcast's topic in Armchair Booking
Sorry fellas... i just bought a house and have everything wrapped into the 1983 (on to 1986 by the way) project. I am sure I can pop out a one off here once things settle down and maybe we can pop back to a draft around May/June if there is some interest in a 93 to 97 time frame or something along those lines. -
WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: Phoenix, AZ – Veterans Memorial Auditorium -Prime Time opens this week with Gorilla and Jesse putting over SNME. They talk about the big WWF title match and Hulk Hogan retaining the title but how he will have to take on Manny Fernandez tonight. Plus we hear about the Hart Foundation earning a shot at the WWF tag titles against the Fabulous Ones at WrestleMania. Also signed for WrestleMania will be the one on one match with Hulk Hogan taking on Ted Dibiase! We hear about tonight’s card with Hennnig taking on the Honky Tonk Man, Demolition vs The Mercenaries, and Hogan vs Fernandez! Let’s head to the ring! Curt Hennig vs The Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart -A pretty decent match here as Gorilla and Jesse put over all of the happenings of SNME. This one is a pretty decent encounter for about 12-minutes but the real issue is when Bobby Heenan comes out with Rick Rude and they scout the contest. The finish is an interesting one when we see Greg Valentine come down along with the Fabulous Ones while King Kong Bundy comes out and it looks like a Hart Family vs Heenan Family showdown! Honky is looking on but then is all a set up for Hennig to come from behind and roll up Honky for the 3-count! Heenan tries to celebrate with him with Hennig backs off while the Harts and Heenans look like they may explode! *COMMERCIAL* We return to Prime Time with a promo from Barry Windham on the King of the Ring in a couple of weeks and he puts over all the competitors before we hear from Gorilla and Jesse that it will be Hercules Hernandez taking Gino’s spot in the King of the ring and the updated pairings look like this… Curt Hennig vs Don Muraco w/ Mr. Fuji Barry Windham vs Hercules Hernandez w/ Slick Billy Jack Haynes vs King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan Brutus Beefcake vs Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart Demolition vs The Mercenaries w/ Mr. Fuji -A good contest but the story unfolds with Demolition taking the Mercenaries apart and Mr. Fuji really having some problems with them. It is kind of a rematch from last week but tonight we see Pain and Destruction on full form when they double bodyslam Akeem and then double clothesline Kareem out before coming back with a big double elbow drop on Akeem for the 3-count. Fuji just walks away from the Mercs here… Demolition walk over to the booth and put over the tag team division. They talk about how they are going to do whatever it takes to get another shot at the tag team titles. They said they will pull out all of the stops and will have the gold before too long! *COMMERCIAL* Prime Time is back and we see Ted Dibiase here with the Big Bossman. He puts over the big announcement to take on Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania II but also the fact that Dibiase will be in the corner of King Kong Bundy when he faces Hulk Hogan! Dibiase says he has scouted Hogan… he knows his weakness… he will walk out of Chicago with all of the gold! MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan vs Manny Fernandez w/ Bobby Heenan -First time for the Hulkster on Prime Time. The crowd is white hot for him and we get a pretty decent match. Fernandez is kind of a wild card and looks to go into business a little bit for himself but Hogan slows it back down. Heenan does a masterful job outside of the ring getting the fans riled up before we see the flying burrito from Fernandez. It is a 2 count and then the Hulkster comes back! He hammers a couple of big rights and then the big boot and the legdrop for the 3-count! Rick Rude runs right into the ring and attacks Hogan and here comes Bundy! The Heenan Family has been all over tonight’s show and we see Hogan trying to fight both of them off but the numbers are too great before the crowd pops when Curt Hennig and Barry Windham run out and join Hogan. The Hulkster is joined by these two as they fight off the Family. Here comes Dibiase and Bossman into the scene. This might break loose right now as Hogan, Hennig, and Windham want them all to come in but nothing doing! Jesse and Gorilla put this through the roof… Before we go off the air Hogan, Hennig, and Windham go to the booth and put over the match. Hogan says he knows one of these guys is going to be the King of the Ring and he will fight with both of them to take on the Heenan Family whenever they got the guts to step into that ring! Gorilla and Jesse put over the King of the Ring next weekend from Philly and say we will have all the fallout right here on Prime Time next Monday!

