  1. Another great episode. Opener was good and Meurtes worked it like he should, the angle was well done too. Ryck/Sexy was an all angle sort of thing and well done all around. Definitely into seeing Ryck/Crew. And the main event was really good, they really distinguished themselves as main eventers above the rest of the roster by working a less spotty style but still being exciting and getting the crowd into it. Alberto is super over and legit feels like one of the biggest stars in wrestling. His opening promo with Cueto was fantastic as was his vignette with Puma. Hoping this is building to a STRAP MATCH. Mundo/Cuerno in a cage announced for next week which sounds cool. LU not only puts on a hell of an episode every time but does a great job contantly creating things to look forward to next episode and beyond. I really love this promotion.

The Axel segment the Miz segment were two of the best RAW segments in a year or more.
  3. Wooow that main event sucked.
  4. I've liked this show quite a lot outside of Strong/Whitmer, which I couldn't even muster the interest to watch and just browsed the internet while it was on in the background. Like this show a lot more than any of the PPVs last year.
  5. Moose needs to stop doing the flip on the spear. Makes it look weaker than a regular spear.
  6. The preshow actually did a good job making he interested in this show, when I really wasn't before. Alexander/Sydal was a good opener.
  7. Last week was a low-key, angle driven episode but this week they went nuts with the workrate with 3 super fun matches and went totally nuts with crazy dives. Each match was different too. Mundo/Cuerno had some awkward moments but I loved the extra viciousness Mundo brought and Cuerno's run of three nasty topes was awesome. Cage/Puma was pretty much as good a match as they could possibly have together. And they still did plenty of cool angle stuff throughout. This is the best run of episodic wrestling in a long time.
  8. WWE's used it a good few times lately I think.
  9. Terrible indictment of everything done with the Rhodes since they lost the title how dead the crowd is for this match. The Stardust shit isn't over at all. This match would've been a big deal one year ago.
  10. Is Trump a bigger star? To me Stewart is at least as big a figure as Trump, and his involvement in wrestling would get more media attention than Trump's involvement -- not only that, but more sympathetic coverage. I feel like a liberal media darling like Steward could even raise WWE's profile to some degree. Trump might have gotten attention but he has zero prestige, for media celebrities Stewart is pretty prestigious.
  11. With Stewart doing that promo video, hypothetically, Stewart involved with something at Wrestlemania would be a much bigger deal than Trump in 2007 right?
  12. Oh and you'll love this El-P if you haven't heard ... Observer reports that Vince Russo is in talks with LU now.
  13. Cage/Mundo last week was a pretty bad match but the whole segment still won me over with Cage wearing the ripped up belt around his neck and Dario restarting it after Mundo got injured. The vignettes this week were so awesome. If I weren't watching this show and just read about some of that stuff I might think it sounded lame, but watching it it just works so much better than you'd imagine. Pentagon's squashes are great. They need to vary the matches a bit more though, more 3/4 way matches and definitely more trios. With the 'sameness' of the style, an all-singles-matches show can wear on me.

    NXT Takeover Arrival

That match would have had a better atmosphere with a crowd that could get hot for something other than an indie spotfest. But it was really great, ending was fantastic.
  15. Sounds very, very, very uninteresting.
  16. That show's booking was as hideously awful as anything WWE did last year. Complete garbage booking. Ibushi/Honma was really great though.

Reigns got a mixed reaction, heavier boos than cheers I'd say. The crowd dyanmic is really weird and I think this might damage both of them.
  18. Eh, he's 4. Kids are going to be unpredicatable and inconsistent in what they're interested in especially that young. I doubt there's much to "do" really, just keep watching and inviting him to watch with you and hopefully he'll start showing more interest as he gets older.
  19. "Sitizing in the hizouse." Sting should never talk.
  20. Crowd response was interesting at the end where the pin fall didn't get a big initial pop but the crowd started to get lounder as the seconds past. Was this a very unexpected result at the time among smart fans or was the decision not to put Triple H over here already known/suspected?
  21. First minute or so was kind of shockingly good with Test starting it off with a really nasty looking running slam on the outside and then pummeling Shane. For a bells and whistles wrestler v. non wrestler match this was pretty fun and had the big high spot. Decent enough.
  22. Boy does Dogg look terrible here.
  23. So Tanaka totally disregarding the arm work annoyed me. I don't need limb work to be sold hardcore through the entirety of a match but when limbwork is such a huge theme of the match and a big chunk is dedicated to it, and it's just TOTALLY blow off, yes it annoys me a good bit. Also the big no selling run at the end annoyed me, although I liked how Tanaka flailed against the ropes after it. Still there was a lot of great stuff in this match, the arm work itself was very good. But most of all those last couple minutes were outstanding. The ref takes two big hits in a row and the crowd goes nut, a new ref comes in and there's two huge roll-up near falls which the crowd totally buys, and the new ref frantically alternating between counting falls and checking out the out ref made it really dramatic and chaotic. Afterward Tanaka hits two big elbows in a row in a cool spot for the win. Very good match overall with some flaws, but a really really awesome ending. The ending stretch was also way above the rest of the match in terms of heat and intensity, which is always something I like.

WWE is absolutely undecipherable right now.
  25. If there were a group of stock holders looking at WWE's booking and management and exerting pressure on them how would Vince replacing proven successful booker with lots of relevant experience Chris Kreski with HIS DAUGHTER have gone over? Vince does what he wants and that's what he wants his company to be: a place where he does what he wants.
