  1. What a great way to end 85! That MSG card was incredible. WOW! Stan Hansen! What a shocker. Back in the 80s I always wanted to see a Hogan/Hansen program for the WWF title. Looks like I might finally get my wish. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
  2. Good deal. Yea it wouldn't feel right using the Assassin name without Hamilton involved.
  3. Another great show. I loved the angle with Kerry using 10 grand of his Starrcade winnings to pay Studd's fine. That was genius. Of course the Garvin promo was hilarious. Things are heating up in Texas with Steel Cage Showdown coming up.
  4. Cool, thanks for the info guys. I was actually planning on bringing in the 'New' Assassins with Hamilton managing them.
  5. Sweet, MACW would like to book Antonio Inoki on Feb. 22.
  6. Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling News Well, Starrcade is in the books and word is that Jim Crockett was more than pleased with the event. Outside of a few technical glitches in Greensboro, the show was viewed as a huge success. Crockett also stated how impressed he was with the Quebec portion of the event. He praised the NWA World Heavyweight title match and said it was an all time classic. With all the backstage changes, the Crockett's were extremely grateful to the other territories in the NWA for helping make Starrcade a success. They say that the NWA will stand tall in 1986 as all the territories involved are on really good terms. As for MACW, the biggest news will be the announcement of the U.S. tag team tournament. Jim Crockett is happy the Andersons are representing the NWA as world champs. He also knows they will be traveling all around the NWA, defending their titles. That's why he's thrilled about the U.S. tag tournament. This will give the MACW territory their own tag champs to defend the titles on the loops. A lot of teams want the US straps and are coming in to compete in the tournament. MACW wants to really build up their tag team division. The Crockett's have always been huge fans of tag team wrestling and they've been working hard at signing a lot of established teams. MACW will also be putting focus on some young teams as well. Rumor has it, that their ultimate goal is to bring in all the top teams in the entire NWA for a Crockett Cup Tag Team Tournament sometime in the Spring. Somebody who isn't very happy is Ric Flair. Flair claims that politics caused him to lose the world title in Quebec. Rumor has it, he has something big planned to show the NWA that he is still the best wrestler in the world. One final note, MACW has signed one of the biggest wrestling stars in the world, Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka. The Crockett's are very confident that Snuka will be a huge draw for them and have some big plans set for him.
  7. Hey everybody, does anybody have Jody Hamilton on their roster? I didn't see his name anywhere.
  8. Sounds really cool. Looking forward to JWA in 86.
  9. Great way to finish 85! Who is the masked man?!?! Awesome Orndorff/Bock match, the fans got their money's worth on that one. The AWA looks more than ready for 86.
  10. Great follow up from Starrcade. Man, who were those men that attacked Borne???? Martel and the Rougeaus look ready for 86. King Tonga is a madman. Looks like the Creatchman family have rebounded well. Lots of good stuff going down in Lutte.
  11. MACW releases George Steele, Tiger Chung Lee and Pete Doherty and would like to pick up Brett Wayne Sawyer, Johnny Rich and Rock Riddle (manager)
  12. WOW! The UWF has kicked off 86 with a bang. Lawler and Rich together, Baby Doll debuts with Luger and a very sinister promo by Ron Wright. Great show and I'm really interested in the Gauntlet Match.
  13. MACW would like to book Mil Mascaras for January 25th in Greensboro.
  14. This card had everything and more. So many great brawls. Wow didn't see that turn by Rambo coming. LOL, Chicky manages to escape. Liked the taped fist match and Madril had to earn that one. Santana looks to be a star on the rise.
  15. Same to you Gene! I feel the same way. Everybody has been so helpful and I'm so glad to be a part of this. Happy Holidays everybody and looking forward to working with all of you in the new year!
  16. MACW places 'The Duke of Dorchester' Pete Doherty on the trade block
  17. Always something good going on in WCCW. Freebirds/Hot Stuff Inc turned out to be just as wild as I thought it would be. Kokina will be a force in WCCW. Goodbye Sir David. Fun angle with Bad News and Parsons. Funks as champs in Texas will be a lot of fun. Love the ending to the championship bout as we could be heading into a Hart/Pringle feud. You really have a way with blowing things off and setting up new angles on the same show. I can learn a lot from you.