You think you are some kind of special man. Well just like all these people out there… you are nothing but a piece of trash. It is worth a lot of money for me to take you out of wrestling tonight and that’s exactly what I am going to do! Don Muraco: I have been training with Mr. Fuji… he has taught me all the secrets of the Orient and tonight there is nothing you can do to stop the Magnificence of Don Muraco Beefcake! Brutus Beefcake: I have been up and down the road doing a lot of thinking and Don Muraco it comes to head tonight. I am looking to turn my fortune around here in the WWF and I think that it starts tonight. It starts with you. We know that we can’t let our guard down but tonight we are coming arms up and ready to fight! Tito Santana: That’s right Barry… Bobby Heenan I know you have got something up your sleeve and tonight we are going to rip those sleeves off… no surprises just us beating you! Jimmy Hart: Tonight’s the night Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart! Tonight you two get exactly what’s been coming to you! Tonight the Hammer and the Honky Tonk are going to show you why you never should have turned our back on me and the real Hart foundation! Bret Hart: The Real Hart Foundation huh Jimmy… well you’re looking at it.I am the Hitman… this is the Anvil and these two Harts beat as ONE! Hulk Hogan: Tonight's the night for all of my Hulkamaniacs! Tonight we step into that ring with Stan Hansen. This is one bad dude who can come out of anywhere with that Texas Bullrope… but Stan Hansen can you come at me heads on. Can you come at me when my back isn’t turned. Tonight you are going to have to and tonight you are going to feel the power of Hulkamania and WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE52xBR8ITA Vince: Welcome everyone to Saturday Night’s Main Event! I am Vince McMahon alongside Jesse the Body Ventura and Jesse… what a night we have in store here on NBC! Jesse: That’s right McMahon! Tonight is Prime Time and we are California where things just tend to be a little bit bigger. Vince: Well tonight we have got a great card all headlined by the WWF Championship being on the line with Hulk Hogan taking on Stan Hansen! Jesse: Hansen is one of the most dangerous men in the history of wrestling… on top of it he’s a bounty hunter… and tonight he is looking to collect! Vince: Also tonight, The Hart Foundation take on the Hammer and Honky Tonk Man… if the Harts win they will get a shot at the gold as per the word of Jimmy Hart… Jesse: Jimmy’s word is his bond McMahon! Vince: Be that as it may… we will also see tag team action with Windham and Santana taking on the Heenan Family! Jesse: The Family is ready for revenge and tonight they get it and it is long overdue! Vince: We shall see Jesse… right now it is time for singles action as we head to the ring! Brutus Beefcake vs Don Muraco w/ Mr. Fuji -A little King of the Ring preview with these two who will be involved in the tournament. They talk about a big change that will be announced on Prime Time Wrestling due to the unforeseen death of Gino Hernandez. Jesse says that losing a talent like Gino Hernandez is a true loss for the sport, and he is 100% correct. This contest sees a little touch and go but once again, Brutus is just not where he needs to be and Muraco is able to take control and the finish sees Brutus grab Mr. Fuji off the apron for Muraco to come from behind and hit him with a knee right in the back and then roll him up with a handful of tights! Muraco is the winner but Beefcake comes back after him for a fight! *COMMERCIAL* Mean Gene: Welcome in here right now Hulk Hogan. Champ, tonight you face Stan Hansen… is he the most dangerous challenge you have come across? Hulk Hogan: Well that’s the thing Mean Gene… dangerous is an interesting term dude… danger is all in the eye of the beholder and brother in terms of size and strength there may not be anyone tougher than Stan Hansen. But like I said before Mean Gene… he is a puppet and I want the man holding the strings. I know that Ted Dibiase isn’t that far behind and I am putting it on the line right now… once I get done with Stan Hansen… Ted Dibiase… I am COMING FOR YOU! WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © vs Stan Hansen -A big time contest on the bright stage of NBC. The crowd is going wild for Hogan and we see Stan Hansen come right for him. They are battling outside the ring and the crowd is white hot right now. This one only goes about 13-minutes and the brunt of it is outside the ring and brawling. We do get some heat with Hansen working over the neck and back of Hogan. The key moment happens when Hansen hits the Lariat on Hogan but nails him in the back of the neck and he goes flying out of the ring to the floor. Hansen comes out and stomps away before picking up Hogan and putting him against the ringpost. Hansen runs but Hogan ducks out of the way and Hansen NAILS the ringpost! He is clutching his arm and this is Hogan’s moment. He puts him back in the ring and Hansen tries to kick and stomp but Hogan fights back. Hansen then grabs him and tosses him to the ropes for a Lariat but Hogan ducks and hits the ropes and comes back with an AXE BOMBER! Hansen is reeling and then Hogan SLAMS HIM! He goes for the leg drop but here comes Dibiase and Bossman! They run into the ring and attack Hogan! The crowd is going nuts here as it is 3 on 1! Hogan is still got that adrenaline going and he hammers with rights and lefts and clears the ring! He is welcoming Dibiase back inside but Teddy knows better. Someday… somehow… these two men have to get it settled! *COMMERCIAL* -Jesse and Vince are back and they put over how Hulk Hogan is with Jack Tunney right now and word has it that he has DEMANDED a match against Ted Dibiase at WrestleMania! Vince says it is the best main event possible and Jesse says he would put all of Dibiase’s money on Ted to take the title from Hogan! They talk about the tag titles and the King of the Ring title which will be on the line in a couple of weeks. They put over Barry Windham and Tito Santana as former tag champs against a team who is one of the top up and comers right now in Rude and Fernandez. We cut to the ring for our next contest! Barry Windham & Tito Santana vs Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez w/ Bobby Heenan -A lot of emotion going into this contest. In a weird way, there is sympathy for Heenan and his crew…. They have the arm bands… we know the story… but it unfolds here tonight. A good team of Windham and Santana who really prove to be a great duo. This one goes about 14-minutes and we can see that Rude and Fernandez have all the makings of a top level team.We see Windham and Tito both do some good work here but it comes down to Windham getting a hot tag and coming in with a blaze but then Heenan grabs his foot and Windham goes down and he clutches his knee. He is holding on and screaming while the referee checks on him. The crowd is is awe right now as Tito checks on him before Manny comes out of nowhere with a flying forearm right on the back of his head! Rude comes over and then set him up for a spike piledriver and the 3-count! This one isn’t over though as Santana tries