  1. Saying "what" during the national anthem always makes me cringe.
  2. If you feel the style is superior to the a WWE style, why would you hold it against them? There will be people who love the UWF style like Tim Cooke who will rank them higher because they excelled at a style he loves.
  3. I don't mind Kris and jdw sidetracking to talk about seeing provided we get back to finding out who the wrestling equivalents are.
  4. Yeah, I am locking Khan in as Horry.
  5. It would seem you like 2 are cut from the same cloth.
  6. So... Montreal is still a thing. On the other hand, really surprised they let the tag team champions beat their top two babyfaces.
  7. Dylan, Bill Thompson and others made a case for him in the GWE forum and Dylan brought up Jericho. I am going to make a case for Jericho this week but wanted to get the ball rolling. Anyway... Y2J or V1?

    New Jack

I simply don't like enough of his matches. I liked him more in SMW where he had 1 or 2 classics brawls. In ECW, i don't recall any of his matches making the ECW list. I don't think I would have him above a guy like Rhino or Lance Storm. Maybe higher than Justin Credible.
  9. He loves high flying lucha as he mentions on the podcast. We have also put lucha matches on Naylor comps. Plus, as the lines blur between where wrestlers get their influences, we notice that lucha isn't really narrowly defined like it was in the past. We spent about 15 minutes before recording talking about lucha underground. We all love it and the way it is presented. If you asked Rob 5 years ago, he would probably shrug about lucha. Now, he seems much more receptive.
  10. http://www.palehorselucha.com/ This is the website for the concept. If you are in the St. Petersburg area tomorrow, check out this event. Food, drinks, music, wrestling, art. Sounds good to me.
  11. ButchReedMark.... fascinating stuff. I loved reading it. If this gets too rugby-centric though, we may need to move it to Pro Wrestling Mostly.
  12. I stand by point one and Killer Khan is a great comparison !!!
  13. Somebody you can plug into the main event at anytime. Somebody who coasts at the house shows but performs huge on the big stage. Never the ace of the company Content to work the midcard Has more MOTYCs than regular good-great performances
  14. Russo is Jerry Kraus... rides the wave of the most popular era / star taking credit for the upswing only to see it all crumble when the star retires (Jordan) / isn't in the same company (Austin).
  15. Russell is Bruno. Gave the belt up for a couple of cups of coffee but nobody else was worthy of the strap during that time.
  16. Is Bill Apter really known for being a bullshit artist? My instincts say trust Apter.
  17. Which episode?
  18. I'll be honest... after last night's show, I had no desire to sit through a RAW. Nothing from that show made me think that I need to see the follow up.
  19. Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton (WWE World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match) - This was ok but I have been teased this past month with blood and there has been no blood on this PPV. - Randy getting a Yes chant for the punt was amusing as was the Pedigree. - The Kane stuff at the end was over but it was stupid and did nothing for me. When Kane is the centerpiece of your championship program, count me out.
  20. This show has the vibe of a Dusty finish. I can see Orton using the RKO to win the match with the ref out and the Authority overturning the decision tomorrow.
  21. I think JBL goes in next year as the Attitude era guy.
  22. His best match is the Mark Henry Vengeance match that had the crowd going molten in the end and ending with the ring collapsing. What year was that? I don't think I've seen it and I love Mark Henry. I definitely would remember that if I had. 2011. It preceded the Del Rio-Cena Falls Count Anywhere match.
  23. Guessing Ryback comes out here.
  24. His best match is the Mark Henry Vengeance match that had the crowd going molten in the end and ending with the ring collapsing.
  25. If Cena-Rusev was hurt by the gimmick, this match was really helped by the gimmick.
