  1. Barb smashing dudes with the most violent back breakers, powerbombs, big boots, and the belly to belly superplex is a treat every time
  2. Eva Marie's Slice Bread #2 > Marufuji's Shiranui
  3. When are they going to hit the Coffin Scorpion Death Drop to end a match though
  4. Matches off the top of my head that I'd recommend Inoki vs Brisco JWA: UN Title match from 1971. This is in the AJ Archive and imo is probably the direct inspiration for the original UWF. Inoki vs Dory Jr. JWA: NWA Championship. I want to say there were 2 in the AJ Archive, both hour long draws, but both real good. Inoki/Baba vs Funks JWA: There were multiple in the Archive, watch all of them. Inoki vs The Destroyer JWA: Also in the Archive, I'd recommend but it's not the classic that you'd get from Destroyer/Baba. All Inoki vs Andre matches on NJ World Inoki vs Rolland Bock on NJ World. Bock just absolutely manhandles Inoki and it's wonderful. Inoki/Sakaguchi vs Thesz/Gotch: Pretty sure it's on NJ World, if not it's easy to find on line. Lou da gawd also manhandles Inoki and treats him like an absolute scrub. There's one really great Inoki vs Tiger Jeet Singh match but I can't remember which one it is out of the dozens of trash ones Inoki vs Dusty 1979 on NJ World, mostly for Dusty being peak weirdo during it All Inoki vs Backlund matches Inoki/Backlund vs Hogan/Hansen Inoki/Fujinami vs Adonis/Murdoch I believe MSG League 1984 finals Inoki vs Hase 1992 1/4 Inoki vs Tenryu 1994 1/4 Inoki vs Muta 5/1/94 Inoki vs Fujiwara 1995 Inoki vs Flair from Collision in Korea Inoki vs Vader 1996 1/4 Inoki vs Tiger King
  5. I think you'll find that in any form of entertainment. People put up with Axl Rose's diva and erratic behavior because the performances were worth it. But not so much for the singer for Puddle of Mudd.
  6. Cody is so desperate to get cheered lmao
  7. Hope Arn is okay. That fall looked like he could have hit his head or neck on whatever that was down there.
  8. Nia legit not only never improved from her time in NXT, but she actually got worse and worse and more dangerous the more experience she got. She was bad in the ring and bad at promos, and somehow had no presence at all despite being significantly bigger than the entire women's roster. Some of that I suppose you can blame on booking and presentation, but she was usually booked to be pretty dominant and a threat against everyone at all times, but felt about the same as Dana Brooke or something.
  9. Big match spectacle Inoki with a capable opponent is awesome. Inoki doing stunt show bullshit with guys who were barely even trained in pro wrestling can suck hard, especially if you've seen enough where the novelty has worn off. I would say this goes for the entirety of his career, from the earliest JWA stuff all the way up to the 1996/1997.
  10. Nia Jax is not good at anything, and would be a negative to any company she could go to due to her not only being not good at anything but regularly injuring people. She had a 6 year run and the only memorable things were punching Becky's face off, the match with Ronda, and MY HOLE.
  11. Couldn't he just have taken a selfie with it in the office with Vince without risking his career and life to steal it for a selfie?

    Survivor Series 2021

I watched this in 3 chunks and thought it was a pretty solid show tbh.

    Survivor Series 2021

I really have no idea how McAfee gets to just be Pat McAfee 24/7 without Vince having outright fired him or done everything to mold him by now

    Survivor Series 2021

That was pretty good although lol at all the THIS IS REAL, THIS IS A SHEWT stuff as they're doing intricate spots

    Survivor Series 2021

We never should, either. Rock shouldn't ever come back. He can only embarrass himself and get hurt.
  16. It sucked and was the most cooperative, clearly planned out move for move shit I've seen on an AEW show, even the Bucks at their worst.
  17. I would say it mostly applies to the Young Bucks and really mostly Matt Jackson, and Matt Jackson has no concept of subtlety whatsoever so it's always right in your face and all but him screaming REMEMBER THIS SPOT FROM 2014 PWG or some shit. I hate indie respect stand offs and that sequence to open Darby/MJF was so out of place for both guys and their angle but that's something you have to do for "classics". I also hate the main event variant where guys will both narrowly counter each others finish in the opening exchange. However the respect stand off goes back to at least the 1950s so what can ya do?
  18. Callbacks in the form of guys trying moves or spots from a big match that worked for them (like Austin pulling out the Million Dollar Dream against Rock at WM 17) in the past, or a counter to a spot that happened in a previous match is good. I don't think Punk just straight up lifting whole sequences from Bret Hart matches as a tribute is not so much to me. I like character references like Omega going for Ibushi moves when he's desperate, or FTR hitting finishers from their big rivals from NXT is cool. Doing whole sequences verbatim is lame and lazy, imo.
  19. Yes. He can't travel from the UK to the US without being vaccinated.
  20. Being anti-vax doesn't mean shit if you're having to fly in to the US
  21. Some of those are not surprising, like Ryker/Thorne/Spud. John Morrison is a little more surprising but also they did just can his wife so probably not totally unexpected. Hit Row literally being called up a month ago.
  22. Ironically, pushing HOT CHICKS IN SKIMPY OUTFITS as a main focus of the show is probably going to draw in more of the 50+ demo than the 18-49 demo they want so badly.
  23. Lmao this Bryan is the best
  24. People have been talking about how Survivor Series isn't treated as the big event it should for like...20 years now. I'd argue there have been way better Survivor Series shows in the 00s and 10s than some truly, truly dreadful shows in the 90s when it was still kind of a big deal. 1991 is probably the dullest PPV in history and I legit used to put it on to go to sleep as a kid. It wasn't even until the Network came around that I actually even made it to the final match.
