I'm trying to find the accurate words to what I just saw and I could only describe this as a somewhat tentative American version of a DDT match. Nonetheless, I'll always give credit to someone actually training and take bumps like Chris Gethard did like for Rhyno's Gore. Also will have to give credit to that Vacation Jason for pulling every dirty heel trick in the book, which was awesome to see. Intended for a good laugh and nothing else.

Well, let's say that Frank Valois and company can have some pretty good incentives for making stuff like this happening. For instance, there's a hilarious story in the Mad Dogs, Midgets and Screwjobs book about how some promoters worked around Abdullah's refusal to job in some situations, including Gary Hart & Bert Ruby in Detroit.

For the pictures, it depends on the pictures it seems. I'm having trouble sometimes finding the right ones I can put in my title histories. Nonetheless, what a great Wrestlemania. Undoubtedly Barry Windham's greatest singles win of his career over Randy Savage. It's gonna be hard to take the IC title away from him.

Word going around is that Adrian Adonis is "completely distraught" over this loss to Matt Borne. Paul E completely lost track of him and he berated the Nasty Boys afterwards.

I was told a few times that El Samurai had a fantastic 1997 but for me, the highlight of this match was Shinjiro Otani. Throughout the match, he displays so much emotion after every nearfall, like he's desperate to get that pinfall and capture the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. I also believe that El Samurai was J-Crown champion entering this match but I can't confirm 100%. Nonetheless, really good match with a great pace and both men showing great chemistry.

I've always preferred listening to the Japanese commentary anyway (I don't speak a lick of Japanese, btw), but I'm all about commentators from yesteryear who were prone to over-excitement or hyperbole making a comeback in 2018 by just chilling and calling the action straight. Tony Schiavone was on the MLW show I watched recently and I had no idea he was doing pro-wrestling commentary these days, but there was something about him being there that just felt RIGHT. I'll absolutely check out more MLW this year and it honestly has a lot to do with Schiavone calling things. Well, you're gonna be happy because Tony Schiavone is sticking around with MLW. He'll be on commentary for their new TV series with beIN Sports starting in a couple of weeks.

Oh, dawho, I think you're gonna like this one! Pretty much the match that put both guys on the map on the Quebec indy scene!

NWA Lutte Internationale TV March 29th, 1986 CNE Coliseum, Toronto, ON Quick and dirty results, 1-hr edition Guy Hauray and Édouard Carpentier announce that only one match is scheduled this week as the Creatchman Family take on the Nightmares. Time permitting, Susan Star will square off with Penny Mitchell in singles ladies' action -The Creatchman Family (The Great Samu & Prince Alofa Fatu, w/Floyd Creatchman) beat The Nightmares in 43:33 when Samu pinned Ken Wayne with a top rope splash. During the match, Paul E. Dangerously came out to scout the match, which drew the attention of Floyd Creatchman. Floyd and Paul E got into a verbal confrontation but eventually Paul E left. Looks like Paul was still tempting to forge an alliance with the Creatchmans.... -Susan Star beat Penny Mitchell in 15:14 À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT!

I love seeing Dick Slater being paired with the Midnight Express. That gives Cornette a heavy hitter to make him do his dirty work and protect the Midnight Express!

While tomorrow's live TV comes from Toronto, MS-1's title shot is scheduled in a couple of weeks. And he might not be the only one on that day. #teaser

Excellent main event between Owen and Jacques. Santana coming through for Jacques to prevent Owen from stealing the title from him!

Hmmm....I wonder who's gonna win that Wild West Wrestling title tournament. I'd go with Mr. Wrestling 2!

No problem. He's yours.

I'll take this week off as my workload has picked up a bit. I'll try to review the match HeadCheese gave to me last week. I'll jump back in ASAP.
-
Very smart for you to use Pillman in that main event in Calgary given the circumstances. Fully aware of the backstory between Pillman and the city of Calgary secured you a crowd pleaser in the end.
-
Wow, that's one stunning upset for Wendell Cooley! But given everything going on behind the scenes with the Horsemen, I wonder if this booking was a direct result of that.

Nice turn of events with Terry Funk finding a loophole to be at ringside. Very thrilled to see the Funks & Gary Hart getting that much momentum in Dallas! -
Wow, some interesting developments in Wheeling with Tully no-showing his match with Jacques Rougeau. Pretty neat main event between Ric Flair and Kevin Von Erich as well! The next few days will be very interesting!
-
Certainly, Harley vs Orndorff fighting over the Mid-Atlantic title makes a really good card seller for your upcoming shows. You can easily insert that in the main event slot and fans will go home happy.

Rick Martel & Jerry Lawler....a dream team if there ever was one! -
That's an excellent tag tean name suggestion. Sure gonna keep that in mind. As for the trivia, interesting. While I was googling around for a special location for that show, I stumbled upon Hemlock Valley Resort but I didn't know about the name change.

I've only seen very few stuff from Misawa/Kobashi/Kawada to truly judge if he's on their level.
