I've watched the show with a firend who used to be a fan but now only watches occasional PPV's. and I haven't been able to get into it at all. It jst went by and couldn't grab me, so it's meh for me.

Reigns vs. Cena would also be the first time in years that Cena would receive a full blown face reaction.

Netflix creating a comedy series based on G.L.O.W.

So, the first season is out now. I just watched the first episode and it is fantastic. Great detail and paying hommage so far. Anyone else already seen it or still planning to do so? -
WWE would kill to have a midcarder as versatile and permaover as Disco today, you prick. Don't get me wrong, I loved Disco. His team with Alex Wright was great, and I used to dance to their intro. Bur I doubt that the main arget group sees it that way.

Booker T dropping a Disco Inferno reference on Talking Smack in 2017... Wow. I find that more irritating than everything else on the show.
-
Miz and Renee killing it on Raw Talk, too. Or maybe Mit killing Renee is more like it.
-
I thought Bray way WAY better this week as a lunatic who just giggles at everything rather than a gibberish talking wannabe cult leader. Also, nice main roster in ring debut for The Drifter, although I'm sad he's probably not just gonna be wandering around aimlessly, anymore.

One thing I found to be interesting was the crowd. There were two times I heard a beginning CM Punk chant, and both times it got booed down quickly. Maybe it was edited, but if not it seemed as though there was a great part of the crowd that, even though they didn't care about what happened in the ring, they didn't want to have the match acitvely destroyed. Especially in the Wyatt Family match, where shortly after it slight Harper chant started up. Whatelse I'm gonna remember from Backlash is the really amusing Tag match, which had me literally laughing out loud and that indian Guy becoming champion.

Holy shit, that might just have been the best heel turn I've ever seen. Gargano's facial expressions, his complete shock, especially after the CWC callback literally put tears in my eyes.
-
Where was Rusev, btw?
-
To be fair though, Bray "won" the part of the match in his HOH by putting Randy under that fridge and getting out without being followed. He fucked up in the ring, which is only the lace where he earns his money and is supposed to be in a match...

I don't know, I want to believe (cue X-Files music) tat he fans just wanted to go along with the oldschool angle of the obvious masked guy, ala Giant Machines and Mr. America. That they cheered for El Vagabundo, because he could not be the Drifter, because he had to leave NXT. Probably not that way, but it makes me feel good to think that way.

What are your thoughts on making Wrestlemania a 2 day event?
Gutenberger replied to rzombie1988's topic in Pro Wrestling
Don't forget the new #SDLiveAfterMania. . . FIVE days. -
I liked the show. Close to 4 hours is really, really long. The only time things were really dragging to me was during the Legrand speech, but that's mostly because I've no idea who he is and so I couldn't bring myself to get into it. Dana's speech comparing WWE to fairytales was really goo, though. The clear highlight to me was Beth. She really shone up there and really seemed honored. Just true, heartfelt emotions. And Kurt was amazing as well. Encouraging people to take chances and be silly is always a good thing, but then showing that STILL he isn't shy of doing just that great.

So I was thinking. What are the chances of the SD women's match being this years multi person ladder match? With all the other titles being busy.
-
Ascension should be rebooked as The Surf Dudes with Atttudes. Can only get up from where they are now, anyway.
-
The start and end to SD were fantastic. Miz is just getting better by the week. And the Bray - Randy stuff, while being totally absurd, killed it for me. Reminded me of Ministry Era Taker segments. I wonder if it isn't a bit risky to put out something like that with PG and shit.
-
With Graves leaving they'll get us a rpelacement, will they? We can't be stuck with Tom Philipps and that godawful Percy Watson. . .
-
24 Dallas is a really good watch. Especially the part revolving around the HIAC is pretty emotional. And seeing what that match means to Shane and the emotions it brought kinda makes you feel bad about shitting all over it.
-
If the plan really is Taker vs. Reigns, they can't be that delusional to really think that Reigns won't be butchered by the crowd from the second his music begins, right? And they have to do something with Bryan and Miz. I know, a match is probaby not in the stars, but there has to be some blowoff. Miz is basically Bryan 2.0 at this time, looking at his moveset. This can't lead to nothing.

They were supposed to work a show for WxW on the 28th, but were pulled due to WWE-commitments. So yeah, I can see that. https://www.facebook.com/WestsideXtremeWrestling/photos/a.155657647816192.27266.155039074544716/1296912590357353/?type=3&theater

I thin they're doing a really good job with the women. The division was pretty much depleted and lifeless for a time, and now they're filling it with life again. It's clear that Royce and Kay are no threat to Asuka individually, but together they can damage her. And Nikki is just weird enough that you can never be sure what's gonna happen. And asuka is showing a new side, which is really intriguing.

So, is the Osaka show worth the watch match-wise? I'm pretty full this week and don't know if I wanna make time for a house show.
-
Great show! How was the crowd reaction for the welters going out last? I hope a kind of positive shock.
