    Mauro and JBL

Thanks for the tip. I was always curious about who those guys were and why they didn't pop up anywhere else and then, I find out it was Gabe all along lol
  5. I understand why you put the Rock N' Roll Express in the dark match but I can't help to think that they would've made for an awesome special attraction in that card
  6. The Guerreros are on Lutte's trading block. Listening to all offers.
  7. Lutte releases Dory Funk Jr & The Spoiler
  8. I don't know why anyone keeps trying entering a battle royal with Andre in it. They know the outcome!

  11. I think it's fair enough for everyone!
  12. Lutte Internationale News -Many headlines coming out of the Heatwave event held on August 17 at the Centre Paul-Sauvé in Montreal. Notably, the official kickoff of the feud between Rick Martel and NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair. The feud is scheduled to last through the duration of 1985 with its conclusion possibly at Starrcade '85. It's said that both Mid-Atlantic & Lutte Interntionale are looking to add a little twist to the feud to keep fans' attention in both territories. -Jacques Rougeau came out victorious of the tournament to crown a new NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Champion, following Andre the Giant vacating the title due to his freelance commitments. No definite plans as to who Jacques' first major contender for the title will be but the names of Alexis Smirnoff and Bob Backlund has been discussed among others. It's not impossible that Lutte could go all the way to Mid-Atlantic to find Jacques' contender. As of right now, Jacques is expected to be the champion come Starrcade and he'll be defending the title there. It's interesting to note that Raymond is the only Rougeau without a title at the moment (Armand is the current Quebec Heavyweight Champion) and this could come into play down the road.... -The Midnight Rockers have regained their NWA Canadian International Tag Team Championship by defeating the Vachons the night after Heatwave but as of this moment, nothing could be more unsure about their future. Despite all of their good words when they came back, it seems like the Rockers' party habits are hard to kick out and it could eventually cost them the titles. We know right now that the Vachons are scheduled for a rematch on September 8 in Trois-Rivières. If things don't change, expect another title change and it might be the last time the Rockers touch gold in Lutte. -Following the success of the pre-Bash tour earlier this summer, Lutte Internationale is doing it again and is going on a US loop at the end of September. The first stop of the tour will be Southfield, MI on Friday September 27th. On Saturday September 28, Lutte will hold their event in Jupiter, FL and will conclude that loop in Jackson, MS the following night on Sunday September 29. The dates in Jupiter & Jackson will be co-promoted in association with Continental Championship Wrestling. It's an interesting turn of events, considering new majority owner Fritz Von Erich' desire to move away from Florida but it might seem like Fritz is seeing as a good opportunity for Continental to shine on those nights. We can confirm that the invitation has been extended to Continental by Frank Valois to send some talents for their first October loops in Toronto, Calgary & Edmonton. -As announced in the previous report, Lutte is going forward with the resurrection of the NWA Women's World Championship and the plan still is to crown a new champion around Starrcade. However, for the moment, they chose not to feature the women on TV yet and they'll wait for the crowd's responses for the first shows in September. The first official women's match is scheduled for September 13 in Sudbury and expect Luna Vachon to be heavily featured in that first loop. -Abdullah the Butcher, Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen are expected to work the territory on a more regular basis. They'll be treated as special attractions but there has been talk of making Abdullah part of the Creatchman Family in some capacity. -Finally, there are still some shuffling on the way, mainly in the midcard & tag team division. Expect some unusual names to show up in the territory.

