Thanks for all the great comments. We will continue to upload at least one new match a day maybe more! As we are able to organize the matches we are starting to be able to put together some in episodic fashion along with interviews. Hope you enjoy those. As for the Roku App it is proving to be more costly and complicated than we initially anticipated - but we are continuing to work on it. Also hope to have a BIG announcement in the next few weeks regarding the involvement of a huge wrestling personality in the NWAClassics.com project.

On August 29, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas GODZILLA JAX DANE defeated HIROYOSHI TENZAN to become the new NWA World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion. Congratulations to the new champion on a hard-fought victory.

[1984-12-27-Houston Wrestling] Ernie Ladd vs Brad Armstrong
BruceTharpe replied to shoe's topic in December 1984
I loved the psychology of the match - Brad basically sold the entire match - made his comeback and got the win. Classic way to put someone over without losing your heat. THIS is why every young wrestler in the business should study these tapes.- 1 reply

According to his book - Stan Hansen was very close to Pete Roberts in Japan.

There's already a Dale Veasey match on NWAClassics.com - the "Georgia Strongman" was always one of my favorites.

I am enjoying these matches as much as anyone! This is the style of wrestling I grew up on and we literally have HUNDREDS more of these great matches to upload. I'm so thankful that they are in such good condition. And if we release just one match a day - you will have new matches posted daily on NWAClassics.com for years. What I plan to do as soon as we can - is transfer the rest of library - which is a monumental and costly undertaking. An upload it as quickly as I can so it can be correctly organized. In the meantime I will share the matches with you as soon as they are transferred and return to us. And no - I really don't have any control of the order in which they are transferred. I would have to be physically in Indianapolis to do that. This isn't a perfect world - we don't have the matches in chronological order or the full cards yet. But we are doing the best we can!

Just checked the run sheets and what we have listed goes through Dec 1986

yes - it goes up until 1987 the WWF takeover of Houston and actually includes the first WWF card in Houston but I doubt I will posting that!

Working as hard as possible on the Roku App . . . too complicated to explain but rest assured there will be a big announcement when it's ready. I know I've said two weeks before - but I seriously don't anticipate it being much more than . . . two - more - weeks.

Guys - the library isn't organized as it's transferred. I have run sheets that correspond to approximate dates - but we literally loaded a large truck full of tapes. We did a visual on all of them. Some we immediately knew needed restoration (baking) that takes weeks or months. We set those aside. Then I told them to transfer a variety of matches first - so I could present a variety of really classic 70's matches - along with more contemporary 80's matches. As I get the matches back from the lab - and we edit them - I usually upload the best matches first. Some of the matches have audio issues that take time to correct as well. So my plan is to upload as many as I can (but that will literally take us a couple of years) then organize it as we go. Again - we could have waited a year to upload everything and organize it first - but I wanted to get this content in front of the fans as quickly as I could.

Thank you guys for all the comments. We read all of them. We will do our best to address all of these concerns and continue to improve NWAClassics.com on a regular basis.

Houston Wrestling Results (NWA Classics Research)

Great stuff! And I'm looking for the Andre - Spoiler match! -
I will be happy to answer any specific questions on here! Doing all we can to get the Roku App finished didn't anticipate how complicated it was going to be and we hit a few snags along the way. But it will be finished soon and I will make a big announcement when it's ready. We are trying to get as many matches uploaded as possible then will organize them as we go. Again - we could've waited a year and uploaded / organized everything - developed the Roku App etc. - but I wanted to get this amazing footage in front of the fans asap.

You guys are amazing!

Hope everyone is enjoying NWAClassics.com! We plan to debut a new and more easy to navigate website in a few days - and will be uploading more current NWA content as well. And yes we are working super hard on the Roku App and hope to have it ready very soon!

Development of the Roku App has taken longer than I anticipated. We could have waited to launch NWAClassics.com until everything was ready to go including the Roku App - but I wanted to get this content online for the fans asap. No one wants this Roku App finished any quicker thank I do. Hopefully just two more weeks. We will make a HUGE announcement when it's ready.

Jack Brisco was in my opinion one of the greatest NWA World Champions ever. I love his matches.

Tanahashi is an amazing wrestler whom I have gotten to know very well by traveling with him extensively in Japan. I will be back next month for my 15th trip. I have also had the opportunity to watch Tanahashi wrestle in person many times and he is amazing. Truly an elite athlete - and I believe that is the future of the wrestling profession. Wrestlers who exhibit truly athletic - hard hitting - competitive - amazing - believable - wrestling matches.

Terry Funk was one my favorite wrestlers as well as people. What a great person who truly loves this business. I will be in Amarillo this weekend with the NWA World Heavyweight Champion TENZAN and hope to connect with Terry for at least a little while. The last time I was in Amarillo was with Rob Conway in February - and we were literally snowed in and couldn't get a flight out. Terry Funk drove through the ice and snow to meet Rob and I for breakfast at the IHOP. What a fantastic individual.

I am currently looking for an Original Sheik vs. Rocky Johnson match from Houston - as soon as I find it we will post it NWAClassics.com. Original Sheik was one of my all-time favorites and I got to meet and travel with him. He still scared me!
