Man, tonight, I think Bayley got her hottest pop since her main roster debut when she attacked Sasha Banks after the 6-women tag. The "mandatory counseling" part for next week screams Wrestlecrap material though.

Even then, it can be so random. Sometimes, I type https://forums.prowrestlingonly.com and it works, sometimes it doesn't. I thought it might be my old PC that I use sometimes but even with my laptop which is up-to-date on everything, I also have that problem. I hope everything gets stable soon because that doesn't help my extremely crabby mood today.
-
Don't worry, you're not the only one having issues logging in. It's like I can only have access to it randomly since Saturday. Sometimes, it's just the website, sometimes just the board, sometimes none of them, rarely both.

No problem!

That was a real treat for me because I'm not too familiar with that period of time in the career of the British Bulldogs. I knew that they quit WWE shortly following Summerslam in 88 (and the Dynamite Kid-Jacques Rougeau incident) but I wasn't sure of when they had gone to Japan. Also my first real shot at seeing Joe Malenko, other than that time they were involved in that special tournament in WCW in 1991(?) at Starrcade. Really good pace in that match and some very cool sequences. There's one in particular between Dynamite Kid and Joe Malenko where Joe locks in a Full Nelson and Dynamite breaks it, drops down but Joe picks him right back up by the legs and locks the Full Nelson back again. On a sidenote, it's always known to everyone how much Chris Benoit emulated Dynamite Kid in his style but it struck me so much in this one just by actually watching Dynamite Kid wrestle for the first time in so long. The repertoire, the selling, the facial expressions.....Benoit was a carbon copy of Dynamite Kid in so many ways...Anyway, I think this is a very good introduction to not only the Malenkos as a duo but also that time period when the Bulldogs worked in Japan. Really recommended.

Can't wait for the debut of the Stampede Rush! The visual of Sam Houston stepping over JJ Dillon was hilarious.

Is it normal that I appeared to be logged in in certain subforums and not in others? For instance, I'm logged in the Armchair Booking section but when I go on the Pro Wrestling section, I appear to be logged out.

