What a huge win for the Von Erich brothers. Certainly are riding high right now and it's gonna be awfully hard to take the title away from them. And yeah, I don't think this friendship with Piper & Flair will last much longer when the World title is around!

It was only a matter of time before Cody ended up alienated from the other EVPs. But man, didn't expect this to happen that fast.
-
Just saw that. Didn't expect to read this tonight. This sucks.

DraQe Wuertz striking again.

I guess maybe that the Aleister Black vignettes starting to air on Smackdown weren't coincidental, then. If they knew that Zelina was coming back, that means that there was a chance Aleister wouldn't bolt on them and stick around. Timing makes sense then.

Yeah, the guy who has WWF hasn't done anything since the start. I know that TTK has some health issues right now so he's currently inactive. Anyway, there would still be plenty of territories available for anyone new so you'll have something solid to start with. I'll reach out to @LowBlowPodcast tomorrow to let him know you want in

From what I've seen of your work so far, you're definitely more than able to fit in this. You're a natural!
-
They also announced the Young Bucks vs Varsity Blonds for the AEW World Tag Team Championship
-
Could be interesting, that's for sure. I think Mox & Kingston are more about messing with the Bucks than actually winning the titles

He's spicy and he tastes great!

Preparing myself to see Christopher Daniels for the last time in a ring. I won't lie, this stings a bit.
-
Of course, he skipped NXT last night for this kind of shit.
-
Speaking of Hit Row Records, Indi Wrestling seemingly wants to branch into music.
-
Not sure how this stipulation makes anyone look good, honestly. Especially not the NWA.
-
Eddie Kingston is the best freaking promo in professional wrestling. No one touches him right now.
-
Certainly a good fit for both. Giving more exposure to Julia Hart while it also gives Varsity Blonds an extra little something to their act!

AWA adds Brad Rheingans to the trade block

His knee seemed to have buckled while he landed. I also wonder if he might not have broke his tailbone in the process. Also, apparently, Velveteen Dream is backstage for tonight's show.

Some great stuff all around for TV and house shows! Loving to see those top babyfaces rotating to replace Wahoo. Also allows you to see what pairing can be good for Jimmy Snuka as well. That tag team division is loaded for sure. Gino & Tully got to keep an eye on Flair & Piper for those Mid-Atlantic titles!

AWA SUNDAY SHOWCASE #2 Taped April 25th, 1982 Airing May 2nd, 1983 CHICAGO, IL This episode features the aftermath of what went down in the first Sunday Showcase last week, with the main event being the Steel Cage Tag Match that wasn't shown last week. First, some exclusive footage of what went down during the Lumberjack Match between Greg Gagne and Motoshi Okuma. Towards the end of the match, there was a scuffle among the lumberjacks and during that scuffle, "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers attacked AWA Americas Champion Gino Brito with his own belt and Brito had to be escorted to the back to get medical attention. As a result of this incident, AWA President Stanley Blackburn, at the request of Brito, has sanctioned a match between Brito and Bobby Jaggers for the AWA Americas Championship on Saturday night, May 8th in Sioux City! Speaking of the event of May 8th, Mean Gene Okerlund has a special guest in Captain Redneck himself, Dick Murdoch! Mean Gene Okerlund: As announced by AWA President Stanley Blackburn, sanctioned for this Saturday night in Sioux City, the AWA Americas Championship will be defended by Gino Brito against "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers but one man who'll also be featured in that event and will make his official AWA debut, none other than my guest, Dick Murdoch. Dick, it will certainly be an eventful night as not only will we have the opportunity to see Andre the Giant in action on that night, but also, you my friend, will be squaring off against none other than Jerry Blackwell. Quite a tough task for you in your AWA debut. Dick Murdoch: It might be a tough task but I've seen hundreds of people like Jerry Blackwell trying me and being smartasses about it. You know how they all end up, Gene? Mean Gene: I have somewhat of an idea but go ahead... Dick Murdoch: They all ended up flat on their back. Anyone can talk a big game when they're standing up but once they're sleeping on the floor, they ain't so tough. Jerry Blackwell might be 400 lbs and all but he ain't intimidating me. I've been hearing some rumors that a few guys like Heenan or Lord Alfred Hayes or even Adnan are looking to secure the services of this man but I'm gonna spoil their fun and make sure that this big fat load of you know what ain't worth anything to them once I beat him Saturday night. I came here to the AWA because I want some gold around my waist and I'm gonna warn Verne Gagne right now: despite all the respect I have for ya, you got something that I want and I ain't gonna stop at anything to get it. Mean Gene: So, there you have it, this Saturday night in Sioux City, a clash of epic proportions between "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch and Jerry Blackwell! Before we go to the event, we have a bit of a sneak peek inside the locker room of Lord Alfred Hayes and his protégés, with Lord Alfred giving a pep talk to "Playboy" Buddy Rose, while King Kong Bundy and "Flamboyant" Eric Embry are standing next to Hayes. While we seemingly thought that Lord Alfred was also implying that either Bundy or Embry was Buddy Rose's tag partner, the camera entering the room realizes that it's Thunderbolt Patterson who will be Buddy Rose's partner! Lord Alfred mentions how impressed he was in that battle royal for the AWA Americas Championship and despite Patterson ultimately falling short to Gino Brito, he still judges him worthy enough of adding him to his stable. Hayes promises Patterson he will lead him to gold in the AWA, just like he will for the rest of his stable! Featured Exclusive Bout STEEL CAGE MATCH "Playboy" Buddy Rose & Thunderbolt Patterson (w/Lord Alfred Hayes) defeated Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson. Morton & Gibson showed great chemistry in there during the match with their quickness and double-team moves but it was too little too late for them as Buddy Rose pinned Gibson with a piledriver. After the match, Big Daddy Bundy entered the cage and threw Morton outside, locking the cage door from the inside. Bundy then proceeded to squash Gibson in the corner while Embry, Rose & Patterson forced Morton to watch Bundy completely squash Gibson. As the show is about to off the air, it is announced that on next week's Sunday Showcase, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan will reveal the newest addition to his Heenan Family! Who could it be?

AWA would like to book Andre the Giant for May 8th, please

Ben Carter is on the NXT UK brand, under a different name, I believe. I think he recently debuted. I actually like the idea of Salina being Jade's manager. The whole thing with Jade reminds me of when all WWF managers were all after Randy Savage when he debuted in the promotion only for him to bring his own manager in Miss Elizabeth. I feel it's the vibe they're aiming for with Jade. Salina coming in would get people talking.

I can't help but wonder if Pillman had been alive in 1998, that perhaps Vince would've maybe gone with Austin vs Pillman for the bulk of 1998. I still think the Mr. McMahon character would've been born but imagine McMahon being willing to associate himself with the Loose Cannon to get rid of Austin.
