    Khabib didn't rough up anybody... He just confronted Artem... You know throwing bottles of water at each other and throwing a dolly and a chair at a bus full of fighters is entirely different, right? And you know as a result of those objects being thrown at said bus, the windows were smashed and there's a guy who's not even a fighter with a broken knuckle, there's a fighter with his face all cut and another fighter who is said to have glass in his eye from the window... Both fighters which were pulled from fights this weekend because of those actions. Not everything is pro-wres. and not everything is a work...

    Not to be that guy, but Noah didn't lack gaijin talent. They lacked monster gaijin talents like Hansen and Vader. They always had smaller gaijins like Marvin, Morgan, Modest, Williams, Bison, Vader, Slinger, Scorpio, etc. around. I agree with this entirely. Really dug Vader throwing people around (including the ref). That blown finish though was really bad. I remember him teasing the Vadersault in the previous singles match with Misawa and then just dropping to the second rope and doing the Vader Bomb. I think he should have finished with that here instead of going for the Vadersault again which he still managed to pull off, but also headbutting Kobashi in the process of doing so.

    WWN already providing some quality this weekend... Website is down. Glad I cancelled my subscription and will just use Fite TV to get their events (which is more useful to me as they also stream RIZIN and the problems I've ever had with were minimal and always had a steady and reliable HQ stream).

    This has been something I've noticed in a lot of his recent matches. They are becoming very repetitive and the fun/novelty of them is dying down. So far this year, the only 2 Riddle matches I've seen that have been good/very good are the James Drake match from EVOLVE 100 and the Jeff Cobb match from MLW.

    As I pointed out on DVDVR about Suzuki vs. Riddle -- this time around it should be different from their first match as this will be more of a somewhat worked Ganryujima match than a straight up pro-wres match or at least that's what they're making it out to be based on the stipulations.

    Upon a rewatch, this is even better. This is all about the Misawa and Hashimoto tease. The brief exchanges we got between them were all great. Hashimoto berating Misawa in the corner with kicks and stomps and then shoving the ref. to get the Noah boys at ringside going was great and it was the perfect semi-restart. Loved Otsuka in this and he got much more offense in this than I remember. That giant swing on Misawa was not as extensive or impressive as the one's he's done in Battlarts, but it was still great seeing him do it to a massive Japanese pro-wrestling star like Misawa on a big platform. Really good interpromotional match.

    This pretty much reflects my sentiment on this match. I would add that I didn't like how they cut out the King Crab Lock though. They had built it up as a serious move leading up to this, but Kobashi was pretty much in the ropes as soon as it was locked in which didn't allow it to build much drama from it. Kobashi's Burning Lariat from the top rope would've been a perfect finish for this had Kobashi not taken such an amazing mount of damage as he did and he was smart enough to just fall off the top rope and sell the damage he had taken. Really good match.

    If not enjoying something, having my own opinion/view on things and not agreeing with the opinion of the Segunda Caida crew/DVDVR crew/whoever, makes me crazy, then, yes, I am crazy. They also seem to like the Amazing Red and Low Ki Kung Fu sequence, which in my opinion, is one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen and think it's as over the top, goofy and choreographed as the Ricochet and Ospreay dance routine. As for this match -- I was expecting it to be hate filed, yet I didn't feel it was and for Yatsu, I recall really thinking his standing elbows and mounted punches, for example, looked really bad/weak.

    This was great. Big match feel. Yellow and red Hogan doing an armbar is quite amusing. I dug how Tenryu didn't hold back and just blasted Hogan with the gamengiri's. Hogan popping out the Axe Bomber was cool as it was a nice throwback to his NJPW days.

    This was heatless and not that good. We get too much Yatsu and not enough Tenryu. I've liked Yatsu in certain instances such as in 1980's AJPW, but here he looked pretty bad. Everything he did here looked really bad. We get some signs of brilliance from Tenryu here, but not enough to save this for me. Pretty forgettable.

    Just for clarification, the proper date on this is 6/26, not 7/26, per Cagematch. Not a MOTYC or anything by any chance, but a hate filed somewhat heated brawl focused mostly in the ring that I never felt dragged. Fuyuki getting color late in the match really added to this. Fun match.

    Holy cow, this was awesome. Crazy hot rabid crowd. Big match feel. Takano crash and burns and Tenryu double stomps him! Tenryu tope! Big Takano top rope dive! Massive powerbomb finish. Great match.

    So who ends Asuka's streak Charlotte or Carmella? If Carmella doesn't cash in and win tomorrow night, then Asuka loses to Charlotte on Sunday or she loses the streak to Carmella once she cashes in as there's no chance she loses once she cashes in as they already pulled that on Baron Corbin.

    It's clear who was brought in to eat the fall, but in the process he puts on a fiery, gutsy performance and he goes toe-to-toe with Tenryu as they trade some nasty slaps and punches to the mouth. He also eats some nasty chops from Tenryu straight to the throat. We get some instances and teases of the Choshu vs. Tenryu and Fujinami feuds from the 80's, but they're just flash moments and never really escalate to much. This isn't a MOTYC or anything, but it's worth watching just to see Tenryu and Kitahara go at it.

    This was some neat gritty pro-wres. Both guys bring some hate and they headbutt and punch each other a bit. Fujiwara also pulls out a sweet toehold rope counter into an armbar and he also pulls off a sweet transition from one of Anjo's throws into a rear naked choke. The finish sucks as Fujiwara refuses to break the rear naked choke and Takayama who's working as a second for Anjo pulls them out of the ring and attacks Fujiwara and there's a double count out.

    This is from around the time Shibata decided it was best for him to part ways with New Japan and become a freelancer who was on journey around Japan working for various organizations years before venturing in MMA. This has somewhat a sense of a big fight with Shibata knowing he has to take every advantage he can to put the old man away, so he attacks him from the get go and we have a fight between these two filled with Shibata punting the Choshu and Choshu constantly hitting brutal lariats on him.

    This was good, not great, but def. good. Marufuji is by far the worst guy here and really added nothing aside from a cool takedown he pulled out on Shibata at one point and getting slapped in the face by Shibata. The focus of this is on Shibata vs. Morishima though and Marufuji and Ibushi are just along for the ride. Shibata and Morishima really bring the hate against each other and Morishima does a pretty good job at using his size advantage in the exchanges with Shibata. He also does a great job at holding back and not selling a lot of Ibushi's early offense as at the time Ibushi was a small Jr. guy from DDT which means in the rankings Morishima had no reason to really put him over at that moment. Given later on once he had already been worked over and was tired he did put over Ibushi's offense and went down a couple of times after a series of strikes. Pretty good stuff.

    This was beautifu pro-wres. The matwork felt supplementary, but those punches, elbows and headbutts by Ishikawa were violent and really made this. I think the heatless crowd complemented the punches as you could head the thud from them connecting with Otsuka's jaw. I dug Otsuka using the huracanrana and transitioning into a triangle choke afterwards. I prefer that than the guys countering 450 splashes into poorly executed triangle chokes like they do now. Ishikawa's knee capture German suplex was pretty awesome, also. The right hand transition into a read naked choke was a perfect way to finish this. Great stuff.

    Haven't been paying a lot of attention as I was doing some grad school work, but this seems like a fun indie-tastic match.

    I brought this up once and got popped on on here, but I agree. A lot of ZSJ's grappling is very poor and he could definitely benefit from some BJJ or aikido (if he really wants to go the joint manipulation route) classes or even attending some of those Timothy Thatcher Catch seminars he's done in Germany.
