  1. I hope that Jake Hager and Wardlow are also at the dinner and all they do is just stare a hole at each other without saying a word the whole time.
  2. This is where I wish that somebody like LuFisto or Cheerleader Melissa would've been considered for their women's division. At least, it would have added credibility to that division - and God knows they really, really need some at the moment.
  3. Not holding my breath in expectations that they would somehow shut them down, WWE has the Florida governor in their back pocket so he'd come to their defense anyway. Do I expect heavy fines? That might be possible but I don't think Vince will lose too much sleep. If anything, maybe talents at the Performance Center and on the NXT roster should probably get their shit together.
  4. Is that karma knocking on the door?
  5. So, at what time should we report Lana's murder tonight against Asuka?
  6. To answer your question about Shanna, unless I'm mistaken, I think she's quarantining right now so she probably will be back sooner rather than later.
  7. I would argue that Roman's character right now has more layers than the Rock when he first turned heel to join The Nation. For Rock, it was all about resentment towards the way fans treated him; for Roman, it's about asserting his position in the family as the top purveyor - and Tribal Chief - and having to do what's right for him. That's the closest thing to a Godfather that you can get and I'll be damned if I didn't say that Roman wasn't the best to pull this. As much as I love The Fiend/Alexa thing going on (I'm one of the only ones here but I can accept that), Roman's story right now is the best thing on Smackdown. Very excited for next week's I Quit HIAC match.
  8. This is one rivalry that I'm curious to know more about, especially since I only know about both men from reputation and that I know very little about the European scene from the mid-80s to early 90s so this thread should be very educational for me too! This is the thread to discuss Otto Wanz vs Bull Power!
  9. I haven't watched anything wXw-related in a while but wasn't he an authority figure in recent years? Anyway, fuck cancer. 33 is way too young to die.
  10. If you ask me, from a physical & mental standpoint, I don't think this is something talents are unhappy about. They get to spend more time at home with their family and they have more time to recover. And with the money being practically all made with live TV, I don't blame WWE for being more cautious about bringing back live events. Maybe they'll focus strictly on TV going forward whenever they'll able to have a more "normal" schedule.
  11. Can never go wrong with a vintage retro Montreal Expos Vladimir Guerrero jersey. (Don't think for a second that wasn't the first thing I noticed when Eddie Kingston walked to the broadcast booth)
  12. Particularly curious about the Collision in Korea episode. I know so little about it, wonder what they'll dig up.
  13. The one thing we can't fault Eva Marie though is that she did her best to improve in the ring. She asked herself to go down to NXT and to work with Brian Kendrick in private so that tells me that she's willing to put in the work and be an asset to the company. She can't control what WWE has in mind for her but this is something that I will commend her for.
  14. Pretty sure it was 32. Also billed as "Brie Bella's Retirement Match" unofficially. As for Eva Marie, if we've been able to deal with Lana for over 5 years now, I think we can survive Eva Marie again. Anyway, Asuka will probably knock her out cold during a match if she ever gets a match against her.
  15. On the bright side, maybe that will shift the attention and people will stop complaining about the Rollins/Mysterios angle now. I predict that Twitter will probably implode 2 minutes into Eva Marie's return.
  16. In a post-ECW landscape in which the very definition of hardcore fans were looking to satisfy their crave for violence, few promotions took that to another level and even went to promote their product as "ultraviolence". IWA Mid-South and Combat Zone Wrestling took it upon themselves to cater to that very niche audience and give them what they want. While Corporal Robinson is somewhat a less familiar but recognizable name for that niche, it is no secret that Necro Butcher has risen to the level of a folklore hero amongst that fandom, which even transcended the indy wrestling scene in general as Necro Butcher even made a few appearances with Ring of Honor at some point. This is the thread to talk everything Corporal Robinson vs Necro Butcher
  17. Oh, I perfectly agree with you. This is the kind of storyline that I feel would have more attention on RAW then Smackdown. With the buzz being all about Roman and his new Tribal Chief thing, I think it's good for each show to have that one angle that will generate buzz because Retribution isn't doing it right now. As much as The Hurt Business is doing their damndest to make it work and the addition of Ali as their leader will probably inject a bit of life in this, I still believe that having The Fiend & Alexa over on RAW doing their thing will accomplish that same buzz. I don't know if eventually, the endgame could be to have The Fiend vs Drew for the WWE title but in the meantime, I also hope Nikki Cross moves to RAW as well so they can wrap up that angle and further the dynamic between The Fiend & Alexa....And now, I'm for some reason fantasy booking a mixed tag between The Fiend/Alexa and KO/Nikki.
  18. So I take it that WWE is probably deciding to swap the Rollins/Murphy/Mysterios angle with The Fiend/Alexa one for RAW? Is that a better fit for RAW in your opinion?
  19. They're gonna be drafted on Monday. I think it would be plain dumb for WWE to split them up right away as they barely got started with their alliance together but like I said multiple times this week, it would be par for the course with WWE to do such a thing.
  20. I mean, Bruce wasn't exactly wrong on that level. If you look at the WCW 3-man booth (even sometimes 4, when Mike Tenay was there specifically for the Cruiserweight matches), you had 3 guys filling those exact roles: Tony Schiavone doing the play-by-play, Bobby Heenan doing colour and either Dusty Rhodes or Mike Tenay bringing some analysis. If you look at RAW at the moment, maybe it's time to just shift to a 2-men booth on all shows with one guy doing both color & analysis. Samoa Joe is being great at it (hopefully he can still return to the ring soon though) and obviously, Wade Barrett did some great work first on NWA Power and now on NXT. WWE should just change the approach in general as a 3-men booth isn't really needed anymore. Hell, I'd prefer a 2-men booth on AEW Dynamite every week instead of the current team they have.
  21. I loved that MVP teased on Twitter recruiting Naomi to the Hurt Business the minute she was announced to be drafted on RAW. That's definitely something that I'd like to see, especially if they keep that feud with Retribution going.
  22. I wouldn't even be shocked if Vince was to do that. That'd be a typical move on his part. I'm probably in the minority on this board on this but this is my favorite angle going in WWE right now and I'd be so pissed if we don't get a proper payoff just because Vince changed his mind on a whim, as he usually does.
  23. A swollen liver looks like it hurts like hell.
  24. Totally dug the SNL ending to the broadcast.
