  1. Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling picks the tag team of the Kansas Jayhawks, Bobby Jaggers and Dutch Mantell and will drop out.
  2. Yeah, that US expansion is such a headscratcher so far.
  3. Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling picks Kamala
  4. The 3rd woman in the babyface team was Ashley Vox. You missed the Royce Isaacs promo debuting his valet Mae Valentine and the "match" with James Storm. Kinda dig that version of Royce Isaacs as he feels bland in the Wild Cards with Thomas Lattimer but I thought he really killed it in that segment.
  5. Sorry for the hold-up again. MACW picks Randy Rose
  6. Unless I'm mistaken, this might be Austin Theory's first official TV appearance as an NXT member.
  7. Sorry for the hold up. Picking Steve Doll.
  8. Update: I will skip right away to the New Year's Eve Bash card for December 31st. Before each match, I will do a little write-up of how we got there, so I can start fresh with the new roster following the draft. I will also rebrand the promotion Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and I'll wait for the redesign of the map to see which states I will add to my current coverage.
  9. Atlantic Coast will pick Ole & Arn Anderson for rounds 1 & 2.
  10. Definitely is a start!
  11. Considering watching Habs vs Jets myself.
  12. Your French is excellent. Also, in Quebec, "nono" also means dumb.

    WWE Hidden Gems

In Canada, we used to have WWE Vintage and NXT on SN360 on Friday nights. Those were the days, man.

    Worst than 1995?
  15. BTW, the Creeper responsible for the now infamous sloppy punches GIF on Dynamite is Arik Cannon. He came forward and owned up to it, saying that Dustin Rhodes was bleeding and he was trying to protect him.

    AEW Dark Megathread

Depends on the part of Canada he rides through!
  17. I guess it depends on what happens in the next couple of weeks. Way too soon to hit the panic button. They only have a few months of existence.
  18. In this case, I think the Elite are in a Catch-22; here they are, using their name and recognition to put other acts over and build them as credible threats. But if The Elite guys have gold around their waist, then people will remind others that they're management and EVPs of the promotion so they'll be criticized again. For me, I don't question the post-main event segment itself as much as it is the placement. This is something that I would've put at the top of the 2nd hour rather than the main event. They could've finished with either Jericho vs Jungle Boy (finishing with Jericho reacknowledging the invite to Mox to join The Inner Circle on New Year's Day would've been the perfect cliffhanger) or they could've finished with Britt Baker vs Kris Statlander. Even if we question the Nightmare Collective, the visual of Brandi stabbing Statlander in the eye with the heel of her shoe would've been enough drama, knowing that Statlander wrestles Riho on New Year's Day to make you question the result of that match. For me, the final moments of the show last night isn't necessarily about The Dark Order beating up The Elite as much as it is where was Hangman Page through the whole thing. Perhaps, it's gonna end up with Page being recruited by Dark Order and being a big gun or something. But as much as I root for The Dark Order, I wanna see someone of significance by their side to validate their cause.
  19. So basically, what you're saying is that it could come down to which promotion between ROH and AEW could allow him to work New Japan more easily. Obviously, the ROH/NJPW working relationship could be an advantage for ROH but considering how NJPW seems to be slowly distancing themselves from ROH, not sure it's the case anymore. And Jon Moxley is proof you can work both AEW and NJPW. For all we know, Marty could prioritize Japan, first and foremost, which I see as a very plausible possibility.
  20. I think that's the general sentiment, historically, @rovert has been pretty accurate with that stuff but it goes beyond our comprehension as to why Marty wouldn't take the opportunity to test the market, now that his value is probably at its peak so far.
  21. For me, as I look back at the McMahon mocking Corbin on RAW that night, it clearly looked to me it was just playing to the "The fans are now the authority" mentality that they (falsely) pushed forward. Became quite evident that McMahon never meant what he said that night because why would Corbin be pushed again if he truly thought he was the reason for the atrocious RAW ratings during his Constable days.
  22. Yeah, the beginning was really random with Spears attacking Janela backstage on Dark and then, there was Spears illegally eliminating Janela from the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal and that's pretty much what explained Janela's action. Honestly, it's that one angle on AEW right now that I'm really not sure how it benefits anyone involved. I feel at this point like Tully would be better off managing someone more badass. Hell, if Wardlow wasn't MJF's bodyguard, I would've booked Tully as MJF's manager.
  23. But for some reason, Vince seems to be enamored with him. At what point does FOX step in and tell Vince to get his shit together?
  24. I'm not saying you're wrong. Looks more and more like you're right. It just feels surreal to me, that's all. He had been such an intrical part of the Elite during their say in ROH/NJPW that I was convinced he would join them once he had the opportunity. Especially with everything that happened surrounding Joey Mercury and Kelly Klein. I would've expected him to stick around with ROH if there was some changes in management.
  25. I know that rovert is adamant he's sticking with ROH but something just tells me that he's gonna end up in AEW anyway. And I don't think it's gonna necessarily come down to a money thing. I know that Tony Khan had buyer's remorse recently but it'd be insane to assume that there's zero interest on their part for Marty Scurll