to get over to help his partner who ends up getting carted to the back holding his knee. Jesse and Vince wonder just what happened here with Windham. *COMMERCIAL* -We return to SNME with Mean Gene standing with Jimmy Hart and all of his men. Jimmy puts over how the Harts will never beat the Hammer and Honky so he isn’t worried about them facing the Fabs. He says that after tonight, he is going to focus his men on the IC title and the World Title and he will bring all the gold to the Hart Family! The Hart Foundation vs Greg Valentine & Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart -Vince and Jesse put over how this match has title implications for the Harts. If they win, word has it that they will get the contract to take on the champions at WrestleMania… while the same could be said for Honky and Valentine… could Jimmy Hart have the Rhythm and the Blues? Regardless, we get a pretty decent 12-minute contest after the chaos of the championship match. They work a decent style and the Harts begin to really build up as a babyface team. Bret takes a beating and keeps on ticking. He keeps trying to come back while Honky and Valentine beat the piss out of him. When it does make the tag to the Anvil, that’s what makes it that much better. The Anvil comes in and just beats the shit out of these two with some big shots and the Harts look to be on fire. Here comes the Fabulous Ones… they are out here to cause problems but this leads to an interesting turn when Dino Bravo runs out. The Fabs look to go after Bret outside the ring but it is Bravo who pulls them back and then hammers away at both of them to a big pop from the crowd! Bravo helps Bret back in the ring and just then we see the Anvil nail Valentine with a shoulder block and he goes flying! Honky runs at the Anvil who hoists him up and then Bret comes off the ropes with a big clothesline! The Anvil covers for the 1….2….3 and the Harts are going to face the champions! The crowd is going wild right now! Jesse and Vince put this over in a huge way! Will the Harts get their chance at the Fabs or will someone else… like the Bulldogs… they are the next in line! Vince and Jesse say we will hear from Jack Tunney when we come back! *COMMERCIAL* Jack Tunney: Ladies and gentlemen thank you for joining me. As you have seen in our contests this evening, I feel that it is time to make two official WrestleMania matches. The first match will be for the WWF Championship and will be a matchup between Champion Hulk Hogan and challenger Ted Dibiase. The next contest will be for the WWF Tag Team Championship and will involved the champions the Fabulous Ones and the challengers The Hart Foundation. Both of these matches will be subject to change however as another match already signed for our MArch edition of SNME will involved WWF Champion Hulk Hogan defending his championship against King Kong Bundy. If the titles do change hands before the event, the subsequent champions will be put into the contests. Thank you for tuning in and we will have more matches to be signed for our great card in Chicago on March 30th!

REST IN PEACE Gino Hernandez August 14, 1957 - February 2, 1986 It is with great sadness that we write of the passing of Gino Hernandez... perhaps one of the most polarizing figures in the history of professional wrestling and one of the most influential performers of the last three years. Hernandez got back into the sport in early 1984 after taking a hiatus in 1983. He started the year off with a boom when he joined Mid South Wrestling and he and Tully Blanchard ran rough shot over the sport and even headlined a Superdome show against the Junkyard Dog and Ted Dibiase. Then the big move came when he went to the WWF. He was an Intercontinental Champion out of the gate on two occasions before losing the title to current champion Randy Savage. Hernandez then joined with Chris Adams and Bobby Heenan to become a WWF tag team champion on two occasions. An injury to Adams cost the team the titles and then it was looking like Hernandez was set to get back on the top. He and Hulk Hogan had a number of main events around the country and they were scheduled to wrestling on Sunday night in Houston in a Texas Deathmatch... the problem being Hernandez never made it to the show. The WWF was lucky enough to have Stan Hansen to fill in and create a fun match for the crowd but the absence of Hernandez was ultimately felt in his hometown of Houston. Word of his death was just rumor when the show started but it was confirmed the next day on WWF Prime Time Wrestling. We could tell there was some overdubbing of the audio to try and help the situation but again, Hernandez absence was felt. Since the beginning of the year, it looked like 1986 was going to be a prime year for Hernandez. He won the inaugural Rumble in the Bronx. A performance that was garnered by a standing ovation when he came through the entrance to the locker room. He was loved by his peers and his closest friends. He was a guy who could go out and wrestle the 60th minute as fast and hard as the 1st. Randy Savage was quoted as saying "He was probably my best opponent during my time in the WWF. The guy could get heat and take over a match. The guy could outwork anyone in the locker room and make you take it to a level you didn't know you had." Hulk Hogan was quoted as saying "I don't know all the details but I know that Gino was a great guy to work with. He was different than my other opponents and it helped out matches. I know the guy had his things he was dealing with and this can be a tough sport." When speaking in riddles it cannot be understated enough that Hernandez life was marred by controversy. From the identity of his father to his incredible pay as a Houston performer under Paul Boesch to his known issues with drugs and possibility of a gambling debt... Hernandez was the topic of many different conversations. So the biggest question is what could have been? We know that Vince McMahon had a very special relationship with Hernandez. He was said to be the next big star and someone who was even in line to possibly take the WWF title from Hulk Hogan. McMahon loved the style of Hernandez and the heat he could get as a heel. The best part about all of it was that fans loved to hate Hernandez but they loved to see him. He was a major draw for the promotion and his absence is sure to be felt. He was in line to be part of the King of the Ring tournament and some within the company said that the King of the Ring was going to be the kick off point for him to get to the top of the card and take things over with Bobby Heenan as his manager. Heenan said, "It is funny when you see a guy like Gino in the locker room because you know just how good he is. He can go out there and work with anyone and make anyone look great. He was a pleasure to work with and travel with. I will continue to manage and make a career for myself but I know that the Heenan Family may never be the same." I can tell you that members of the writing staff will continue to put forth their best effort with the WWF but with Gino gone... so is a little bit of the fun in helping shape one of the most fun characters to ever be involved in the game.

