  1. Prediction: If Corey Graves returns as an in ring talent, he'll be cut within 14 months.
  2. Wrong. Dude's execution is far from excellent.
  3. Hard disagree because Hey Phil ain't no fuckin' Bret Hart
  4. Sammy's leg slap on his GTS whatever is so atrocious and blatant and the cameras basically zoom in on it every time he hits that move which doesn't eve n look good to begin with, but also is not a move that would need or benefit from the leg slap sound. No one else does a leg slap for GTS variants. It just looked awful and always looks awful and he should really at least drop the leg slap part of it, but I think he should drop the move altogether.
  5. Corey Graves was about as good of a pro wrestler as Jesse Ventura, I guess. Which is to say he wasn't good but had charisma and was better as a color man (at least for a time) than wrestler.
  6. So did Vice then stop airing MLW
  7. How does WWE get Vice to stop airing MLW
  8. Since I don't know any of the names I really haven't been paying attention to much beyond the creativity in moves and how modern it all feels.
  9. I'm convinced 80% of moves used today were invented in French catch in the 50s/60s. I've seen Asai DDTs, Roll of the Dice/CrossRhodes, ganso bombs, missile dropkicks, Hiromu's DVD stampede, multiple powerbomb variations, multiple ranas and frankensteiners, saw a bulldog driver and snapmare driver, superkicks
  10. Bryan doing a Regal in 1993-1994 TV Title run would be wonderful
  11. Meltzer believes anything and everything told to him at face value when it comes to puro companies
  12. Shibataism will save New Japan
  13. What was Gabe actually doing with NXT? His name seemed to never come up with all the other booking and agent crew of HHH's group.
  14. It was nice to see Shibata back, and both Okada matches were real strong, but man the rest of these shows straight up sucked. Two nights for Wk never made sense due to NJ's small roster that was overstuffed with rematches and multiman tags, and that was before COVID took away most of the gaijin talent that they heavily relied on.
  15. Oh man what the fuck Fenix really just Sid'd his arm christ
  16. Brian Pillman's best run is definitely the Hollywood Blondes run and that's like 14 months or something. The Loose Cannon run is the most overrated angle and gimmick in history. It was literally Pillman just making cartoonishly over the top wacky faces for a couple of months and Bischoff saying he was gonna be in trouble and then he's gone and Benoit assumes his position in the feud with Sullivan. It's the ultimate work the smarks angle and somehow is still held up as some incredible thing. It wasn't. It sucked.
  17. Getting rid of Regal is crazy to me. Why on earth would you NOT want him with such a young and inexperienced group that they're running with now in NXT?
  18. ok
  19. Shingo/Okada was the only thing worth watching. I'm sure Okada/Ospreay will be good but man Ospreay looks and sounds like such a gassed up meat head. Dude looks like the gear has aged him 15 years in the past year and a half. In regards to Kevin Kelly, I think he's always sucked as an announcer and doing a 4 hour show via Zoom at a weird time isn't going to be good for anyone
  20. I definitely do not think there is any attempt at Mr. Khan, just TK unforced stepping on his dick again, which has happened multiple times because he's a shit poster at heart and is probably drunk/high when he does it. This is a pretty ugly one, though.
  21. It's really interesting how common tap outs were for submissions in the 50s, all over the world. You'll see it in US, JWA, and French Catch pretty regularly in the 50s. I wonder when and why that went away in pro wrestling. I wonder why that went away in pro wrestling for so long before returning once MMA popped off in the US.
  22. The quality of her in ring ability has nothing to do with her comments and feelings about representation in the company. TK making a shitpost about her personally because he's mad someone had an issue with not even him but that there aren't people in the company in upper levels that look and sound like her is wildly unprofessional and unbecoming for the guy running the whole company.
  23. I predicted when Toni got called up that they'd push her hard for a few weeks and then Vince would decide she didn't have the right look and stop using her. Didn't think she'd be out so quick, though. It will be a good thing for all companies and talent if WWE performers start realizing their worth and leaving, including WWE, as it will force them to actually try to give their own talent something to work with to keep them happy.
  24. I agree with Jetlag. I was through 1986 or so in the AJPW Archive and I think I saw all of 2 matches with Rusher that weren't either terribly boring or just terrible.
  25. I don't think Sammy is a likeable face in the least so I'm not surprised his title run didn't amount to anything. In general, getting dragged back into Inner Circle stuff completely killed Sammy and LAX.
