Shingo/Okada was the only thing worth watching. I'm sure Okada/Ospreay will be good but man Ospreay looks and sounds like such a gassed up meat head. Dude looks like the gear has aged him 15 years in the past year and a half. In regards to Kevin Kelly, I think he's always sucked as an announcer and doing a 4 hour show via Zoom at a weird time isn't going to be good for anyone

I definitely do not think there is any attempt at Mr. Khan, just TK unforced stepping on his dick again, which has happened multiple times because he's a shit poster at heart and is probably drunk/high when he does it. This is a pretty ugly one, though.

It's really interesting how common tap outs were for submissions in the 50s, all over the world. You'll see it in US, JWA, and French Catch pretty regularly in the 50s. I wonder when and why that went away in pro wrestling. I wonder why that went away in pro wrestling for so long before returning once MMA popped off in the US.

The quality of her in ring ability has nothing to do with her comments and feelings about representation in the company. TK making a shitpost about her personally because he's mad someone had an issue with not even him but that there aren't people in the company in upper levels that look and sound like her is wildly unprofessional and unbecoming for the guy running the whole company.

I predicted when Toni got called up that they'd push her hard for a few weeks and then Vince would decide she didn't have the right look and stop using her. I agree with Jetlag. I was through 1986 or so in the AJPW Archive and I think I saw all of 2 matches with Rusher that weren't either terribly boring or just terrible.

I don't think Sammy is a likeable face in the least so I'm not surprised his title run didn't amount to anything. In general, getting dragged back into Inner Circle stuff completely killed Sammy and LAX.

I don't at all disagree that he looks and moves like a real athlete. He just has a literal babyface and doesn't at all have that angry man who will try to break your neck aura that Taz had, imo. He's very very chill.

Hard disagree about Hook looking like a guy who could fuck you up. He looks like a teenager. Maybe in a few years when his face starts to mature. He doesn't have that aura of fuck you up that Taz had despite being taller and in better shape. It might come as he matures and gets more experience, though. Certainly looks like he's going to have a high ceiling but I'm not buying him doing all the Taz no selling shit at all yet.

Be it like a clinch knee strike or more like a knee lift, even the shittiest dudes had knee strikes that could easily be a finish today. Also Gorgeous George has the greatest headlock takeover of all time and Lou Thesz was a hell of a bumper. I would also say it's interesting how many falls end in hitting a finish or big move 3-5 times in a row.

I'm not sure if I have a list of matches but Bob Orton Sr. I think might actually be better than Jr. Just a real mean and ornery mf in the ring. Everything he does has such snap and edge to it. Almost like Fritz Von Erich if Fritz was athletic and could do grappling and athletic spots. He's very fast and snappy, faster than Jr. in the ring. Also had an absolutely brutal powerbomb he was doing in the early 50s. I see a lot more of Sr. in Randy's work and mannerisms than Jr.