I love the way you set up Japan with the graphics and such. It is a great way to present the product with some notable US wrestlers and the influx of awesome Japanese talent. I personally don't know if it would work to have some death match stuff but I don't think that shows up till the 90s right? I always loved the explosion matches. Regardless Japan continues to make waves. Once WrestleMania concludes we should talk about some WWF talent coming over to get some more exposure.

Kudos on the St. Claire promo/conference. That was a great way to get him and Billy going. I continue my discussion saying that Magnum TA is the prime time dude right now in the NWA and if it wasn't for Martel... I would say he should be champ. We all know his window is closing but you are building him to be on top of the world right now. -

I will echo others on the Ron Garvin push. It is always an interesting dynamic in Texas to see who will rise up outside of the Von Erich and I think Garvin is set to be a top dude here. Terry Funk is also a very fun read and looking at the Brody vs Studd match... I am hoping for some Studd revenge! -
I really appreciate how well you are building this group of talent. I tend to run more towards established characters but you are doing a great job at establishing these individuals yourself and making them special. This is all highlighted by the top of the card with the bigger names who draw the houses but they see the younger up and coming talent. Very good development, top to bottom.

WWF NEWS -A couple of quick hit notes here from the WWF as they return to Houston this weekend. The WWF has been hyping a big Hulk Hogan vs Gino Hernandez match in Houston on the 2nd in a Texas DeathMatch. Should be interesting to see Hogan and Hernandez in that environment in Houston. -The WWF has reached out to several members of the NFL about joining them for WrestleMania in Chicago. Such names as Bill Fralic, Jimbo Culvert, Russ Francis, Harvey Martin, and Ernie Holmes have signed up to take part in a special event for the show. Additionally, William Perry the Refrigerator from the Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears will also be in attendance. The WWF has also reached out to Jim McMahon and Walter Payton but no word on if they have agreed to appear yet. -The WWF is hoping to release some matches for the card in the coming weeks… perhaps as soon as next weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. The problem being that if they release matches this early, it could hurt shows when titles and such would be on the line. The WWF wants this show to be promoted in a big way and hopes to put together something that will go down in the history books. -Don’t call it April fools… but I have seen a booking sheet that says that the WWF will be in Richmond Virginia on April 1st for television. The WWF may be trying to expand to the Southeast but it is such a hotbed right now… I don’t think they have the names who are familiar enough to make a big splash. -Expect more towns in the Northwest for the WWF as they are trying to hit he major markets and secure television. Talks have already begun for WrestleMania III and where it could be held. Los Angeles and Toronto are the front runners with Houston, Dallas, and Miami all being in the mix. The WWF will be looking to put together a major show in a year from now in which they feel they should be seen all over the country and North America with growth into Canada. -Prime Time has been a big success for the WWF. They have switched up their tv tapings to Mondays and allow for Tuesday as a day off and then begin the travel week on Wednesday. This allows them to tape Prime Time as the first show of the week and then allow for the weekends Superstars and Challenge to be post produced to hype up the show (which they already know what will happen). This does affect angles in a small way, but the WWF is willing to give up in order to help the live audience but really build up the television experience. Almost 90% of the production is going towards Prime Time right now with the other 10% being on the other weekly shows. -The WWF does have a Saturday Night’s Main Event coming up next weekend along with King of the Ring and then another Saturday Night’s Main Event in March all leading to WrestleMania on March 30th. This will be a big time for the WWF to try and put everything together to move forward and make 1986 more profitable.

WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: St. Louis, MO – Kiel Auditorium It is with great regret that we inform the WWF audience that Gino Hernandez passed away yesterday in his home. Gino Hernandez started his professional career with Paul Boesch and Houston Wrestling and flourished not only around the country but throughout the world as a premiere technician in the ring and someone the fans loved to hate. After a short hiatus in 1983, Hernandez returned to the ring in 1984 where he joined Mid South Wrestling. In May of 1984, Hernandez then joined the WWF and soon became the WWF Intercontinental Champion. He also held the WWF Tag Team Titles and was recently the winner of the WWF Rumble in the Bronx battle royal. At the time of his passing, Hernandez was only 28 years old. There is no telling how bright the light of Gino’s future would have become but without any doubt his presence and indelible mark on the sport of professional wrestling will never be forgotten. Gino Hernandez August 14, 1957 - February 2, 1986 -A very somber opening that you can tell was reshot in a green screen with Gorilla and Jesse putting over the night’s action and paying respect to Gino Hernandez. They put over how Hernandez was primed to be perhaps the next WWF Champion. He had won the Rumble in the Bronx Battle Royal and was expected to do well in the King of the Ring. They wish his family the best and send their deepest condolences. We then cut to the ring for our first match. Jim Neidhart vs King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan -This is an interesting contest with the Anvil getting some singles work and Bundy who has been looking very strong as of late. Bret joins the commentary team for this one as they put over the King of the Ring and the SNME coming up. Bret says that he hopes Jimmy Hart will stay true and give the Hart Foundation the shot if they win at SNME. Gorilla says it is highly unlikely and he’ll find a way to sneak around it. Inside the ring this is a monster brawl but Bundy is getting the better of Neidhart. The finish sees Jimmy Hart come out with Honky Tonk and they are distracting the Anvil! Bret leaves the booth and runs down to attack Honky. The Anvil watches but loses focus as Bundy attacks him from behind before hitting the Avalanche! 1...2...3! Bret comes in to check on his partner as the crowd is giving Heenan and Bundy the business and not letting Hart off lightly either! -We then cut to announce table with Barry Windham and Tito Santana there. They are putting over SNME and talking about how Rude and Fernandez may be the terrible twosome but they are going to put them in their place for good. Tito says that tag team wrestling is all about the trust and communication of you and your partner. He and Barry have won the tag titles together before and this may be the spot to start that run again! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back for more Prime Time with Jesse and Gorilla putting over the next contest and also SNME. They announce that next week they will have updated pairings for the King of the Ring given the death of Gino Hernandez. Plus next week… Hulk Hogan will be in action against Sika. Jesse says he may be here but the title won’t be after Hansen takes it from him next week at SNME! Dino Bravo vs Nikolai Volkoff w/ Slick -This one isn’t really a barn burner but it is got some likeable moments. Bravo is coming off as a Canadian Strongman Hero type who works with the fans against the evil Russian Nikolai. These guys are bruisers and they have some decent skill but in the end it is the cunning of Bravo that shines through. He is able to duck a big running clothesline and Nikolai hits the ropes hard before Bravo grabs him for a big belly to belly suplex and the 3-count! Nikolai gets up and he is shocked at the outcome! Bravo continues to work the fans but then Nikolai comes and knees him in the back and Bravo goes out of the ring. Nikolai and Slick get some nice heat on their way to the back! -Ted Dibiase then comes out with the Big Bossman and the One Man Gang. They are putting over how Stan Hansen has been hired and paid to put and end to Hulk Hogan. He is going to do it this weekend and Dibiase guarantees that Hulk Hogan cannot and WILL NOT live forever! *COMMERCIAL* -We return to our final segment here with Prime Time. Gorilla and Jesse put over the appearance of Hulk Hogan next week along with the matchup of Curt Hennig taking on the Honky Tonk Man, plus we will find out the pairings of the King of the Ring given the recent changes. They put over how tonight we get to see Andre the Giant! MAIN EVENT Andre the Giant & Demolition vs Sika & The Mercenaries w/ Mr. Fuji -A really fun six-man. The team of Sika and the Mercs are absolutely humongous. Demolition and Andre are not slouches though and Jesse even says they look like a well-oiled Machine… pun intended. This one goes about 12-minutes with everyone getting involved. The major story to come out of this is the disjointment between Fuji and the Mercs. They continue to argue with one another but this just sets up the finish while the Mercs argue outside the ring… Demo hits Sika with a double clothesline before Andre grabs him for a bodyslam and then an elbow drop for the 3-count. The baby faces work the crowd as Gorilla and Jesse put his over and tell us all to tune in to SNME next week! Saturday Night’s Main Event VI February 8th Oakland, California MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan © vs Stan Hansen w/ Ted Dibiase Barry Windham & Tito Santana vs Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez w/ Bobby Heenan The Hart Foundation vs Greg Valentine & Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart Brutus Beefcake vs Don Muraco w/ Mr. Fuji

Gorilla and Bobby argue about Heenan’s involvement with Hennig. Heenan says he saw just how good Hennig could be on Prime Time and wants him to sign the contract! Gorilla puts over how Hennig has a match next week on PrimeTime against the Honky Tonk Man and Heenan says he will be there in his corner! Been pretty happy with the usage of Nikita here over the last couple of months. With the Russians and Warriors on the horizon... that should be box office. The other main draw with Duggan vs Dr. Death will be a tough battle between two guys who could really throw and will light up the territory.
-
I love the pairing of the Nasties and Paul E. I always thought they'd be a perfect fit for one another. You have really pushed Benoit to the top here. He is getting a lot of recognition as a young up and comer as he should have. I would have loved to see the crowd when Von Erich and Magnum took down the Rougeaus.
-
I applaud the amount of effort you're putting into the announcing of the shows. It is helping tell the story just that much better for those who may or may not know all the stars here in PR.

