Nia Jax is not good at anything, and would be a negative to any company she could go to due to her not only being not good at anything but regularly injuring people. She had a 6 year run and the only memorable things were punching Becky's face off, the match with Ronda, and MY HOLE.

WWE TV 11/22 - 11/28 LeBron James is a King's Road Style wrestler

Couldn't he just have taken a selfie with it in the office with Vince without risking his career and life to steal it for a selfie? -
I watched this in 3 chunks and thought it was a pretty solid show tbh.

So who stole the egg -
I really have no idea how McAfee gets to just be Pat McAfee 24/7 without Vince having outright fired him or done everything to mold him by now
-
That was pretty good although lol at all the THIS IS REAL, THIS IS A SHEWT stuff as they're doing intricate spots
-
We never should, either. Rock shouldn't ever come back. He can only embarrass himself and get hurt.
-
It sucked and was the most cooperative, clearly planned out move for move shit I've seen on an AEW show, even the Bucks at their worst.
-
I would say it mostly applies to the Young Bucks and really mostly Matt Jackson, and Matt Jackson has no concept of subtlety whatsoever so it's always right in your face and all but him screaming REMEMBER THIS SPOT FROM 2014 PWG or some shit. I hate indie respect stand offs and that sequence to open Darby/MJF was so out of place for both guys and their angle but that's something you have to do for "classics". I also hate the main event variant where guys will both narrowly counter each others finish in the opening exchange. However the respect stand off goes back to at least the 1950s so what can ya do?
-
Callbacks in the form of guys trying moves or spots from a big match that worked for them (like Austin pulling out the Million Dollar Dream against Rock at WM 17) in the past, or a counter to a spot that happened in a previous match is good. I don't think Punk just straight up lifting whole sequences from Bret Hart matches as a tribute is not so much to me. I like character references like Omega going for Ibushi moves when he's desperate, or FTR hitting finishers from their big rivals from NXT is cool. Doing whole sequences verbatim is lame and lazy, imo.

Yes. He can't travel from the UK to the US without being vaccinated.

Being anti-vax doesn't mean shit if you're having to fly in to the US

Some of those are not surprising, like Ryker/Thorne/Spud. John Morrison is a little more surprising but also they did just can his wife so probably not totally unexpected. Hit Row literally being called up a month ago.

Ironically, pushing HOT CHICKS IN SKIMPY OUTFITS as a main focus of the show is probably going to draw in more of the 50+ demo than the 18-49 demo they want so badly.

Lmao this Bryan is the best

People have been talking about how Survivor Series isn't treated as the big event it should for like...20 years now. I'd argue there have been way better Survivor Series shows in the 00s and 10s than some truly, truly dreadful shows in the 90s when it was still kind of a big deal. 1991 is probably the dullest PPV in history and I legit used to put it on to go to sleep as a kid. It wasn't even until the Network came around that I actually even made it to the final match.

I was trying to think of an analogue for Brock Lesnar being brought back over and over to be a super boss attraction for a decade, a decade since his first dominant run, and I'm thinking it'd be like if Yokozuna was popping up every year for WM and Summerslam runs up to like 2014. -
Jay White going to WWE to be doing exactly what Seth Rollins is doing on the other show for 5 years and being a 4 time IC/US champ

Has there been a Britt Baker match that hasn't completely broken down and fallen apart? That shit was a MESS, and Tay certainly isn't experienced enough to keep things on track. She's got the gimmick and the attitude and the promos, but everything goes to shit when the bell rings and the only time it has actually benefitted the match was the unsanctioned match with Thunder Rosa. The opening for MJF/Darby really annoyed me. Could not have looked more cooperative and planned out step by step, but it got better after that. I'm not really sure an extended indie respect stand off really made much sense for their characters or the storyline, either. Tag title match was better than their previous matches, although I just don't think Southern wrasslin team meshes with wild lucha team 9 times out of 10. Did pop for the American Alpha shout out. 10 man tag was better than expected. Couldn't have rolled my eyes harder at Jericho doing the Frye/Takayama spot with JDS and actually getting JDS to beg off from it. This man's mid life crisis is just getting worse. Both of these matches should have had some time shaved and given to Punk vs Eddie, easily Punk's best match in AEW so far, but felt short and was in fact the shortest match on the card by quite a bit. Real weird dynamic where fans are willing to boo Punk and cheer Eddie doing cheap shots, but also then ending with Eddie refusing a handshake. Punk reacting in confusion and then getting mad the fans were booing him leading to throwing in a few extra shots was cool and hopefully this is the end of happy to be here Punk going forward. His MOOEY TIE shorts straight up looked like boxers tho. 6 man tag was a lot of fun but I'm truly baffled that they keep having Adam Cole pairing off with Luchasaurus and physically dominating him in almost every interaction these two groups have had. Also where the fuck is Marko Stunt? Dude just got completely phantom zoned as soon as Christian showed up. At least have the Bucks murder him or something. Or maybe they did and I missed it that week. Codyverse tag should have been a TV main event instead of a PPV match. Really no reason for it to get PPV time, and the show being nearly 4 hours certainly would have benefitted from this being on TV and the PPV being a little shorter. Bryan/Miro could have been better. Also prob should have been a little shorter. Miro's leg looks to be in pretty bad shape and I assume that's why he hadn't been in the ring since dropping the title to Sammy until the last second match with OC. Page/Omega was real strong but the crowd was struggling to keep the heat going for a big section in the middle that I feel probably wouldn't have been the case if the show hadn't been 3 1/2 hours long (plus the Buy In) when the match started. Super hot for the intros, super hot for the run up to the finish and the finish and post match stuff, but there was a lot of stuff in the middle they seemed too tired to really keep that energy going. I get that they only have PPVs every 4 months or so, so they want to put on a big super event and all, but 3 hours should be a hard limit for ANY wrestling show. This was close to 4 and felt it by the end. Especially in a company where every match is a "try to steal the show" type of deal. It's exhausting in the same way that a PWG show can be. Which is not a bad problem to have. I'd rather have a long show that is exhausting because there's too much good stuff on it than a long show that's exhausting because it fucking sucks. Should be interesting to see where things head after this. Full dickhead American Dragon torturing Page should be delightful.

Murphy vs Okada sounds a lot more interesting than anything from the G1 and might be the thing to get me to tune into a NJ match since Shingo vs Okada for the belt

I had an idea a few weeks ago about moves that have stupid set ups just to end in a basic move but then ended up forgetting all the moves I had thought of. But it was inspired by the pumphandle powerslam. Just do a powerslam. The pumphandle set up doesn't add any impact or damage whatsoever. -
Tony needs to up his coke and steroid game if he wants to be a real player in this game. Answer me this: Why isn't Tony doing 375lb squats at 3:30AM every morning? Fucking coward.

How on earth could the G4 gig count against his WWE downside
-
I don't think Walter works in the WWE TV system. His style and his match type is not something that can be done on TV every week and still feel like a big deal.
-
That's weird to me as I've just happened to be putting on Old School shows before bed and am right in that run and besides his hair being a lot thinner I didn't notice any particular difference in how he was working or the quality of it compared to matches of his I'd seen in his prime.