  18. Excellent set up show. Chicky Starr really steals the show, man that guy can generate heat. I'm hoping for an epic Starr/Colon feud. I cracked up when Hugo says Santana wont get anywhere with that nonsense attitude, LOL. Rambo is looking impressive. Really looking forward to your big show.
  19. Wow that was one exciting SNME! Every match told a great story. Savage and Gino battling for the IC title will be epic. Looking forward to the Windham/Rude No DQ blow off. Also looking forward to Big Bossman getting into the ring full time. Very intrigued by the Dibiase/Hogan story. Bundy or Dibiase could headline against Hogan at WrestleMania. I think Hogan needs some serious help as Dibiase has a lot of men on his payroll.
  20. Man that card in Chicago was awesome! I bet that drew well.
  21. Very sad. That's the worst part of Fantasy booking, is knowing the sad things that are coming. It's almost heartbreaking for me to write for Magnum TA as I know his career will tragically end this year.
  22. Another fun show. I like the subtle heeling from the Guerrero brothers. Awesome Jake promo, man he's going to do wonders for Cactus Jack. I liked the run ins by Rick Steiner and Bock. The Steamboat/Varsity Club feud will be a hot one.
  23. Two exciting shows that really built up the Christmas Star Wars. Kevin defending against Idol should be a great championship match. Funks going against the Pringle Dynasty should be a fun one. Freebirds and Hot Stuff Inc. will be a wild one for sure. Great card from top to bottom. I'm sure Jimmy Jam is a little nervous going into Starrcade without Embry in his corner.
  24. Mid Atlantic Starrcade Promos for Greensboro Magnum TA: The wait is almost over and your time is up Tully Blanchard. At Starrcade I'm going to prove to the world what I already know, and that you're nothing but a gutless coward. You love attacking me from behind, you love attacking me when it's 3 on 1. Well at Starrcade, when we're locked inside that steel cage, reality is going to come crashing down on you. You will have nowhere to run, nowhere to hide and no friends can help you. You're just going to be left all alone, facing me. You want to take this United States title from me? I'm begging you to come and try! See you in Greensboro. Tully Blanchard: Magnum TA, you're the one who's days are numbered. I can't wait to get inside that cage with you. I'm going to mess up that pretty face of yours when I grind it into that cage. I'm going to give you a beating I promise you'll never forget! Then when I'm done, I'm going to stand over your beaten body, holding my United States title high over my head. Get ready boy, because at Starrcade, you're mine! Arn Anderson: All you people out there are looking at the greatest Tag team in wrestling today, I'm talking about the Minnesota Wrecking Crew! We mowed down all the competition to earn this title shot and at Starrcade we're going to take what belongs to us, the NWA tag team titles! Ole Anderson: It's this simple. At Starrcade, we're going to prove to the wrestling world why we are the best team in wrestling. We're going to go into Greensboro and beat those two freaks from a B monster movie and bring prestige back to the NWA Tag team championships. Pete Doherty: The Duke of Dorchester is the hottest wrestler in the NWA right now. I've defended my Mid Atlantic title against every challenger put forth against me. My confidence is at an all time high and that's why I'm going into Starrcade with an open challenge. I'm going to prove that I can beat anybody, anytime! Terry Taylor: Well here I am and it's only right that I'm in a title match at the biggest show of the year. Young Sam Houston, get ready for the wrestling lesson of your life. I had you beat last time but you were saved by the bell. At Starrcade, we're in a no time limit match so no bell can save you this time. Sam Houston: Putting my TV title on the line in a no time limit match suits me just fine. I know I can beat you Terry Taylor and at Starrcade that's just what I'm gonna do. Roddy Piper: Oh Jimmy Garvin, you've gotten yourself in quite a mess. Now you like to act like a tough guy but I know you're trembling. You're just like everybody else when they're about to face the Hot Rod, which means you're trembling. You're trembling because you're realizing that you have to step in the ring with me at Starrcade and you're trembling because there's no way out of it. What is your lady going to think when she sees her man scared out of his mind? You just better be careful Jimmy, or your lady will end up with the Hot Rod after Starrcade.
  25. Love the idea for SuperClash. That's such a clever way to literally blow off all the feuds and start fresh in 86. Nice job!