I have heard of the Ole Anderson vs Magnum matches in real life being very good and this one here in Greenville would go down as a good one in my book. You are building him up to be the premiere athlete in MACW and perhaps the NWA and it is working with him getting love here and throughout the NWA. -

Been looking forward to the Bar Room Brawl thanks to Urban Cowboy... I was surprised to see Brody win over Studd who I had pegged as one of the top performers in the country right now. I know Brody gets the nod when all else fails and hopefully he's around more to reap the reward. I also loved the Gavin vs Schultz contest. Those two guys could throw and I like the setting of their brawl. Much like Sting before them, the Steiners are getting a chance to shine here early in their careers. I am sure they will be groomed and ready when the call comes but right now they are doing some solid work. -
WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: Worcester, MA - Centrum -Prime Time opens with Jesse and Gorilla putting over the big night of action including the big Six-Man Tag Team contest, plus… the release of the King of the Ring pairings. A special show that will be on the PRISM Network on the 16th of February. We also find out that on that night the British Bulldogs will get their shot at the WWF Tag Team Championship against the Fabulous Ones! We head to the ring for our first contest! The Tonga Kid vs Don Muraco w/ Mr. Fuji -Both of these guys are hoping their names are called for the King of the Ring as we see a fun 11-minute contest. Tonga Kid has got a lot of speed and agility which keeps up the pace but Muraco is really got into a grove. We see him catch Tonga who goes for a flying body press and turn it into a modified Tombstone Piledriver that shakes the ring! The crowd audibly AWES with the move and the 3-count. Muraco is looking tough right now! *COMMERCIAL* -Prime Time returns with Jesse and Gorilla joined by Jimmy Hart and the Fabs. The Fabs are still sporting some wraps on their heads. They cut a good promo on the Bulldogs and put over how they have defeated every challenger since they have come to the WWF. They have beat everyone and now the Bulldogs will be next in line. Gorilla asks about the Hart Foundation and Jimmy says they will have to beat Honky and Valentine before ever earning that title shot! They build to the next contest with Brutus Beefcake and Hercules! Brutus Beefcake vs Hercules w/ Slick -Another fun contest but not much for workrate. Brutus is far away from where he could be as a worker and Hercules is on a pretty good run but can’t carry a match. Slick is a fun addition outside the ring but the contest drags a little before a fun finish. We see Hercules go for a full-nelson but Brutus runs him into the turnbuckle and then comes from behind with a rollup and the 1...2...3!!! Brutus sneaks out of the ring with a big victory! Gorilla and Jesse put him over as they talk about the King of the Ring Pairings when we come back! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back with Gorilla and Jesse putting over the pairings of the King of the Ring. They say that these are the pairings, not the brackets, and those won’t be released till day of. So you know who you face in round one… but after that it won’t be known until the night of! Here are the pairings… Release of the King of the Ring Pairings Curt Hennig vs Don Muraco w/ Mr. Fuji Barry Windham vs Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan Billy Jack Haynes vs King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan Brutus Beefcake vs Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart -They put over the big first round match of Gino Hernandez and Barry Windham. We will get a preview of that match in just a while but right now they welcome out a promo with Hulk Hogan. -Hogan comes out with Jesse and Gorilla and puts over the big SNME match with Stan Hansen. He talks about how much is on the line. He puts over how he is the king of the jungle here in the WWF… he is the head lion… and every once in a while there is another lion who wants to challenge the head one and that’s Stan Hansen. He says it is going to be a brawl to end it all but then… there is also that lion waiting in the background to see what happens. He says that is Ted Dibiase and when the time is right and that lion tries to strike… the pride of Hulkamaniacs will let the Hulkster know and then he will show everyone why he is the true WWF Champion and no one is going to be able to stop him! Our main event when we come back! Saturday Night’s Main Event VI February 8th Oakland, California MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan © vs Stan Hansen w/ Ted Dibiase Barry Windham & Tito Santana vs Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez w/ Bobby Heenan The Hart Foundation vs Greg Valentine & Honky Tonk Man w/ Brutus Beefcake vs Don Muraco w/ Mr. Fuji *COMMERCIAL* -Jesse and Gorilla put over SNME and talk about how a WWF tag title shot is on the line with the Harts taking on Valentine & Honky. They put over the big main event and talk about the King of the Ring with Windham, Hennig, and Hernandez all being involved! We cut to the ring for this big contest! MAIN EVENT Barry Windham, Bull Ganter, & Curt Hennig w/ Superstar Graham vs Gino Hernandez, Manny Fernandez, Rick Rude, & Bobby Heenan -A huge main event with a lot on the line. Outside the ring, Superstar just looks like a shadow of himself. Inside the ring, his man, Bull Ganter is a double tough dude with a million dollar body. Speaking of bodies… Rick Rude looks slim and trim. He looks like he is in the best shape of his life and to boot, the Heenan family has got some major heat and Gino Hernandez looks to be in the prime of his career. He and Barry Windham do some great work… but it is Gino and Hennig who blow the roof off the arena tonight. This one gets a full 18-minutes and ends with some chaos. We see Bull and Manny (Ragin Bull)... just explode in the middle of the ring as they fly outside. We see Bobby Heenan try to get involved but Superstar pulls him down and gives him a big right hand! Hernandez runs at Windham with a clothesline but Windham ducks and then Windham runs and clotheslines him over the top to the floor. Rick Rude with a very low knee on Hennig and goes for the Rude Awakening but Hennig counters and backslide for the 1….2...3!! Hennig with the big win and the crowd pops! Hennig and Company celebrate outside the ring while Jesse and Gorilla put this through the roof!

