  1. The heel color guy agreed with the heel wrestler saying obvious bullshit? Berried.
  2. I remember KURT ANGLE saying it was an illegal choke, so the win shouldn't count, and therefore he still went around saying he was undefeated like the delusional heel he was. I do not recall the announcers ever agreeing with that. Not really much different than wearing the hair piece after getting his head shaved. What killed Taz was the Radicalz coming in shortly after. Benoit in particular. Also he was very short and Vince treated all the ECW dudes with even more disdain than WCW guys.
  3. If I'm trolling, it's blatant trolling jokes. Hook looked like a guy with no experience other than drilling what will be his main spots. He has a presence, he has a look, he has athleticsm. He also looked like he'd never sold, those crossfaces looked terrible, his other strikes were pretty dodgy, his moving from spot to spot looked like a guy trying to remember what he was supposed to do, and the few times he had to sell looked weird. He looked like a rookie. A rookie with potential, to be sure, but absolutely looked like a rookie. I know he somehow became a meme for whatever reason over the past year, but come on. I'm not sure he looked as polished as Brock Anderson, who also is definitely a rookie and needs a year or two working mostly on Dark to get seasoning.
  4. He's about the same level as Jade Cargill.
  5. Hook absolutely looks like a guy having his first match.
  6. There are also a dozen dudes in AEW that do the thousand kick outs never ending matches so what will yet another of those do for them at this stage
  7. Gargano was so overexposed in the past 2-3 years and went through such a full arc and character changes two or three times over that I really have no interest in him going anywhere. AEW is currently full of so many guys he's been associated with for the past few years, with probably a couple more coming in soon as well. Gargano is way tiny to fit in the heavyweight scene for NJ and lol juniors. He's in a weird spot for sure. WWE really has a knack for making you not care at all about people who at one point seemed like the best in the world.
  8. Long Island fucking sucks, for any of you that have never been.
  9. Just hire Jujimufu already. BOOGZ, Nakamura, Juji trio to save pro wrestling.
  10. I wish WWE had car crash appeal. You'd have to pay me to sit through any of the weekly shows.
  11. KOR/Strong was a better team than reDRagon, would rather see them in AEW than Fish and KOR back together.
  12. I feel like KOR would thrive in the good matches for the sake of good matches and who cares about storylines or promos aspect of AEW, but Gargano is a dude who has been so over exposed in every possible way that I have no interest seeing him against anyone in any company in any role for a long, long time.
  13. No one wonders why WWE booking goes nowhere and nothing matters. It's been about 10 years now of only putting in any effort for WM season and each year that actually becomes more and more like the last 3-4 weeks before WM instead. You can probably really draw the line straight back to WM 27 and Rock's involvement.
  14. Honestly, no idea why there wasn't a mass call up for these people that have been in NXT forever. It's not even just the ones like Ciampa/Gargano/KOR/Dunne that have been spinning their wheels for years, but also guys like Cameron Grimes, DJZ, Roderick Strong, Robbie E, DJZ who all have years of TV experience before even getting to NXT. There's something to be said for vets teaching the young guys and all that, but obviously that's not something WWE has ever seemed to give a shit about with NXT. Eli Knight as part of the old school NXT team is bizarre. Dude didn't show up until earlier this year. He has no history with the brand. The only thing of any interest in 2.0 is Bron Breakker and I think odds are pretty good that once he gets called up he ends up another Chad Gable. 2.0 feels like that weird period in 2004-2005 when they suddenly started reviving 80s/early 90s style gimmicks.
  15. This show fucking sucks. NXT 2.0 is somehow even more lifeless than old NXT for the past 2 years.
  16. He also looks like he hasn't hit the gym in 2 months
  17. That war games fucking sucked. Reboot NXT again.
  18. Barb smashing dudes with the most violent back breakers, powerbombs, big boots, and the belly to belly superplex is a treat every time
  19. Eva Marie's Slice Bread #2 > Marufuji's Shiranui
  20. When are they going to hit the Coffin Scorpion Death Drop to end a match though
  21. Matches off the top of my head that I'd recommend Inoki vs Brisco JWA: UN Title match from 1971. This is in the AJ Archive and imo is probably the direct inspiration for the original UWF. Inoki vs Dory Jr. JWA: NWA Championship. I want to say there were 2 in the AJ Archive, both hour long draws, but both real good. Inoki/Baba vs Funks JWA: There were multiple in the Archive, watch all of them. Inoki vs The Destroyer JWA: Also in the Archive, I'd recommend but it's not the classic that you'd get from Destroyer/Baba. All Inoki vs Andre matches on NJ World Inoki vs Rolland Bock on NJ World. Bock just absolutely manhandles Inoki and it's wonderful. Inoki/Sakaguchi vs Thesz/Gotch: Pretty sure it's on NJ World, if not it's easy to find on line. Lou da gawd also manhandles Inoki and treats him like an absolute scrub. There's one really great Inoki vs Tiger Jeet Singh match but I can't remember which one it is out of the dozens of trash ones Inoki vs Dusty 1979 on NJ World, mostly for Dusty being peak weirdo during it All Inoki vs Backlund matches Inoki/Backlund vs Hogan/Hansen Inoki/Fujinami vs Adonis/Murdoch I believe MSG League 1984 finals Inoki vs Hase 1992 1/4 Inoki vs Tenryu 1994 1/4 Inoki vs Muta 5/1/94 Inoki vs Fujiwara 1995 Inoki vs Flair from Collision in Korea Inoki vs Vader 1996 1/4 Inoki vs Tiger King
  22. I think you'll find that in any form of entertainment. People put up with Axl Rose's diva and erratic behavior because the performances were worth it. But not so much for the singer for Puddle of Mudd.
  23. Cody is so desperate to get cheered lmao
  24. Hope Arn is okay. That fall looked like he could have hit his head or neck on whatever that was down there.
  25. Nia legit not only never improved from her time in NXT, but she actually got worse and worse and more dangerous the more experience she got. She was bad in the ring and bad at promos, and somehow had no presence at all despite being significantly bigger than the entire women's roster. Some of that I suppose you can blame on booking and presentation, but she was usually booked to be pretty dominant and a threat against everyone at all times, but felt about the same as Dana Brooke or something.
