    WWE TV 2/22 - 2/28/16

There's always been a vast disconnect between the website and the actual product. I don't think a fantasy piece on .com indicates anything about WWE's plans for Styles. Considering how they've been pushing social media and stuff in recent months, I would say things are changing in that aspect.

His t-shirt has been their #1 best seller for a while and they even did a "5 dream matches for AJ Styles" article on their website and there's a very, very, VERY high chance they'll try and put all of those matches together.
  3. Benoit vs. Taskmaster (WCW Great American Bash 1996) - My favorite match of all time and the match that turned Benoit into my favorite wrestler of all time as kid. Knowing the backstory to this over the years made it much better in my eyes. Rey Jr. vs Eddie (WCW Halloween Havoc 1997) - A match that has aged well in it's element. I know this may not be everyone's type of match now a days, but back then this was highly praised. To this day these 2 guys pulled out spots that haven't still been replicated and executed as perfectly as they did. Rey Jr. just went balls to the wall and Eddie caught him perfectly in every spot they worked in. Sting, Windham, Dustin, Steamboat and Koloff vs. Austin, Rude, Arn, Eaton and Zbyszko (WCW WrestleWar 1992) - My favorite cage match ever and maybe the most underrated cage match ever. I haven't watched it in a while, but both teams really brought it that night. This match also featured the best Ricky Steamboat fist pump in the history of wrestling.

    WrestleMania 32

People should like them. It's the one thing they've consistently done well for like 20 years. Agreed. If there's one thing they've been do well is garbage matches or at least most of the time they do. Plus Ambrose is excellent in them and Lesnar is pretty much excellent in any match type scenario, so this match should be great with MOTY candidate potential.

Agreed. AJ should've won the Rumble and then went on a gauntlet at Mania beating HHH, Reigns, Cena, Rollins, Hogan, the Rock, Austin, Punk, Bryan, Orton and Batista... That's the only way they could've possibly booked him into a credible main eventer from the get go, amirite? Seriously though... If the deal he signed for was as much money as it's rumored to be, how is he not making money? He a lost 1 match to a guy he beat twice, once before and once after that loss which pretty much put over he won the series and it's his only loss in about 10 matches. How's that going to hurt him? When has the Styles Clash been kicked out of? I don't watch SmackDown! and didn't pay that much attention to Fastlane, but I don't remember Y2J kicking out of it or anyone else kicking out of it on RAW. Bryan was small and they pointed it out many times. Do you think that's something that stopped him from being the most over star on the roster? It's also 2016. That mentally has changed a lot. If you don't believe me, look at their current roster and signees. Did you expect him to come in and become a main eventer from the get-go? Of course he wasn't going to be one. So it's no surprised he's been working the mid card for now. JBL is always putting over his credentials. Every single time JBL talks about him, all he does is glorify how he's a well traveled veteran who's a former IWGP champion. And one last time: Did you expect him to come in and become a main eventer from the get-go? Of course he wasn't going to be one. So it's no surprised he's been working the mid card for now. With that said, I'm done. There's no valid argument you can bring up to justify your train of thought and there's no point in me or anyone else bringing up why you're wrong if you're just going to continue ignoring it because he's not getting booked how you wanted to.

    WrestleMania 32

So we got HHH/Reigns, Taker/Shane HIAC and Ambrose/Lesnar street fight so far.

You do know these are 2 entirely different scenarios, correct? And I mean ENTIRELY different from every standpoint possible.

HHH is to inactive in the ring and wouldn't most likely want to compete on a regular basis. No matter what it seems like, there's no way he beats Reigns. Reigns beats him at Mania just so they can put over how he overcame the odds since December and is finally the world heavyweight champion in his first big WrestleMania moment.

How's that Edge & Christian show on the Network? I had as background last night after the PPV and it didn't seem very funny to me. It just seemed like some badly timed wrestling commentary comedy.