Starting to jump on the Embry train a little as you have got him really moving in the right direction. I also love the use of John Studd. He is showing that he is the top guy and that no one can stop him. World Class is a force in the NWA right now. -
WWF Live 1/20 New York City, NY – Madison Square Garden Rumble in the Bronx! Hosted by Gene Okerlund & Lord Alfred Hayes RUMBLE IN THE BRONX The Fink: Welcome ladies and gentlemen. This next contest is a very special attraction. This is the special RUMBLE IN THE BRONX MATCH! In this contest, there will be 30 participants. Those participants drew at random a number between 1 and 30. In the ring currently are the men who drew number 1 and number 2. Every minute, a new participant will enter the ring, in the order by which the number they drew. Elimination can occur by being thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor. The referees also have discretion on the elimination of a participant. It is now time for the RUMBLE IN THE BRONX! Here we go with the Rumble in the Bronx as it is Bull Ganter & Conquistador 2 starting things out. With only 1 minute intervals, this is going to be hot and heavy and we get it started here with some nice action. Ganter is able to manhandle Conquistador 2, but as the buzzer rings, here comes # 3 Conquistador 1! They try to double up on Ganter but nothing doing as the big guy shows off his muscles and then with a double clothesline, he sends both men over the top rope to the floor! Gorilla thinks he won it already but Jesse has to correct him as the buzzer goes off and here comes #4 Sika! Sika makes his way down and he’s a very dangerous man. They do some battle with big time strikes and Sika even gets the upper hand before running for a high knee but Ganter ducks and then tosses him over the ropes and right now the Bull is ruling the ring! Here comes #5 Kareem w/ Mr. Fuji! Managers are allowed to stay ringside and we get the first really big test here for Ganter as the 450 pound Kareem comes down and really barrels down on him. Ganter is in a very bad way as Kareem looks to finish him off with a big splash but Ganter moves out of the way! Bull gets up and hammers as Kareem is backing up and then Ganter with a huge dropkick right to the mush as Kareem falls and then another dropkick to the back and Kareem goes over the ropes to the floor! Bull Ganter is gassed and it is time for number 6! #6 Rick Rude runs down to the ring and he is like a pit bull on Ganter. He is throwing some big time bombs and really wearing him out. He even picks him up for a piledriver and NAILS IT! Rude gets up and he is posing as Heenan is yelling at him to eliminate Ganter. Rude picks him back up and goes for another PILEDRIVER but Ganter counters and tosses Rude who goes over the top but not to the floor! The time is running down and here comes #7 Gino Hernandez! Another member of the Heenan Family and here comes Gino! It is a 2 on 1 and they are wearing down the Bull. Some big time rights and lefts and stomps as they are wearing him down. They toss him to the ropes and go for a double clothesline but Bull ducks and then he comes back with a follow through clothesline and he drives both men over the ropes but they don’t go to the floor! Gino sneaks under the ropes and waits in the wings while Rude and Ganter struggle before Gino runs and throws Ganter over, along with Rude! Gino is in the ring alone as time is running down for #8 Marty Jannetty! The Rocker Marty Jannetty comes down to join the contest and we get some really good action with he and Hernandez who are almost perfect fits for a fast paced minute of action. Gorilla and Jesse put over the luck of the draw and how this one is almost un-winnable without a high pick. The buzzer goes off and here comes #9 The Honky Tonk Man! Jimmy Hart comes out with his man and you know he still has a sting from the Hart Foundation leaving him. He has also got a big time tag title match tonight inside a steel cage! Honky and Gino double up on Jannetty for a bit before #10 Dino Bravo! The Canadian Strongman comes down to even the odds for all intensive purposes and he does just that with some big time strikes and even a punch that sends Gino over the ropes but not to the floor. The action begins to pick up as the ring begins to fill with #11 Don Muraco comes down to the ring and this are not looking good here for Bravo. Time continues to move quickly and here comes #12 Nikolai Volkoff coming down to the ring. If anything, the managers may end up getting into it out here. Nikolai can match power with Dino and they throw some big time bombs that get the crowd going. #13 Greg Valentine makes his way down and things start to get really bad for Bravo and Jannetty. Gino and Nikolai are doubling on Marty while Valentine and Honky are working over Dino. Gorilla and Jesse put over how there may not be teams but you know people will work together! Here comes number #14 Bret Hart! Hart runs down and he is like a ball of fire! He is hammering away at Honky and then at Valentine! The crowd is getting hot here for Bret and then they really let loose with number #15 Curt Hennig! Hennig runs down and goes right to work. The crowd explodes when Bret nails the Honky Tonk Man with a dropkick and he goes flying out of the ring to the floor! On the other side of the ring Gino Hernandez clotheslines Marty Jannetty and he is out. The timer runs down and here comes #16 Barry Windham! Windham runs down and immediately gets his hands on Gino Hernandez. They are throwing some big time rights and lefts and the crowd is going wild. The time continues to wind down… here comes #17 Akeem from the Mercenaries! This big guy comes in and he is cleaning house. No matter who is in his way he is shutting everyone down! Everyone seems to be bouncing off of this big man as the time runs down for number #18 Sting! Sting is here and the crowd isn’t 100% on who he is but the face paint and the energy really makes a difference! He is making his MSG debut right here tonight and he jumps over the ropes and nails some big rights and lefts and then hits the ropes and a huge dropkick to Akeem and he backs up into the ropes and then he comes with another big clothesline and Akeem goes over the top to the floor! We get a headcount of Gino, Dino, Muraco, Nikolai, Valentine, Bret, Hennig, Windham, and now Sting. These guys do battle for a couple of moments before number #19 Paul Roma. Roma runs down and joins the action. Sting is bouncing around but Gino Hernandez comes from behind and he goes over the top to the floor! The big guy comes in and makes a huge splash