I'm watching the Unfiltered with Renee Young show and she's talking to Darren Young who's talking about coming out. Great stuff, and the CM Punk story is great. Basically, right after he came out he was backstage at catering in front of everyone,Punk came up to him, told him to stand up, Punk hugged him and told him he was proud of him for being so brave, and told him that if anyone gives him any shit , he'll take care of it. Thats cool as fuck.

Chanting the promotion's letters is a douche chilly deal now. It happened at the tiny Indy show I went to here, that I had a blast at, but it's awful now. But when it was ECW in the mid Nineties it was something new and was kinda fucking cool. Especially given the state of WWF and WCW at the time. At the time, that shit was fun and cool and different. And really, Who cares if people do it now and it stinks? If people are having fun then let them have fun. I hated the chanting of the initials at that Indy show but the folks next to me were doing it and loving it. I just kept my mouth shut cause who am I to shit on them having fun? And as far as the topic, You don't promote your wrestling product thinking about how it may effect the future, you promote your show for the time it's happening.

The Dusty special was fucking great. I'm still crying. And of course they used the stuff from the old doc. It's been less than a week, kinda tough to arrange, film, and produce an entirely new show. And since they wanted to have a lot of Dusty himself talking about his career the old doc is where you go outside of a fucking seance.😀

Mid South/ UWF in 1986 was week to week pretty awesome.

Me and Dusty at a ROH show back in 2004. While I was waiting in line to get my picture taken with him, the guy ahead of me showed us that he was gonna ask Dusty to sign the Ric Flair DVD set. We were all like, What the fuck?" So when he gets to Dust and asks him Dusty says, "Why not? I'm on half o' this. Ric's lost my phone numbah since it came out, I want some residuals." So after my picture was taken with him I said "Thanks, Dream." Another dude said "That's not the Dream, that's the Midnight Rider." I said, "Nah, it's one of The James Boys. Dusty turns to me and said "Damn! You remembah that shit?" RIP Dusty, you were the best.

Just because something is marketed to kids, it doesn't mean the ticket buying parents can't or won't enjoy it. Pee Wee Herman is considered a genius by both of my parents, aunts, uncles, etc. After every episode my mom and our neighbor across the street would walk outside and scream the "word of the day" at each other. Its great that your mom and neighbor were waking and baking on Saturday mornings but what does that have to do with my point? 😃
