This would be incorrect. It was most certainly the Full Nelson Facebuster. He beat Rock for the title with it in 2001.

So Ambrose no-selling everything is fine because that's how he's booked and there was absolutely nothing he could do to avoid no-selling in such a ridiculous manner? LOL. The match lasted 35 minutes. Does anyone seriously believe they couldn't have Ambrose take enough punishment in that time to make his attempted comeback seem impressive and just HAD to have him shrug off THREE gimmicked Powerbombs (and 20+ minutes of legwork)?
-
Dean Ambrose, the guy who got Powerbombed on the barricade-TWICE and then immediately after got Ligerbombed on a Ladder (AND chairs? can it get more preposterous?) and then got up just fine and climbed on a ladder is not a very good seller. Whether selling is still a thing in WWE would be a more interesting debate.

The Superplex is probably the stupidest spot to do in 2015. It's been rendered meaningless, no one buys it as a finish, it's ordinary and not impressive, why even bother taking a bump of the top rope?

What's YOUR point?

Shibata-Naito was a great match and a reminder how much better Naito is than dorks like Goto and Anderson. He's already mastered the character work, all that's left is for him to start wrestling more like Rush and less like Mutoh.

It's 2015. All they need to do is type "top wwe racist" and behold: http://whatculture.com/wwe/wwe-10-shockingly-racist-gimmicks-made-fans-jaws-drop.php

For recent stuff you should at least check out his two singles matches vs. Kazuki Hashimoto.
-
It may not have been exactly 40 minutes (though it sure felt that way) but the Flair/Jumbo hour long 1983 match is filled with dry matwork. But is that something we really need to go back to?
-
The Jumbo/Billy matches were classic in my estimation and not the subject of my point.
-
I don't get how someone can think 40 minutes of Jumbo on the mat is "classic" and think 1990 UWF is boring but hey, to each their own. Check out Fujinami and Fujiwara's pro-style work if you want something similar to Billy. And there's plenty of "big" shoot style, especially in UWFi.
-
Why do you dislike shoot style Parv?

Honestly I'd much rather watch NOAH Misawa than All Japan Misawa these days. The 2006 and 2008 Morishima matches are as good as Morishima matches can be. The 2004 and 2001 Taue matches are both great yet vastly different. I remember Misawa/Ogawa vs Hashimoto/Otsuka being more of a Hashimoto showcase but it's a great match regardless. Everything he did in Zero 1 was gold, especially the Zero 1 Debut Show Main Event Tag. The Sano 2007 match is breathtaking. Misawa/Ogawa vs KENTA/Marufuji is remembered for the insanity in the finishing stretch but what's really remarkable about it is how smartly it gradually built to it.
-
It could. New Japan pulls it off and they have a lot more relevant guys to work with. They don't have nearly as much TV as WWE but let's be realistic, Raw is the only show that matters.
-
The Rollins match was good for what it was (if we ignore elements the workers couldn't do anything about) but my main takeaway from it was that Brock made a leap into a holy shit moment and I can't justify claiming there were 100 wrestlers better than him when he can do stuff like that.
-
This show pretty much confirmed current WWE style is as interesting as 2010 ROH.
-
They seriously ended the show like that. No DQ. No refs. No pin. No nothing.

I hope Lesnar no-sells all of Taker's shitty finishers. He won't though.........

I'm completely perplexed by what anyone sees in him. His "best run ever" in TNA was mostly based on shitty promos and him not being fat anymore. He had three good matches, all of which were carry jobs. AJ Styles tried to kill himself in order for that number to grow but Ray's shittiness prevented that from happening. I'd never rank a guy like Edge but at least I'd see where someone would be coming from if they were to include him on their list.

I like lazy Sano. He would just Rolling Savate Kick everyone a lot. Good times.

The Hashimoto matches are amazing and better than anything Brock has even done. Also has great matches vs. Kawada, Fujiwara and Ohtani and good tag work alongside Hash and that's just off the top of my head. The idea that he "sucked" as a worker is a ridiculous myth.