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling TV LIVE! June 21st, 1986 CNE Coliseum, Toronto, ON Quick and dirty recap -The show starts with an interview at the broadcast booth with Rick Martel. Guy Hauray & Édouard Carpentier announce that they received a statement earlier this week made by NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nikita Koloff saying that he wants the complete elimination of Rick Martel and thus, not only his uncle Ivan Koloff will be at Heatstroke next week but Nikita specifically enlisted WWC Universal Champion Abdullah the Butcher to get the job done! Rick Martel says some people might call him insane to not take time off but this isn't in his DNA. He doesn't fear the Koloffs nor does he fear Abdullah. Martel says he will face Abdullah and beat the Koloffs at their own game. Martel says it'd be also sweet to take away the WWC Universal title from Abdullah and that's a promise he makes to his fellow Quebecers. No matter how bruised and battered he is, he wants to finish this once and for all! -Jeff Sword beats Pirata Morgan in :33 after a flash roll-up! Postmatch, MS-1 and Pirata Morgan both attack Jeff Sword and destroy him. Los Infernales go to the broadcast booth and MS-1 reminds the viewers that he recently won a battle royal to earn a title shot. MS-1 says he's cashing that opportunity in July 6th in North Battleford, SK against Don Kernodle! -Stan Lane of the Fabulous Ones beat NWA Canadian International Tag Team Champion The Great Samu (w/Paul E. Dangerously in a neck brace) in 10:02. The broadcast team mentions how much of a roll the Fabulous Ones have been in their recent visits to Lutte Internationale. After the match, Stan Lane heads to the broadcast booth and mentions that apparently Lutte is doing another US doubleheader during the month of July and he says the Fabulous Ones wants their shot at the gold. Stan Lane looks at Paul E and tells him that if his savages can understand English, to tell them that they're officially challenged on July 12 in Buffalo to a Canadian International Tag Team Championship. Paul E doesn't waste any time accepting the challenge! But the broadcast team wonders how much this will throw off the Samoan SWAT Team with Fatu facing Raymond Rougeau in the main event tonight while Kokina Maximus still is embroiled with One Man Gang! -"Nightmare" Ken Wayne (w/Floyd Creatchman) beat Bob Backlund in 15:10 after the illegal switch with Danny Davis takes place allowing the small package. Floyd Creatchman seems to enjoy some great success with his revamped Creatchman Family lately and it might not fall under NWA President Bob Geigel's radar... -Al Madril beat One Man Gang (w/Floyd Creatchman) by disqualification in 2:32 after the Gang refused to listen to referee Luigi Macera's orders in the corner. One Man Gang doesn't care and continues to work on Madril until Kokina shows up with Paul E! Kokina squash BOTH Gang and Madril in the corner and Madril collapses outside the ring. Kokina works a bit on Gang until Floyd Creatchman and the Nightmares are able to retrieve the Gang from outside the ring! -Mark Youngblood beat Tommy Lane in 5:52 -A vignette of another Japanese star Hiro Saito is shown. Just like Tatsutoshi Goto, it's announced that Hiro Saito will be at Heatstroke in Saint-Wenceslas, QC but he will debut the night before in Rivière-du-Loup, QC against Goto's opponent at Heatstroke, Gino Brito. Saito will wrestle Brian Adias at Heatstroke. -In his final TV appearance for Lutte Internationale, NWA World Light Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit beat NWA US Tag Team Champion Rocky Johnson in 14:11 with the Diving Headbutt. Benoit is confirmed to wrestle Gilles Poisson at Heatstroke. Both men actually cross paths after the match as Gilles Poisson comes out for his scheduled match. Benoit and Poisson exchange looks but no physicality....yet. -Gilles "The Fish" Poisson beat Bruce Hart in 12:57 with a piledriver. After the match, Poisson goes to the broadcast booth and says that he'll make sure that he spoils Benoit's last moments in Lutte Internationale when he beats him at Heatstroke. Afterwards, then, the focus will be back on him. -Before the main event, Guy Hauray & Édouard Carpentier announce that officially 3 title matches will headline Heatstroke next week: first, the NWA Canadian International TV Championship match between Matt Borne and Jim Brunzell. Then, a National Heavyweight Championship match between Jimmy Snuka and the winner of a best 2 out of 3 Falls Match the night before between Richard "Le Magnifique" Charland and Art Crews of the Agency. And finally, it's been made official that Abdullah the Butcher will put the WWC Universal Championship on the line against Rick Martel at Heatstroke. It's also announced that "Hotstuff" Eddie Gilbert will wrestle at Heatstroke as well. -In the main event, NWA Canadian International Tag Team Champion Prince Alofa Fatu (w/Paul E. Dangerously) beat Raymond Rougeau in 15:28 with a top rope splash. After the match, Stan Lane shows up at the broadcast booth to taunt Fatu & Paul E but The Great Samu quickly shows up, along with Kokina Maximus to gain the strength-in-numbers. The show ends with Stan Lane motioning that the tag team titles will soon belong to he and Steve Keirn! À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT! -

What a triumphant return for JYD in the UWF! All is now right in the world in the Mid-South area. And I must say that despite their recent shortcomings, I definitely think you stumbled upon something with the combination of Brad Armstrong & Jeff Jarrett. It's just a perfect match for me and I hope you stay the course with them as long as you can!

What a huge opportunity for Austin Idol against Nikita Koloff but I bet Nikita will have some tricks down his sleeve. Idol better be ready!

I often saw that Bam Bam Bigelow was the most agile big man in wrestling history but I'd make the argument that Vader was. I don't know a whole lot of 400 lbs guys who could do a moonsault like Vader did. Arguably the top heel in WCW in the mid-90s and I often get so mad to see that WWF completely screwed him up after his program with Shawn Michaels. Vader should've had beaten HBK for the title at Summerslam and run with it, even if it meant for Shawn to regain it. What saddens me the most is that Vader wanted a HOF induction so bad while he could still attend it and he never got his wish to come true. RIP Vader.

I'd be tempted to say that Beautiful Bobby will win the TV title tournament but I can't bet against Brad Armstrong either!

Yeah, I'll take care of that.

Interesting. I had only heard about the British version of Kendo Nagasaki (the Japanese version wrestled frequently in Lutte Internationale when I was a kid) so might be worth taking a look! -

That cliffhanger with the Midnight Rider though! Honestly, this is why I also loved IRL the Mr. America angle they did with Hogan; just like everyone knew for Dusty and the Midnight Rider, everyone knew about Hogan being Mr. America and we still tuned in every week to see the heels try their damndest to prove it. Possibly the biggest TV for World Class yet. The Freebirds are in deep trouble now! -
You're good to go!