but doesn’t last long… much like the timer as here comes number #20 Davey Boy Smith! The Bulldog comes out here and joins the fray with some strikes and he helps out Bret as he and Valentine are battling in the corner. Don Muraco on the other side of the ring is battling it out with Hennig and this one is really action packed. Out comes #21 Jim Powers! Powers comes in and joins his partner Paul Roma. They are doing battle with Volkoff but Nikolai with a very stiff forearm on Powers… but then out of nowhere Roma eliminates him! Powers is looking at him but Roma shrugs it off before Nikolai comes from behind and tosses him! Roma and Powers are arguing outside the ring! Out comes #22 Manny Fernandez! The Ragin Bull comes down and jumps right in. He is helping out Gino Hernandez. The crowd pops when we see Jimmy Hart involved with Bret but then Greg Valentine comes from behind and tosses him out! Bret looks up at Valentine and now he’s distracting him for Davey Boy who comes from behind with a dropkick and Valentine goes over the top to the floor! Bret and Valentine continue to fight on the floor as we see number #23 The Tonga Kid! The returning Tonga Kid runs down and nails some big shots before a big headbutt and out goes Nikolai Volkoff! The crowd is going wild because on the other side of the ring it is Windham and Hennig who almost have Hernandez out as the buzzer goes off for number #24 The One Man Gang! The Gang comes down and he is not messing around. He comes over and grabs Bravo and tosses him out and Manny Fernandez at the same time! Tonga Kid runs at him and Gang with a back drop over the top to the floor and just like that it got very sticky in here! It is Gino, Muraco, Gang, Hennig, Windham, and Davey Boy! The crowd likes the six-man tag aspect of what is going on here as the buzzer goes off for number #25 Tito Santana! Tito runs down and he is really hammering away at Gino Hernandez and then Don Muraco. He and Muraco have had some issues as of late and this is a good reinforcer for their hatred. Their battle ends up costing both men though as just before the buzzer Tito and Muraco tackle each other and go over the top to the floor! #26 The Dynamite Kid runs down and he and Davey Boy are doubling up on the One Man Gang! Gang is fending them off but Gino Hernandez on the other side of the ring isn’t holding on as well. He ends up getting tossed over but pulls Curt Hennig over with him but Gino rolls back inside! Hennig is out as number #27 Hercules makes his way down! Hercules jumps right in and helps his buddy the One Man Gang out with the Bulldogs! Windham and Hernandez continue to fight as the buzzer goes off for number #28 Shawn Michaels! Michaels tries to get involved here but ends up being nothing more than another wrestler at this point. Just like that we get #29 SD Jones! He runs right in and we get some more brawling. We see the strength of Hercules when he hammers SD Jones over the top to the floor! The final timer goes down… here is #30 Jim Neidhart. All 30 men have come in and now we get into the final moments. We see another spectacular elimination when Shawn Michaels gets tossed over the top rope to the floor. On the other side of the ring Gino Hernandez helps Hercules eliminate Jim Neidhart and we are down to our final six. The big moments happen when the Bulldogs double clothesline Hercules over the top to the floor but The One Man Gang comes from behind them and now they are out. It is Windham, Gang, and Hernandez! Gang and Hernandez double up on Windham who comes back with the passion of 1,000 fires. He is giving everything he’s got and even nails a couple of big dropkicks! Windham looks to be in control as he gets up. Gang makes a big charge but Windham ducks and pulls the ropes and he goes flying over the top! Windham gets up but Gino Hernandez dropkicks him in the back and Windham goes over. Gino Hernandez has won it! List of entrants INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Billy Jack Haynes vs Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth -A solid 18-minute contest with Savage, the heel, still getting some love from the crowd while acting as heel as ever. He finishes off Billy Jack very similar to the way he beat Dino last week after and nasty throat shot on the ropes and then a roll up with a handful of tights. Andre the Giant vs King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan -A showdown of the colossal here with Andre and Bundy. This one is a simple 8-minute affair with both men showing strength but Andre being Superior. The finish sees Andre body slam Bundy outside the ring before rolling in for a count out victory as Heenan is irate. WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © vs Stan Hansen -A big time contest on a huge stage. This one actually takes place before the Battle Royal in traditional MSG fashion. This one is a wild 14-minute contest with Hogan and Hansen brawling all around ringside. Nothing crazy of note here but the finish is a DQ when Ted Dibiase gets involved. He and Hansen try to double up on Hogan bringing Andre back out to team up with the Hulkster to stop the issue. Hogan and Andre break up the brawl in just enough time to save face. MAIN EVENT CAGE MATCH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Demolition vs The Fabulous Ones © w/ Jimmy Hart -Pure pain and destruction. That what occurs in this 17-minute bloodbath. Jimmy Hart is screaming outside the ring for his men who are just getting brutalized and the crowd is going nuts! We see both Kiern and Lane, down and out as Demolition look to go out of the cage but the Fabs find a way to fight back up. Kiern and Lane do put up a fight but it is Kiern who gets up the cage with Smash but then goes out over the top! Kiern is out but Smash looks down as Ax yells at him… Smash comes back in the ring and it is Lane who is at their mercy! Jimmy Hart is almost crying outside the ring! They beat the living hell out of Lane and he is gushing from ear to ear. Demolition hit the Decapitation Device and then make a break for the door. They work the crowd on the way as Ax gets out first but here comes Valentine and Honky! They double up on Ax outside the ring and beat him down. Smash looks to go out of the door but Kiern runs and SLAMS THE DOOR ON HIS FACE! Smash goes back and falls in the ring while Lane is crawling to the door and here comes Kiern to get back in the cage and pull him out! The Fabulous Ones have done it! They have defeated Demolition and retained the Tag Team Championship! They are gushing blood! They are being carried to the back. This is pure chaos!
