  1. Events for June 15th, 16th & 17th, 1984 Atlantic Coast Championship Wrestling TV, June 15th, 1984 - shortened 30 minute episode Sportatorium, Tampa, FL -Most of the show was built around tonight's show at the Fort Homer W. Hestorly Armory in Tampa with the dual Battle Royals in which the winner will receive $100,000. The House of Humperdink cut a promo after interrupting a scheduled match between Johnny Mantell and John Bonello. Kevin Sullivan, The Great Kabuki & TV champion Purple Haze take turns beating up the poor 2 men. Kevin Sullivan: "Now that Eddie Graham has lost control of his own territory, this means more than ever that we can do whatever we want, whenever we want. We don't care if Gino Hernandez is pulling the strings; the likes of Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat and Paul Orndorff can't stop us. And I'm not even talking about Greg Valentine. There won't be anybody that can match us and win the battle royal tonight. Just imagine how more powerful we can be with $100,000, Bob Caaaaaaaaaaudle!" One half of the Atlantic Coast Tag Team Champions Bill White came out and confronted Sullivan, saying that as long as there are people like the House of Humperdink in the territory, there'll be many people like him standing up to them. White is answered by Kabuki spitting green mist in White's face and grabbing his tag title belt. Johnny Weaver comes out and he's followed by Boomer Lynch. Bob Caudle seems to be surprised by Boomer Lynch's appearance and when asked if he's here in solidarity with the tag champs, Lynch's response is clear: "I couldn't care less about Bill White & Johnny Weaver. I'm here because Purple Haze is the one holding the TV title and I'll be damned if I'm not taking it sooner, rather than later." Soon, the foundation is built for our feature match this week but Kevin Sullivan notices that with White being out of commission, Weaver and Lynch seem to be one-man short until....what? KING KONG BUNDY? King Kong Bundy waltzes on the set to stand between Weaver/Lynch and the House of Humperdink. King Kong Bundy: " I heard there was a big battle royal tonight in Tampa so I decided to drive down here and show the world who's gonna win this whole thing. I don't care about any of you but I could use a little bit of warm-up!" -In the feature match, AWA Atlantic Coast Tag Team Champion Johnny Weaver, Boomer Lynch & King Kong Bundy beat The House of Humperdink (The Great Kabuki, Kevin Sullivan & Purple Haze, w/Fallen Angel & Sir Oliver Humperdink) after Bundy pins Kabuki following the Avalanche. *** June 15th, 1984 Fort Homer W. 2. I've watched last week's episode with MJF vs Davey Boy Smith Jr in the main event and as much as I like both guys, man, there was WAY TOO MANY interferences in that match, which completely killed the buzz for me. They could've easily cut that to 2 attempts of interference, leading to the run-ins by Brian Pillman Jr & Teddy Hart to neutralize The Dynasty. Looking forward to this weekend's show as I've heard nothing but good things about the Salina de la Renta produced show, although I'm a bit skeptical that MLW would part ways with either Sami Callihan or Mance Warner.

  4. It's safe to say that Wendell Cooley has really made the Mississippi title his own. The streak that he's been while fighting this title proves how much of a big deal that lower tier title has become for your territory!
  5. So, now the ongoing argument for WWE officials to talent in the company and specifically those looking to leave is pretty much confirming what we all thought the mentality has always been: "If you're not working for us, your jokes and your career will die." Looking at Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley and Cody......yeah, you might want to rethink that, Vin Man. It's gonna backfire spectacularly on WWE.
  6. There's so much irony in this tweet that I don't even know where to start.
  7. I bet Morton & Gibson are feeling lucky they came out of their match with Texas Red and the Spoiler in one piece.
  8. Smart move to have Andre appear on the Montreal Forum show. Definitely a ticket booster for that show.
  9. Atlantic Coast releases Gene Anderson
  10. Poor Glamour Boys will have nightmares about their matches with the Midnight Express. Seems like the Louisville Slugger always finds a different way to have his team win!

Boomer Lynch stuck around after his match and provided commentary with Tony Schiavone & Bob Caudle, mocking Rufus at every turn. After the match, Rufus confronted Boomer and told him that they're gonna settle this once and for all at the Armory here in Tampa! 6-Men Tag: The Soviet Soldiers (Khruscher Khruschev & Boris Zhukov) & The Great Kabuki (w/Sir Oliver Humperdink beat Don Kernodle, John Bonello & Bob Dellaserra. It pretty much turned into a 3-on-1 Handicap Match as Bonello & Dellaserra were taken out early by Khruschev & Zhukov. A triple team Russian Sickle gave the heels the victory. Before the show went off air, Schiavone & Caudle announce that a response from Greg Valentine is expected about Gino Hernandez' revelation from last week! **** June 8th, 1984 Fort Homer W. After the match, Valentine took his frustrations out on Mosca by putting him through 2 piledrivers while Gino & Prichard retreated to the back, avoiding the wrath of Valentine & Kernodle!
  12. Loved seeing a vintage Southern angle with Magnum TA taking place in the Northeastern area. Given Magnum's appeal, no wonder people in Maryland got angry at not seeing Magnum wrestle George Steele. Also, big fan of your heel Backlund!
  13. Imagine Tessa Blanchard having some killer matches with any of the top Stardom stars as well. Their PPV crowds are hot enough to really get into the Stardom girls.
  14. Talk about opportunism: as soon as the Freebirds are out of the territory, the Louisville Slugger capitalizes and has the Midnight Express win the tag team titles. I'm not even sure the Von Erichs can stop him now! Also love the addition of the Central States title. I think you can make a big deal out of this title and your roster has enough depth to make the inaugural champion unpredictable.
  15. I probably was as shocked to see Bad News Allen introducing Bobby Heenan as his manager here than I was when Andre showed up with Heenan on Piper's Pit a few weeks before Wrestlemania 3. Holy crap, the Spectacular will be awesome.

Certainly didn't see the Carl Fergie angle coming but that's pretty cool. Having him involved against Jerry Lawler makes him a big deal right away!
  17. Love the pairing of Super Ninja with Skandor Akbar. Very intrigued to see what you got planned for him.
  18. Apparently, the Saudis refused to have Nattie and Alexa wrestle on the show.
  19. A bit related to Dark Side of the Ring; has anyone seen that interview from Black Bart about the last days of Kerry Von Erich? Let's say that it doesn't exactly put Fritz in a flattering light at all. https://lordsofpain.net/black-bart-reveals-shocking-details-about-kerry-von-erich-death/
  20. I hope to see Mad Dog Lefebvre getting a strong push here. Another guy that we lost too soon. On the verge of becoming a mega star in the Lutte Internationale territory when he died.
  21. Nope. But if they do, that's gonna be probably tonight.
  22. Chris Adams is slowly but surely making a case to become Pacific Heavyweight Champion here. He's been racking up big wins lately.
  23. Horrible to hear. Great worker and I'm sure, a devastating loss to All Japan and puro in its whole.
  24. Stephanie always answered to Vince, even when she was in Creative. In the end, that's Vince's fault, not hers.
  25. It's probably the worst time for ROH to get that kind of incident come out publicly, considering all the buzz around AEW and all many wish to see a partnership between AEW and NJPW. I got no idea what exactly happened but if what I read here is true, that fan definitely has a case to sue Sinclair and ROH.
