  1. So, I'm not really into creating or downloading stuff that much. Is the game worth the money, anyway? Or is it too big a part of the game to get my money's worth without it?
  2. So, the new member fo LIJ has to be Enzo Amore, right?
  3. I finally subscribed to WxWnow today, and watched the first night of 16 Carat '06 today. Apart from Rocky Romero being in the opener, seeing Tommy End (Aleister Black) at 21 years old, being lean and not muscular and having no tattoos at all was a strange thing to behold. Apart from that, it took place in one of the clubs I used to visit almost weekly, was filmed with one cam that was a bit shaky from time to time, and it just seems... So rough and anarchic. Had a real good time watching it.
  4. This is so f**ed up... I'm admittedely a huge HBK mark and always have been. I've been one of those guys sitting at hime and silently going along with the "One more match" chants. But not like this. You KNOW the match is gonna be all smoke and mirrors. That's not how I want Michaels to come back, especially if it's just one match. So many better routes. I'll probably find some way to watch it (not subscribing back to the Network for this) but I practically know already I'm gonna be disappointed. Screw WWE, it's like a genie where you get your wishes fullfilled but it always comes with the biggest of cruxes you can imagine.
  5. Great main event and even better post match! Really looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. I could see an alliance between Tana, Okada and Yoshi-Hashi. That slip and subsequent gusher from Yoshi looked REALLY bad, though, even with what little there was to see of it.
  6. Yoshi-Hashi and Tanahashi is another thing that intrigues me, and I'm wondering if this could play into sunday's big match. The situaton in Chaos seems to be the main focus at the moment in general, at least from a storytelling perspective,
  7. I've been seeing Okada vs. Ibushi in the final pretty much from he beginning. But, the way it is now, I could actually see Tanahashi winning A Block. White winning against Evil and Okada losing against Tana would be the perfect jump start (kind of, they teased a bit already) to a Okada vs. White feud, which clearly is something they are playing with. On the other hand, if white loses, I'll have to go with Okada and his clear redemption story. Ibushi in B Block is a lock in my eyes. Omega winning his block just doesn't sit well with me for some reason, and with Nayto... I just don't think he'll win it 2 years in a row. But anyway, this G1 has been my real entry into NJPW and it's amazing from top to bottom. some of these matches are insane, with Omega vs. ishii being the latest example. Such a blast, although time consuming. I've been skipping the tag matches though, it's just not managable between work and family.
  8. Naito vs. Ishii and Omega vs. Goto were by far the best matches in the tournament so far. It was almost scary at times. And when Omega accidentally dropped the title after the match? My first thought was "Man, Vince would've had him lose the title asap and he'd be in shitty feuds for the next 6 months probably". Which, to be fair, isn't that far fetched...
  9. I hated Elgin in night 1. His arm got SO destroyed at the beginning, and by the end of it, all his selling was reduced to touching it a couple of time. This really took me otu of it for a while. Sadly, this is my biggest take away from the show. Other than liking Jay White, who I've seen two matches from (G1 Climax and this) and I like pretty much all about him, from looks to matches.

I think the ref warned him to not interfere again, or they'd be disqaulified when he ran in earlier. At least he held up a finger to him the last time he came in, which to me seems like "One more time, I'm warning you". And babyfaces rather lose their title honorably than get DQ'ed.