  14. NWA Lutte Internationale TV Taped at CHLT-TV Studios, Sherbrooke, QC Broadcasted on August 31st, 1985 Another crazy week, another show in form of recap. Will return to the full format ASAP! -To start this week's show, a recap from last week's events as Rick Martel went crazy, looking to avenge Frenchy's Legion's betrayal at his expense at Heatwave. Guy Hauray & Édouard Carpentier mention that Rick Martel is scheduled to be here this week and no one knows in what state of mind he currently is but we might learn sooner rather than later -In the opening match, the Bolshevik Revolution of Boris Zhukov & Baron Von Raschke squashed the tandem of Morton Easton & Tristram Cullen in quick fashion. But shortly afterwards, Rick Martel rushed the ring, chair in hand and attacked both Zhukov & Von Raschke. Von Raschke was able to escape rather quickly but Martel locked in the Boston Crab on Zhukov and refused to let go until Bruno Sammartino and a slew of referees arrived. Bruno told Martel afterwards that he cannot do this every week and he'll have to suspend him if he has to. Martel tells Bruno that what he wants is Ric Flair and until he can make sure with the NWA Board of Directors that he's gonna have a shot at Ric Flair, he'll stop. If he has to travel to Mid-Atlantic to get his hands on Ric Flair and anyone of his associates, he'll do it. -Dory Funk Jr fought Strong Machine #3 to a double DQ after things got out of hand with the involvement of Super Strong Machine & Strong Machine #2 who destroyed Dory with a Machine DDT. Afterwards, Super Strong Machine gave a note to the broadcast team saying that he has accomplished his mission to prove that Japanese wrestlers are superior to North American wrestlers by defeating Gino Brito to win the NWA Canadian International TV Championship. In order to truly make it an International title, he'll bring it back with him to Japan and forever be the champion. -Up next, the entire Creatchman Family arrived on set for an interview. Eddy "the Brain" Creatchman of course gloated about the superiority of his NWA World Tag Team Champions and claims that Jacques Rougeau was lucky to have escaped as the NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Champion. Next time, Lord Humongous will take that title away from him. In the meantime, The Brain has an announcement to make. He starts by saying that he's very proud of his Creatchman Family as all of them have proven to be the most dangerous family in professional wrestling. The Brain wants to expand his family and not only on the wrestler's side but also from a managerial side. While he focuses on the careers of the Botswana Beast & Lord Humongous, Eddy tells The Great Samu & Prince Alofa Fatu that he's now searching for someone to assist him into guiding their careers in the right direction. Soon, the Creatchman Family will be even better than it already is! Next week, The Creatchman Family throws an open challenge to any tag team in the territory to try taking the NWA World Tag Team Titles away from them! -In this week's main event, "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal goes one-on-one with Alexis Smirnoff. Smirnoff is looking over his shoulder to make sure that Rick Martel isn't around like earlier in the show to attack him. Another big outing for Steve Regal, who continues to impress, taking Alexis Smirnoff to his limits. But in the end, Smirnoff takes the victory away from Regal with a bearhug and Regal has no choice but to submit. As the show ends, we see D'Artagnan the Clown looking on, stoic but not moving.....What has he planned for Lutte Internationale? À LA SEMAINE PROCHAINE SI DIEU LE VEUT!
  15. No problem. Congrats to the Kiniski Brothers on winning the tournament!
  16. A bit kinda weird to see Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez on opposite sides, given their history together IRL as NWA World Tag Team Champs.
  17. August 30th, 1985 Calgary, AB -Magnum TA beat "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal in 17:22 -NWA Canadian International Tag Team Champion Marty Jannetty beat Mad Dog Lefebvre (w/Frenchy Martin) in 14:52 -Strong Machine 2 beat SMW's Billy Travis in 9:30 -The Spoiler beat Dory Funk Jr in 10:06. Postmatch, as The Spoiler celebrated, D'Artagnan the Clown stepped into the ring and extended his hand to The Spoiler to shake it. However, some kind of mist came out of the flower from D'Artagnan's jacket and blinded momentarily The Spoiler! D'Artagnan then hit a DDT on the Spoiler. Then, D'Artagnan took out from the back of his pants what at first looked like a fake nightstick but it's the real thing. D'Artagnan mercilessly clubbed Dory Funk Jr before being escorted out of the ring by security. The scariest thing about the whole situation; D'Artagnan always kept that blank sad stare in his face throughout the whole thing! -Richard "Le Magnifique" Charland defeated Ricky Santana in 7:41 -Gino Brito defeated Larry Zbyszko in 10:32 -Mando Guerrero beat Ivan Putski in 16:44 NWA Canadian International Heavyweight Championship: Jacques Rougeau beat Billy Robinson (w/Sherri Martel) in 18:17 to retain

  19. The bounty angle is probably your best one in the territory at the moment.
  20. Oh yeah, for sure Birmingham. I love that the Freebirds didn't deny or confirm anything lol
  21. Looking forward to the Badstreet Brawl!
  22. It seems like they're about to turn Braxton Sutter heel and split he & Allie up. Allie seems to be somewhat involved in the GFW Women's title picture as well.
  23. That second option would actually make sense.
  24. August 25th, 1985 Goodsoil, SK WRESTLING UNDER THE TENT!!! As expected, Lutte's resident clown D'Artagnan is in attendance, being his unfriendly self. This time, he stole cotton candy from a kid! -Mando Guerrero beat Gino Brito in 9:44 -SMW's Don Bass beat Rick Martel by DQ in 16:21 after Martel ignored the 5-count from referee Adrien Desbois.
