    "Political Hit"

Every current or former booker/promoter would sue citing that it was based on their life story
  2. Not a fan of Kongo vs Moose I don't mind a fat guy worker but Kongo was sloppy in this match and seemed really blown up by the end Moose was fine but he clearly still isn't ready to be put in a situation where he has to be the better worker of the match.
  3. I'd piggy back on this by saying if you can watch the styles battle matches from 53,53,&55 to understand the stories with Riddle & Williams plus it won't hurt to watch those Yehi matches
  4. I've been trying to talk Parv into watching current UK wrestling but he won't do it because he was born a grumpy old man
  5. I think he second fall might have killed Brad
  6. I don't think that anyone that would be listening to WTBBP, hear their ballots, and then be inspired to fill out their own would be the kind of voters you have to worry about. Speaking for myself I listened to all the PWO-PTBN podcasts, watched tons of footage, and had similar debates over the years with other fans but, I didn't start posting regularly on PWO until I got involved with This Week In Wrestling I don't think you could easily write off my ballot as uninformed or naive to the process. The only problem I could see is if by some wildly insane stoke of luck the GWE project got posted on lets say wreddit and went viral thus having all the "I've seen GIFs" crowd put in ballots based on who's popular in NXT at the moment. Short of something in the elk you have to understand that even if the podcasts get more listenership than just the traffic on PWO that anyone listening to PWO podcasts are still the hardest of the hardcore wrestling fans many of whom may just not have the time or interest to posting on any board.

Ambrose did a solid amount in Evolve/DG USA and Chikara
  8. The difference could be that SBG wouldn't be looking for a major hit just more decently rated programming for their affiliates so as long as it did close to the numbers ROH already does and they basically just record it during the regular TV tapings they would probably just green light it and let it run forever much like they would do with ROH
  9. I want to point that Johnny is an old-school, smart wrestling fan, and he still loves current WWE that's fucking awesome man so many people are to jaded from the crap to even give it a fair shake (myself included) I really wish everyone could watch the same WWE Johnny does.
  10. They are working on a "Women of Honor" show as of right now they shot a pilot and are putting the matches on youtube with the idea being that at some point SBG will put it on TV
  11. Really happy to see Gresham getting used by ROH more regularly. Cole and Roddy are a pretty good tag team based on their match teaming in Progress and working as Mt Rushmore in PWG all 4 of the guys in that match are awesome could easily steal the show but, Lethal vs Sydal is nothing to sleep on either that's actually a pretty awesome card my only nit pick would be instead of the trios I'd have a 3-way tag with Moose-Burgers together.
  12. Thank you so very much it was my pleasure getting to pick Dylan's brain I could have easily gone for another hour but life had to get in the way.
  13. We talk about Punk, Politics, Econ, and even a little wrestling Kenny Omega vs Speedball Mike Bailey from PWG to be exact just to get Dylan's surprising reaction to the match http://chucklehutt.libsyn.com/lucha-reborn-16-punk-cast
  14. I would assume Dunn gets paid more because he isn't getting Type A/voting stock so essentially Steph, HHH, and Vince get more because theoretically they are being paid more in equity of the company putting them more in ownership roles whIle Dunn is an employee

The cut off was when he starts to bring up Be A Star is ridiculous because Vince does and then it cuts out implying he was going to talk about Vince bullying people
  16. He made his bed

The problem is the the stock market is all built on speculation so even if the investors are misguided it becomes the truth when they decide to sell and tank the perceived value of the company because they don't trust HHH on the business side
  18. The biggest argument for Eddie Edwards as GWE is probably actually his feud with Biff Busick helping to build Beyond to the height of it's prominence but, because we are doing the pole now we won't have a chance to really if the youtube business model actually does revolutionize the business so that's not really a huge feather in his cap just yet. Otherwise I have to agree Eddie is very replaceable mostly because he's a great wrestler with little in the way of character or in-ring personality so any good wrestler can just come in a fill his shoes. He is also held back by a long term run in the American Wolves with Davey Richards which felt like it was meant to be a stepping stone to quickly elevate Eddie to mainevent status that ended up being stretched out to nearly 10 years now once again the problem being that Eddie never stood out as his own man seemed to just be Davey's sidekick. Eddie Edwards great in-ring but wholly forgettable in the grand scheme of wrestling held back by his success in a tag team with a guy that ended up proving to be a flash in the pan all style no substance worker.
  19. Bobby Fish is a guy that's so fluid and natural in-ring that I really get transfixed by him at times, by that I mean I will be watching Fish and forget about everything else. I've found myself watching Fish and actually questioning how anyone else can be any better in the moment obviously I snap back to reality pretty quickly and remember that he's not the greatest ever although that fact that he has that effect on me speaks to his quality in ring. I have also noticed reDRagon has a similar feel that even when they hit the same pattern of spots for their "two man smash machine" run it always feels fresh, original, and spontaneous while also fitting in perfectly to the flow of a match. Bobby Fish my not be the GWE but damn if he doesn't carry himself in a way that make you believe he is.

Wait... what? What has Hunter done for business that is so smart for the good of business? Putting over Daniel Bryan and Batista. uhhhh NXT and the performance center? Actually the whole premise of investors doubting HHH as the next in line to run the company is that they question his business smarts

    It's actually Dave & Buster from the restaurant/arcade chain Dave & Buster's
  22. I'm really enjoying this show super excited for a CM Punk episode you may guess I'm a huge supporters of his HOF case. Quick note I'm in no way a pro at audio editing but I've noticed your levels are a bit off your intro music is pretty loud and you (host) always seem to come in much lower than the guests
  23. Scott Lost was the best all around worker of the PWG 6 and most of the early 2000s socal indy scene. In a time when a lot of wrestlers were trying to see who could hit crazier and crazier spots as fast as possible Lost knew to keep everything with in reason and make it mean more by doing less, not because he couldn't keep up but because he was The Professional. a cliche nickname you may think was just a reference to a hit man from a 1990s French film, in this case it actually typified the man not just in-ring but holistically. Lost was always crisp with a level of focus and mindfulness rarely seen at all let alone on the indies,Lost made everything count from bell to bell.He had very few matches you could call bad and almost none where you could say it was his fault they were that way. He spent most of his career from the very beginning in tags most often with Joey Ryan, Chris Bosh, and Scorpio Sky wherein he always filled his role perfectly as a cocky prick, lovable underdog, silent assassin, or joking around with one liners mid-match. For singles work Lost had down right great matches with Alex Shelley, Joey Ryan, Scorpio Sky, Davey Richards, Shingo, and Bryan Danielson even with world class talent he never seemed out of place or like he was being carried he was always right there with them and at times even outshining them. Scott Lost's biggest doubter of his career over all may have been himself, I've heard it said having a plan B is just setting yourself up for failure. Lost had decide early on that he would wrestle until he was 30 and maybe that was always in the back of his mind keeping him from really working to move himself forward to bigger thing in the wrestling world.

I'm trying to understand if this is an argument for or against Dylan's theory because as I understand it this is essentially what Dylan is saying as well. That being HHH is intentionally making Reigns look bad to make himself look better both on screen and backstage leaving himself in the predominate position to personally anoint all future "Superstars" and take over control of the company. Here's a counterpoint that more clearly argues against Dylan or a guess a "What if". Is it completely out of the question that Vince is actually involved in this. It's not a secret coup but a plan to make wall street more comfortable with the idea of HHH taking over the company. Vince already gives HHH his worked NXT "conference calls" which seem to clearly be training wheels for when he has to be on the real investor calls. Is it really so out of question that Vince would sacrifice Roman and his own credibility on the way out to help with a smooth transition to his next in line.
