  1. Bumping this so I don't forget about him. Jury is still out.
  2. I think Dirty White Boy makes it in part because of his peak in SMW but also his solid tag work in the 80s. he was rock solid in the DWBs in Mid South.

    Low Ki

Surprised Low-Ki hasn't received much attention.

    MS-1

MS-1 has been ignored. Is he making anybody's Top 100? HE might make mine just for being in the Sangre series.
  5. I want more on tape but he is a blast just punching guys. For all of the criticisms leveled against Lawler, I think they apply more to Fargo. I don't think I have ever seem him do ANYTHING but punch but he is so fun to watch. I am going to dig into my 70s stuff to check out more Fargo.

    Espectrito

Should this guy be in contention?
  7. I like Baba a lot but I picked Punk also. From 2009 to 2013, he was consistently having great matches and many times, stole the show. Since he has been gone, his presence has really been missed, but to be fair, it also coincides with Bryan being injured, Cesaro disappearing on TV and just being boring as fuck the last 9 months as a company. We watched a ton of Baba matches for All Japan but there were as many stinkers as there were classics when he was in the ring. He also had the benefit of owning the company so a lot of the bad booking and finishes in All Japan during the early 80s was due to his leadership. Also, I know people are going to think I am anti-Baba. I am not. I have defended Baba for years on message boards. Just at this point, I would rather watch a Punk match.
  8. You should have called it ... Sheep in the Bushes
  9. I agree with this. However, bad booking in a match can be held against a match on initial viewing but not mean as much on rewatch, giving you more enjoyment the second time around.
  10. Can't wait to see the first taping of the TV show!!!
  11. Yo Jesse... what happened on the big July 4th show? !!!
  12. When is the first TV taping?
  13. I'm standing outside the venue, waiting for the TV tapings to start!!!
  14. July 6, 1983 Tatebayashi · Tatsumi Fujinami, Kengo Kimura & Seiji Sakaguchi defeated Animal Hamaguchi, Tiger Toguchi & Kuniaki Kobayashi when Fujinami pinned Toguchi with the Dragon Suplex · Tiger Mask © pinned Kantaro Hoshino with a flipping flying body press to successfully defend the WWF Jr. Heavyweight Title · Yoshiaki Fujiwara and Abdullah the Butcher were both disqualified after ignoring the referee and fighting through the crowd · Rusher Kimura defeated Osamu Kido with a Butterfly Suplex · Brian Blair pinned Haruka Eigen after a dropkick · Nobuhiko Takada, Kazuo Yamazaki & Black Cat defeated Pete Roberts, Dave Finlay & Halcon 78 when Takada forced Halcon to submit in an armbar
  15. Ugh.... we might as well put him in a title match at Starrcade with Gene Kiniski as the ref. Zzzzzzz
  16. July 5, 1983 Nagareyama · Riki Choshu © pinned Yoshiaki Fujiwara after a running lariat in a WWF International Heavyweight Title Match · Tiger Mask © pinned Kantaro Hoshino with a flipping flying body press to successfully defend the WWF Jr. Heavyweight Title · Kengo Kimura & Seiji Sakaguchi defeated Isamu Teranishi & Tiger Toguchi when Sakaguchi knocked out Toguchi with the Big Knee · Rusher Kimura pinned Makoto Arakawa after a Butterfly Suplex · Osamu Kido & Haruka Eigen defeated Ryuma Go & Masanobu Kurisu · Nobuhiko Takada pinned Brian Blair after Blair missed a dropkick · Tatsutoshi Goto pinned Halcon 78
  17. Agreed on all points!!!! I thought you were backhand complimenting Omega early in the review and then blaming him for the shortcomings.
  18. I am going to disagree vehemently here. Omega was doing the right thing and was pretty solid working the leg and staying consistent with selling the arm. Kushida was the one who blew off the leg wok and brought the match down here.
  19. I thought this was a show on Jim Herd!!!!
  20. Badass!!!! Make it yours.
  21. If you mad eit more like Stampede with Ed Whalen shit editing and rambling about blood and guts, I would stop reading your reports.
  22. Shit, all of the Toronto TV I have seen ended up as house shows with outside talent OR JCP footage.
  23. I think Rotundo and Funk Jr. are both pretty boring and uninspiring wrestlers but I always liked them matched up against each other. Similar to Dory and Brody. Brody is garbage but has good matches with Dory. Go figure.

Some people don't appreciate smart wrestling. Nothing you can do about it.
