Ok, my mistake. What would be an accurate characterization of his whatever he was accused of? To be honest I don't really know the story, just what I'd read on the internet.
-
WWE has had some head scratching signings in recent times like EC3, Mike Bennett, Lince Dorado, etc. Guys who prior to being signed never seemed like a big time talent and being signed and put on TV still don't. But Elgin would take the cake. He's a poor man's version of Jeff Cobb (who they already passed on) plus he's been accused of rape and/or accessory to rape. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I don't think it will happen that quickly, but I expect a year from now when they do the Becky vs Rhonda rematch for Rhonda to return to a big babyface reaction and Becky to have soured by then.
-
They've done a really good job booking the woman's division. They have PPV main events for the next year or so with Becky going against a half dozen women who have been built up as potential contenders. Neither men's title has a single title contender.

Hey just wanted to give everybody a heads up the download links on watchwrestling for this show are full of viruses, found that out the hard way.
-
I only dozed off twice the whole show.... I liked Brock vs Rollins and Kofi vs Bryan. Nothing on the second half of the show stood a chance, the crowd's been there since 4 pm, watching wrestling since 5 pm and was completely spent after Kofi vs Bryan, so those last 6 matches or so just didn't stand a chance.

yeah not getting mine in on time. Look forward to the results though.

@MikeCampbell I'd compare Bloodsport more to the hard hitting Inokism style of Kaz Fujita Noaya Ogawa era New Japan than the super slick matwork of Takada and Tamura in UWF and UWFi. if that makes sense. Just finished Spring Break. Really enjoyed it. It was hokey and stupid but my kind of hokey and stupid if that makes sense. So out of the 4 shows I've watched so far I'd rank them Bloodsport, Springbreak, Hitchcock Memorial, and Impact.
-
So I watched The Mark Hitchcock Memorial Show. After watching Bloodsport everything else comes off as hokey and busch league. A lot of comedy matches and nostalgia matches.Lots of technical issues. Fenix vs Pentagon, Dragon Lee vs Barbaro, and Bandido vs Ospreay were all good but not great. Parts of the show were fast forward level bad. I also watched parts of the Impact show. same thing.

I kinda want to put Barnett Suzuki from yesterday on my list.... is that possible
-
Severn Mir was really short, and Barnett Suzuki was fucking phenomenal
-
Just finished Bloodsport, if it wasn't the best show I've ever seen it was at least my favorite. Every match was an absolute banger, only the main event ran long, 2 1/2 hours of realistic violent, sports presentation wrestling.

Mauro might be worst of the big name boxing/MMA commentators. I'd put Max Kellerman, Teddy Atlas, Mike Goldberg, Michael Shiavello, Joe Rogan, Andre Ward, Bass Rutten, etc all ahead of Mauro. With that said, he's probably the best of the play by play guys in wrestling right now just because every other wrestling commentator is sooooo bad at the moment.

V is probably my favorite, it took place over two years, first starting in 87 when Hogan saved Savage turning Savage babyface was great. Then a year and a half later the way Savage turned on Hogan was great. It was logical and at the the same time made Savage look like a controlling jealous prick. I liked the build for Wrestlemania 30... It started at the Summerslam before with HHH pedigreeing Bryan then continued through the fall with Bryan and Orton feuding then Batista got thrown in the mix at the Rumble then we had the big payoff to all of it at Mania. The payoff was just amazing in part because after a year of Bryan chasing most people half expected it not to go anywhere. I know I was one of those people who saw summerslam and thought there is never going to be a payoff to this. So the satisfying conclusion was a shock. Plus the build up to Brock vs Taker was great. So the top 3 matches all had a really great build up. I've liked the build up to this year's main event ever since the brawl where Becky got her face caved in back in November.

I was thinking of going, but I'm getting my knee scoped the week before so I'm out. I'll probably cherry pick matches... Matches I'm looking forward to- MiSu vs Barnett - Blood Sport Thatcher vs Hideki Suzuki - Blood Sport Park vs Pentagon MLW Pentagon and Fenix vs RVD and Sabu - Impact Garagano vs Cole NXT Dunne vs Walter NXT Whatever Onita is doing The IWGP title match IWGP Jr title match Park vs Masato Tanaka Becky vs Rousy vs Charlotte Flair
-
With Park and Onita in New York at the same time for Wrestlemania weekend, I'm surprised nobody's booked that match...
-
Wow that was really different. A lot of fun. I really dug Blanchard's stooging in the MUGA setting.
-
There is a certain charm to Vampiro's incoherence.
-
So I saw bits and pieces of the show. Saw most of the Rey de Reys match and all of the main event. Seemed like a fun show, but not necessarily a good show. I'd definately say it was better than the Spence vs Garcia fight which was neither good nor fun and had even more technical issues than the AAA stream.

Man the All Japan classics facebook page is amazing. It uploads two or three matches every day, half of which I've never seen and didn't even know existed. Its far more extensive than ditch's archive or the AJPW google drive.

Favorite active wrestlers at this moment... LA Park Bryan Rush Becky Okada

Damn. I'm in Rockville so Bladensburg isn't that much of a hike to go see a show that stacked. If they do anymore I'm definately going.
-
Hey what can people tell me about Lucha Libre Mexicana at MXL Night Club in Bladensburg Maryland? I've seen ads on facebook for past shows that have guys like Atlantis, Villano IV, El Mesias, FIshman, etc. listed. Is this for real or false advertising? How often do they run shows?
-
what the fuck is Nakamura wearing? I remember back last time I watched Smackdown several months ago these two were super over... what happened?
