Big bounce back for The Magnificent One. After losing to Backlund the night before, he captures the Intercontinental Championship. This should be a fantastic reign for him

Updated the list of free agents following our mini-draft. The additional free agents are at the bottom of the free agents list.

AWA LIVE @ MECCA Arena, Milwaukee, WI June 6th, 1981 "Playboy" Buddy Rose (subbing for Adrian Adonis) & Jesse Ventura beat Troy Martin & Jumbo Tsuruta -Up next, Jerry Blackwell makes his way to the ring when he's attacked by a swarm of individuals and not the least: Genichiro Tenryu, Masa Saito, Paul Jones & The Sawyers all jumped on Blackwell and are dragging him to the ring until Larry "The Ax" Hennig & AWA World Champion Verne Gagne run in to try making the save. But the numbers are still overwhelming as the bad guys still have the advantage. Looks like all hell is about to break loose until the Milwaukee crowd erupts when they see who is coming to clean house: IT'S HULK HOGAN! HULK HOGAN IS IN THE AWA! Hogan slides in the ring and starts pummeling everyone in his sights and the villains eventually powder out of the ring. As Hogan invite all the heels back in the ring, President Stanley Blackburn comes out and announces the following main event: The Sawyers, Tenryu & Saito vs Jerry Blackwell, Larry Hennig, AWA Champion Verne Gagne & Hulk Hogan....INSIDE A STEEL CAGE!!! Larry Zbyszko (w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) beat the debuting Bad News Allen Dick Murdoch beat Alexis Smirnoff (w/Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie) 8-Men Tag Team Steel Cage Match: Hulk Hogan, AWA World Champion Verne Gagne, Larry "The Ax" Hennig & Jerry Blackwell beat Genichiro Tenryu, Masa Saito & The Sawyers (w/Paul Jones) after Hogan pinned Buzz Sawyer with the Axe Bomber.

Tore his AC joint if I read correctly. However, he's gonna honor his dates with NJPW before officially retiring

I most definitely didn't see the Rick Martel heel turn coming at all. Interesting to say the least, at a time where IRL, Martel was the uberbabyface everywhere he worked.
-
Yes, that won't change, despite our mini draft we did. Will soon come back to you about a request to book Dusty in July but I still need to map the dates accordingly for that!

WWE TV 06/07 - 06/13 Boxing is just pro wrestling now

I'm an absolute sucker for this Dexter/Indi storyline. Everyone is playing their part so well in this. Indi is a gem to see evolve. Also pretty psyched to see a return of the Million Dollar Championship but am I the only one sensing a swerve that Ted Dibiase will introduce a 3rd man in this Ladder Match and will actually win it? -

You think this has anything to do with Daniel Bryan not renewing his contract? Could it be an indication that Bryan could show up somewhere else? -

In Quebec, we have a saying that goes like this (maybe @El-P is familiar with it): "Parlez-en en bien, parlez-en en mal mais parlez-en" - which roughly means that if you're talking about it, they got what they wanted out of it. Historically, Vince rids away angles that no one ever bothers to show their discontent about. So as long as people express their feelings about it, it's gonna stay. It might evolve, depending on crowd reactions but I don't see this character disappearing any time soon. -

You guys will be in for a major disapointment when Vince & Bruce will double down on it when the crowds return. Worst case scenario, they'll turn her heel and that's it. Worst case scenario for haters, they fast forward until the next segment. Problem solved. -

I guess that Mercedes bailing on Retribution was indeed the best thing she ever did. -
Giving you a heads-up, I'll process all the roster movements once we'll have completed our mini roster shakeup!

Comoroto looks like Bruiser Brody, Billy Jack Haynes and Hercules Hernandez all wrapped into one individual from a physical standpoint. I know we've been singing the praises of Wardlow as an underrated big man recently but I think we should keep an eye on Comoroto too because he looked really good vs Dustin on Friday.

And it looks like Kylie Rae has signed officially with the NWA. Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, NWA & Impact have been negotiating for a while about what to do with this situation (Kylie was still under contract with Impact) and it seems like they've worked something out in the past week.

The only thing that I would find "objectionable" was the part where he mentioned he wanted a stable with himself, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt & The Undertaker. That's straight up out of a WWE 2K game.
-
Stranger things have happened, honestly.
-
To be frank...why would people tune in if they know they're gonna get the rematch on the very next RAW? You should want the viewer to have a different and exciting viewing experience every week. They're not accomplishing that on RAW at the moment.
-
Found it interesting that he also mentioned that Bruce Prichard went to bat a lot for him, which seems to reinforce the notion that Vince wasn't as low on him as some dirtsheets have made it to be. Also sucks that we won't be able to hear that new theme song they had for him.

I wouldn't be even surprised if there were more cuts coming. I wouldn't expect any bigger names than Braun getting released but I could see them make some more cuts in NXT and NXT UK. I don't even think some NXT UK talents have been cut yet.
