Yes and no. I agree that they put a lot of emphasis on Gargano in that package but considering the narrative throughout the entire night about him, it was much about what Grayson Waller did to him as well. So, I guess that package filled 2 purposes; one that is seemingly already successful and the other depends on what Gargano does next.

According to Fightful Select, Hook has spent a lot of time training at Create-A-Pro and QT Marshall recently prior to his debut. Fightful Select also reports that MJF helped out Hook a lot in the early moments of his training (MJF is a graduate of the Create-A-Pro wrestling school)

I think guys like Carmelo, Tony, Bron & the Creeds would've eventually found their way even in the "old" NXT format because you can't hide natural talents. They have it and sooner or later, people would've found out. But it's good to see that guys like Carmelo can kinda be the bridge between the Black & Gold era and this NXT 2.0 era where they didn't throw everything out of the window with Papa H's vision.

I think both Grimes & LA can fill those roles. They got the experience and the crowd connection to make things work in those positions. I'm a bit surprised that Grimes hasn't been considered for a callup yet, as I think he's the type of character that Vince would love to have on his show. Could they be prepping Jinny to take the spot of either Io or Raquel on the NXT brand after Mania? I wouldn't mind it at all.

So what you're saying is that it could be possible that in their latest contract offer, WWE might have offered Johnny a coaching spot at the WWE PC as he can transition out of active wrestling? Medical coverage could sure sweeten the pot for him and his family
