Mark Youngblood is definitely on a roll ever since he's focused on singles competition. Like it or not, he's been able to clinch some serious wins lately. He could easily contend for Paul Orndorff and now Tommy Rich's titles. Speaking of Orndorff & Rich, huge win for them in the main event. But I'm mostly glad to see Tom Prichard being featured in that main event. He's been such a gem in Mid-Atlantic. Probably the most underrated worker on your roster.

World Class Championship Wrestling: June 1986

As much as The Freebirds realized a big coup by claiming that bounty on Dusty, they might've done this all for nothing if Fritz is able to enforce that fine. But most importantly, Dusty won't go that down that easily. With all the friends he has in the business and the NWA, the Freebirds are marked men! Nice to see the Revolution making waves already in World Class. There'll be a force to be reckoned with. And now, I'm really curious what this match during World Class' Bash stop will be! -
St. Clair & Singh clearly can't help but beat each other senseless as it was the theme of the night here! Great National title match as well with the double countout finish between Snuka and Haku/King Tonga! I bet that Skandor Akbar will ask for another match for Haku against the Superfly! And of course, excellent main event with the 6-Men Tag. Let's see how Dibiase and his crew will bounce back from this.

Haven't had the chance to comment yet on this latest string of shows but everything is going full cylinder for some huge cards. The Horsemen have a huge opportunity to make a statement both at SNME IX and at Showdown at Shea Stadium. I don't expect Ric Flair to lose the title to Wahoo at SNME (who'd ever thought we would actually read Wahoo, Flair & SNME in the same sentence!) however, I'm not counting Curt Hennig out in the TV title tournament against Tully Blanchard. I just think Hennig is such on a role that he can't be stopped. But Windham vs Savage at Shea is a potential MOTYC!

I think it's all about having the right pieces at the right time. Perhaps at the time, you didn't have the right pieces to make Kevin Sullivan work the way you wished it would work. rain was successful taking the Varsity Club approach at first, rather than using the stuff he did in Florida.

If you wanna keep it kayfabe, then yeah, Karen War Cloud -
HOW....WHA....THA....I MEAN.... No, seriously, great main event and I really didn't see Tommy Rich answering The Agency's open challenge coming. Rich will be a fantastic TV champion. And I'm legit more pumped up for Snuka vs Haku than Snuka vs Brody. This is gonna be BRUTALLY AWESOME.

The WWA title tournament is really tough to predict here as you got all 8 women who could legitimately win the whole thing. I think Lioness Asuka vs Sherri Martel will probably be the best match of the 1st round. I don't know the exact brackets of the tournament but I predict a Lioness Asuka vs Monster Ripper final! Did I say that Jumping Bomb Angels vs Glamour Girls will steal the show?

Actually, for that segment with Sunny War Cloud & Brian Adias, I've inspired myself from some real life stuff. Sunny's RL girlfriend is named Karen and they had a couple of children together, including a few that got involved in the Quebec indy wrestling scene over the years. She's only here to further the angle I got going with Sunny & Adias. Don't expect her to be a regular or even recurring character -

Lutte would like to sign Hiro Saito.

Indeed you do. If there's a roster in which you can learn a bunch from if you're a rookie, it's the AWA roster!

This is awesome news and like everyone here, I'm fully rooting for this to succeed. Should you eventually reach the level of success allowing you to hire paid writers, this is something that I would definitely like to give a try at some point. But, baby steps first. I can't wait for the launch!

Well, I know who to blame now for being late in my posting schedule! Just kidding, of course, rain. It happens to everyone. If someone can afford to get some breathing room, it's you, my man.

Lutte will certainly keep an eye on the GAEA shows for sure. Jumping Bomb Angels vs Glamour Girls will steal the show!

Really fun 8-Men Tag to close the show. It was great to see some other guys being featured in that spot. That 6-Men Tag next week will be insane!
-
Perfect fit to put Adrian Adonis with Adrian Street. This is gonna be fun! And I got a big kick out of Missy Hyatt's opening line in her promo!

[1987-03-29-WWF-Wrestlemania III] Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat
SirEdger replied to Superstar Sleeze's topic in March 1987
Of course, for me, Savage vs Steamboat is my masterpiece as a wrestling fan; probably the greatest match I've ever seen in my life. So many layers in the storytelling throughout the entire match (and the feud in general) with everyone playing their part to perfection. I always thought that the addition of George Steele in the match being Steamboat's second was a nice way to tie-in Savage's match from the year before (he defended the IC title against George Steele at Wrestlemania 2 in the New York part of the show) so everything that he does during the whole feud - most notably, kidnapping Liz on SNME) makes sense. We can look at many matches that are considered epic and pieces of anthology and find over the years that they didn't necessarily age as well as we originally thought but Savage vs Steamboat will forever be the measuring stick for any wrestler trying to emulate that level of performance. This is the match that defined the Intercontinental Championship as the "workrate title", if I could use the expression. And we only have to look over the years at the list of guys to hold this championship: Curt Hennig, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels. The current champ Seth Rollins also fits that category. To me, this match changed everything for the Intercontinental Championship. A definite ***** match in my book. -
I'm jumping back in.