That tag match was absurdely great.
  12. Thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind as the tournament plays out,
  13. This will be my first G1. Could someone tell me how long the daily shows are? More like 2 or more like 3 hours in average? Any more things a newbie has to know?
  14. My first guess would be Okada vs. Ibushi in the finals, with ibushi winning. This could set up a really interesting story with the Lovers pitted against eacht other at WK. Assuming Kenny keepts the title 'til then, which I DO assume.
  15. I've said it some time ago. Braun should come out on Raw and demand Brock right then and there. Obviously that's not possible, so he should just go mental all the time until Brock decides to move his ass to a show. Fits Braun perfectly, makes Brock look even worse and uses MITB not in a screwy way, but rather as a means to get a chance.
  16. Ciampa vs. Gargano had me shaking, shocked, afraid for their respective health and tensing my whole body. Really hard to watch at times, but damn, these two know how to further their story. You can't top this in terms of violence, I think. At least not in WWE. So yes, a third match should start out brutal and weapons filled, but then go back to actual wrestling and have Johnny realize he doesn't want to go to Ciampa's level.
  17. Agreed. This was my first NJPW show in a couple of years and was supposed to help me steer away from the habit that is WWE and to greener pastures, so I went in with little to no knowledge. The Bucks blew me away with the story they told, both with a different dysfunctional body part, Evil & Sanada have INSTANTLY won me over as a fan of them. This was a fantastic match.

The Gargano-Ciampa saga might go down as one of the best angles of all time. Not only has it occasionally involved others (Almas, Black, Ohno), but the three main players do everything right. I loved the segment this week, and the highlight for me was Ciampa's almost shocked look when Candice was laid out. He may be a super villain at his point, but this was an accident that he didn't want to happen and it showed. Brilliant!
  19. This might actually be the deciding factor for me. Or, factors. Between the dreadful Backlash, the abysmal raw this week ( I had completely zoned out after the first hour and bussing myself with my mobile and pretty much everything else), the now regular 4 hour PPV's (which I have to watch alone, except the Big 4 because all my friends I used to watch wrestling with tapped out a long time ago and only one of them is willing to watch anything at all with me) and a potential move to fridays for SD (which sucks because that way I'd have to watch it on saturday or sunday to avoid spoilers, and weekends are family time exclusive, except TakeOvers) I might have lost any desire ot keep on watching. I'm also not a cherry picking guy, for me it's all or nothing and has ever been, and to avoid spoiers I have to watch Raw on tuesdays after work, same with SD on wednesday. Add in NXT and that's three times a week where I come home and watch WWE. Add in a 4+ hour PPv once a month which completely ruins the mondays for me, and it's the breaking point. It's just not worth it. Now, if it were must see TV with compelling storylines and characters, I'd probably put up with it. But it isn't. The product is bland and boring for most the time, the characters are pretty much in no way able to grab my attention (hell, Styles has been my fave wrestler for over a decade, and by this point I even phase out in his matches, because it's so hard to give a damn). My love for wrestling is still there, it's just the current WWE that's doing it's best to ruin it. And I refuse to let that happen!
  20. WTF are they doing with Braun? Random team with Lashley, entering MITB, random team with Finn... It seems they really have no idea what they're doing there. i'd have him win at MITB and have him want to cash in the same night, not caring if Brock isn't there. That could be interesting.
  21. Table for 3 with Styles, Angle and Shane was... surreal. I mean, I ways enjoy those guys just sitting there and talking, gives off a nice vibe. But then not only did they talk about Kurt vs. AJ in TNA, they even showed freaking footage of it, but in the end th even advertised the GWN. Perhaps this shouldn't be so much of a surprise, with Dixie appearing in the 24 on Angle, but still... Something I'd never have imagined i see.
  22. Attractiveness also plays a huge part in recognition value. My gf and I have been together for almost 7 years, and she simply can't warm up to wrestling, she's only seen bits and pieces here and there. Whenever I tell her something about most wrestlers, she just looks at me confused and can't remember ho I'm talking about. BUT, Randy Orton and CM Punk she directly knows who I mean, because she finds the both hot. So yeah, it's a big part.
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O4zeQvOk_4 This is just... just... Wow.
  24. I'm glad it's over. i got a raging headache at this point... Thanks for sharing this with me, made the time go by faster. I don' know what I exected after the 40 man Rumble sucked, but this was just not good. I couldn't even tell you what the best match on the card was. Proably Rusev working his miracles. Te guy deserves to be lone holder of all championships at this point.
  25. Fuck, that bump by Shane was insane...
