Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
SirEdger replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
If you have the Fight Network in Canada, those retro shows are on the Tuesday night wrestling block they have (I believe Impact in 60 is at 6 PM, with Impact from 8 to 10. Then they got Ring of Honor TV, an hour of British Wrestling at 11 PM and in the graveyard slots, you got Unfinished Business, Legends and Greatest Matches - often replayed on the Wednesday afternoons). -
I've seen them maybe twice (including once where they sadly squash my boys Ever-Rise) but we're far from the prototypical disasters like the Great Khali. Like @sek69 said, there's a SST feel to this team that I didn't expect at first and with Malcom Bivens as their manager, sky's the limit for them.

For Impact Wrestling, The North have been the MVPs of this pandemic era. Their chemistry on-screen is absolutely phenomenal with Josh Alexander being a great straight-man with Ethan Page's antics. As for Ace Austin, he's on his way to be top heel in the promotion, something I thought would always belong to Sami Callihan until he left the promotion. I'm fully expecting Slammiversary to be Ace Austin's coronation in that position. Plus, he's still very young and hasn't even reached his peak.

They counted the first positive test with the "on-screen talent" at the very beginning.

Sammy's too busy trying to get a date with Victoria Justice (although she DID respond to him with an Instagram post, I believe).
-
Look, it's possible that they have upgraded their policies since then. Tom didn't tell me when was that conference call with Cody so it's very possible that they decided to go forward with COVID testing every week, considering that their chief doc Michael Sampson always has a mask on on-screen.
-
Actually, I enquired myself to Tom Colohue about that. He told me that per a conference call with Cody, AEW does NOT currently test for COVID but they have measures already in place as soon as a talent or staff member does. I know though that people are usually separated backstage and they wear masks until they go on camera.

As far as I remember, Cody said Ogogo was pretty much one of his & Tony Khan's pet project in terms of training and development and I don't recall them setting a specific date for an Ogogo debut. But Jericho mentioned on a recent TIJ podcast that Ogogo was one of the names thrown around for the Inner Circle but he opted for Jake Hager in his muscle role instead of Ogogo.

I thought everyone was tested before each taping session in AEW? Or was it strictly temperature monitoring?
-
Oh yeah, you're right, it returns tonight. Meanwhile, i'll be watching random Kendo Kashin & Minoru Tanaka matches. Hell, if I can find the match they had together at Wrestling Dontaku 2001, I'll even watch that!

Aaaah, gotcha

Pending legal action? What happened since I left the game? :p

Tamina's not on the card, buddy. She's probably practicing that British accent in a straitjacket somewhere.
-
Yes, I remember reading that but Vince wanted to give Aleister more time to get over. I don't think Aleister will suffer too much with Heyman being gone. We should already have a pretty good indication tomorrow of what direction Bruce Prichard will go.

Absolutely sold for Outback Mayhem. Martel vs Muta will steal the show, I can feel it!

This match might be WWE's MOTY period, this year. TV, PPV, name it. It had that ROH 2004-2005 vibe that I so enjoyed.
-
So can we use the X-Games kind of stuff with wrestlers the likes of Fenix who does all kinds of flippy stuff and parkour?
-
This is gonna be excruciating going forward. No doubt that Vince and Heyman had a big argument over something (someone) to explain that.

Also, didn't Shawn pretty much replace Terry Taylor in his position in NXT?