Shane's going to get thrown off the cell through a commentary table ala HBK in HIAC 1 and through the cage into the ring ala Mankind in HIAC 2. I wasn't really paying attention, but was the stipulation Shane beats Taker and he gets to run RAW or was it he gets to run RAW just for facing Taker at WM and that's his rewards for it? I took it as him getting to run RAW for taking the match, not for winning, but then again, as I said before, I wasn't paying attention... It looks like the Usos vs. the Dudleys tables matches or TLC at WM. Brock vs. Ambrose has street fight at WM has MOTY potential. I dug Y2AJ working together. I know most people think Y2J is over-the-hill, which he is, but I think him and AJ getting all of their spots in tonight was good fun. I prefer AJ moves on to something else unrelated to Y2J already though. AJ vs. KO at WM for the IC title instead of doing some multi-man ladder match for the title would be a lot better imo. That beatdown by HHH on Reigns to end the show was brutal.
  12. How was Ishii vs. Strong?
  13. Yeah, there's a good chance most of these guys won't be in it as HHH has expressed he's looking to get some guys from around the world and indies to participate in this. This isn't an NXT thing either, so they may keep Andrade off TV until this thing rolls around so they can push him in it.
  14. They already meet up with them over Ricochet, but nothing materialized or so I read online. I also read this was planned to get Manny Andrade aka La Sombra over.
  15. I'm almost certain this is real, even though I'm hoping it's a work. The only reason I can see anyone believing it's a work is because why would he announce it on Twitter instead of just making a surprise appearance and having him announce it as a surprise.
  16. I think you're honestly being overcritical. It's compared to Netflix because it's the equivalent of Netflix in Pro-Wrestling.
  17. I'm surprised anyone actually watches that.
  18. He's the IC champ, he's close with Reigns', he outlasted Brock and Roman in the RR and was the last participant eliminated from it. How does he not belong anywhere near the title picture right now?
  19. If it's an opinion based review instead of a play-by-play review; I read the entire thing. If it includes play-by-play, I just look over that and just go for the final paragraph as it usually includes the persons opinion. If it's a match I've never seen before, I'll skip the play-by-play even faster as that could play spoiler. If by middle section, you mean play-by-play, then honestly, no. Not trying to be a douche, but I value more your opinion than play-by-play. Their opinion namely on what they disliked/liked or thought worked/didn't work and why. Nothing more, nothing else. I enjoy reading anyone's reviews who like keeping it simple and straight forward. I don't have any preference honestly, but some people are to overly critical and negative I just avoid them entirely. One thing that irks me is fans who review stuff and if you don't agree with them will quickly cut you off and try and offend you simply because you disagree with their train of thought. To express my sentiment on it and bring across my train of thought. If it's something I feel is being overlooked, hopefully my thoughts on it can captivate others to at least give it some consideration.
  20. Aside from that Kalisto v. Rusev match, I'm uninterested enough to turn it off.
  21. That was good. I wish it was Kalisto vs. Rusev and not Del Rio.
  22. Loss is spot on saying he was an overachiever. Considering back then no one ever expected him to sign, he had a heck of a run. He had some great matches, was involved in some quality angles, became a world champ, made the most out of whatever situation he was in and got over big time with the WWE fans in no time.

    PWG

I followed PWG during their first year until about their first anniversay 12 or so years ago. Back then they were mainly focused on putting on cards featuring a lot of southern California wrestlers mixed in with the big indy names from northeast and mid south. The crowd were much smaller back then and the cards had matches that were a lot better on paper than they were. Considering they're a promotion out of southern California, the storylines usually revolved around the local talent and the founders (Excalibur, Super Dragon, Disco Machine, Joey Ryan, Scott Lost and Top Gun Talwar). Some key matches that were better on paper were for example Super Dragon & B-Boy vs. the Briscoes, Colt Cabana, Super Dragon and Adam Pierce vs. Frankie Kazarian, CM Punk and Joey Ryan, B-Boy & Homicide vs. Chris Hero & CM Punk and B-Boy & Homicide vs. American Dragon & Super Dragon. A problem I had with PWG was that the comedy was cringeworthy. Excalibur was funny sometimes, but the rest really wasn't most of the time. Another problem I had was that I enjoy watching my sports with commentary. I like it because it gives me a different perspective and sometimes they have stats, details, backstories and catch things I may not know or may have missed and a lot of the early PWG shows didn't have commentary and if they did it was recorded in a studio and not live and it killed off the crowd heat and reaction to the matches. After following them for about a year, I just got bored and lost interest.

    Shinjiro Ohtani

This was a pretty awesome beatdown from Ohtani from what I recall. He hits Sakuraba with some pretty brutal springboard moves. This is my favorite Jr. match of all time. Ohtani's arm selling is among my favorite moments ever.
